We came for brunch on a Sunday. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the kitchen was very slow - we waited over an hour for our food and that seemed to be the norm. The food was decent. Not bad and not amazing. The breakfast potatoes were our favorite!

You never get a second chance to make a first impression... First impression from the outside was typical hometown bar. Locals all turned to see who was walking in. Greeted by a beautiful soul, Helena, to sit anywhere! Taco Tuesday was the perfect day to visit downtown Madison with $2.50 select Tacos & tasty Margaritas! Also off the menu we selected Bread Sticks with great housemade beer cheese, Burger & Tots, did not disappoint! Definitely a place to checkout when visiting Madison! Don't forget to checkout the restrooms for some beautiful artwork.

My first time in Madison Indiana and I'm in love with this town. Charming is an understatement. We had so much fun in the short time we were there. I don't believe I've enjoyed walking, especially in the cold, down streets oohing and aahing over the beautiful homes, businesses and atmosphere. I can't believe I've never been. So we walked down Main Street and stopped at Off Broadway Tavern for some bites. There was a wonderful musician playing outside which I absolutely loved. Nothing like being serenaded and getting your belly full. The atmosphere is fun and homey. The staff was helpful and amazing. We ordered the hummus plate for an appetizer, The Wrangler Burger and a Sweet Potato Taco. The hummus was delicious and it was fresh!!!! Served with small pita chips that were the bomb!!!! I couldn't shove them in my piehole fast enough. Also served with carrots, celery and cucumber. The Wrangler Burger was delish as well. Flavorful burger with cheddar cheese, bacon, green, tomato, chipotle bbq aioli and the sprinkles on the cake....Fries Jalapeños. Yummy! Now before you say omg a Sweet Potato Taco....let me tell you this was THE BEST most flavorful sweet potato taco that I've ever had in my life I hate every bit of it. I've never had a sweet potato that tasted that great. Overall I give this place too stars. We will definitely be back.

The taproom was very much a bar with bar food. The green fried tomatoes were deliciously fried and the salad I ordered was huge. The bartender was busy on a Wednesday night so there wasn't a lot of interaction, but there was just enough seats for us to sit at the bar. The restaurant was small but not claustrophobic. I would come back again, but would try to come before the rush to have a table to sit and talk rather than sitting at the bar.

This was a great place to stop in and eat! Lots of options! Very good food and great service! Definitely recommend!

This is such a neat establishment, looks like an old saloon inside. They have a lot of great beers on tap from local breweries both from Indiana and Kentucky. I had the fried green tomato BLT and it was so good. I'd highly suggest coming here if you are in the downtown Madison area and looking for friendly service, cold beer and great food.

Stopped here on our way home from an appointment. Such a cool spot. The food was delicious and service was excellent! I always forget how many cool spots Madison has. Will definitely be back!

Should you find yourself in Madison, Indiana, on the banks of the Ohio River strolling the town's historic main street in need of a bite and brew, you really should stop in at the Off Broadway Taproom. It's one of those places that could have been featured by Guy Fieri as a 5-star "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives." The vibe is laid-back funky, the taps include an excellent velvet-soft amber ale, but the star is the sweet potato taco with local hot sauce-- the chef's special creation. You can't miss her-- striking as she is with her multiple tats! Her signature creation blends roasted sweet potato, shredded cabbage, pico de gallo, black beans and corn salsa with vegan sour cream. I was not there long enough to test the menu including the blackened crawfish. Next time....

We had the best service and lunch at this cute establishment. We passed by it twice before we found it because the outside street sign was missing. We had a wonderful server who was very familiar with the menu and made recommendations. Everything is homemade in their kitchen. Thomas enjoyed wings and two tacos. I had the VEGAN black bean and mushroom burger with a side salad. The burger and salad were excellent and filled me up as the portions were generous. I was so thrilled to see at least 4 vegan options on the menu. The restaurant is older but clean and well maintained. The bathrooms are as well. I would definitely return and I highly recommend it.

The atmosphere is exactly what you'd want from a neighborhood taproom: casual, lively, and family-friendly. The bar is huge, with an impressive selection of draft beers (especially if you're an IPA fan), and they also have bourbon bottles available for purchase. We ordered burgers, and they were all really good. One bun seemed a little stale, but it didn't take away from the overall meal. The cheese curds were a standout: piping hot, crispy, and definitely worth ordering. The beef nachos, on the other hand, were a bit disappointing. They arrived cold and just didn't have the same wow factor as the rest of the food. My sweet potato fries were a little soggy, but I took the leftovers home and popped them in the air fryer the next day, and they turned out fantastic. Overall, I'd definitely go back.
