While waiting for the Highway Patrol, I called the closest auto shop- Affinity Auto- to see if they could be sure my car would be able to drive back to St. Augustine that night. The entire staff was SO kind and considerate. They made sure the car was safe and only charged me the minimum charge to secure the bumper. The mechanic also noticed the tires were all a little low on air, so filled those for me, too. So nice ! THEN comes the amazing part. I drove about 10 minutes away and locked my freaking keys in the car. It was 5:05pm on Friday evening and they drove to my location and unlocked the car for me! Above and beyond! It was a pretty awful day for me, but Affinity Automotive made it as good as it possibly could be. THANK YOU!

Friday comes I get nothing, I call the advisor and he tells me that they ordered the key late on Friday and it should be done by Tuesday. Tuesday comes no update, then Friday comes no update again, so I call to finally get an answer that they still don't have my key prepared. 3 days later I get a update that my key is on a back order, and they don't know exactly when my key comes, it will just be sometime in September. At this point I have no vehicle and I needed transportation to get to Miami where I was working at the time. For 2-3 months I had to go from Miami to Orlando with NO VEHICLE, when I asked about a loaner they told me I qualify for a loaner because of a policy they have, but they want me to pay $1,230 for a key???? Horrible service and made this situation a huge inconvenience.

After scheduling an independent prepurchase inspection received the dealership's initial with an additional "Reconditioning" fee of $1987. When challenged, "the manager approved" a reduction of $500 for this "standard" fee. I let the vehicle go. Salesperson continued to ping my email with pressure that another sale might be pending, so I rereviewed the website and noted that Orlando Preowned advertises in general an on the specific vehicle "Zero Junk Fees & Zero Dealer Fees: The price you see is the price you get". While I'm no lawyer, this infers to me that the price on the vehicle landing page is the sale price I should expect. When confronted with this insight (with the GM copied), the salesperson dug their heels in again, reiterating this was a "standard" fee. The GMs response was to cut/paste the salespersons email as a reply without addition. Now I'm not a dumb consumer, and clearly certinly not as bright as the employees of this company, but " The price you see is the price you get" does mean something to the most of us, and I don't' think it aligns with Orlando Preowned's point of view. Of course, the wait allowed us time to look in depth at the Carfax History that is provided FREE OF CHARGE!! I found that many dealers require you to purchase it. My son, brother-in-law, and I arrived right around opening time and talked with Pete, one of the managers. Pete worked quickly with the necessary paperwork and releases so we could take the desired car for a test drive. My son confirmed with my brother-in-law and me that he did want to purchase the car, and after some negotiation and arrangements, he purchased the car. In our county's current car shortage situation, a decision needed to be made sooner than later. Pete was great to work with - he knows the vehicles and history - and explained the whole purchase process and what each disclosure, agreement, and acknowledgement meant. No worries here about the "old-time" car salesman routine! I whole-heartedly recommend the dealer because of Pete and Mike, the owner, and the quality of cars. Although the inventory is smaller than a regular dealer, checking it out is worth your time.
