Three hours to remove two clips and a bolt is insane. Jeep Wrangler on one of the easiest exhausts to remove and replace and it took them three hours as professionals (it was not busy). Afterwards, I had to remind them to install the tips of the exhaust. Overall they did the install and they seem like nice guys, but definitely over quoting for some installations. read more

I have been a customer for a short while now spent quite a bit of money in their store I bought Kelly raised rock sliders for my long bed. Tacoma paid in full told him I'd be back in a couple weeks to do the install. he quoted me 3 to 350 for the install I paid $1600 for which at this point I own them we left them there at the store. They asked me if I already picked them up. then the manager tells me it's $541 for the install. I said that's ridiculous. I was already quoted 3 to 350 that's with taking my old Nerf bars off which I did myself instead turns out they don't even have my sliders anymore. Apparently they sold them then they tried to put on a pair that was about 2 1/2 to 3 feet too short without even asking me if I'm OK with that which is absolutely crazy and ridiculous in the end I wasted an hour and a half there just to get a refund with no real remorse from them, these people are full of crap. I would not trust them to install a plunger in a sink. The work they did previously left scratches in my paint in several areas on my truck that had not there at the time I left the truck in their care beware beware beware ! on YouTube the same install from the manufacturer themselves quote an hour to an hour and a half for an install in your own driveway at home with minimal tools. Stay away from this shop! They have no idea what they are doing and lack experience. I brought my Jeep Wrangler into the shop for a basic 2 inch lift and they installed it incorrectly and I had to bring it back to get it fixed and when I picked my jeep up the next day, it will not even run. Now they're saying that my jeep was that way when I dropped it off, which it clearly was not since I drove it there! They're not willing to take any responsibility for damaging my jeep which they were working on prior to it not being drivable. I asked them what they would do to make things right and their manager, Jake Morton, said, "nothing". I had to have it towed from off-road warehouse to my mechanic. I have owned a half a dozen similar jeeps and have never experienced anything like this. Complete hacks! (I just read Jake's response below, more lies from these hacks - there were zero issues mechanically when I dropped my off jeep, after I picked it up the next day it was not even drivable. They say it was that way when I dropped it off - if that was the case how did I even drive it there?? It's a shame that businesses like ORW with employees like Jake M exist in San Diego. They replaced some wheels for my truck. They over torqued the wheel lug nuts so my wheel fell off. They replaced the studs and put on new spacers, but then over torqued or cross threaded the lug nut on the spacer. Needless to say I ordered new spacers and put them on myself. Going to Discount for all wheel and tire needs from now on, we have purchased two more wheel and tire sets since the ORW experience and we purchased at Discount, they are great. read more

I brought my new Ford Raptor to Off-Road Warehouse in San Diego to get reverse lights installed. The install seemed quick, but the first night I tested them, one light only worked half the time. I called the next day and scheduled an appointment. When I came in, they said the light was faulty--but instead of replacing the single bad Baja Designs S2 Sport, they insisted I buy an entirely new pair. After some research, I realized I didn't need both replaced, but they clearly wanted the extra sale. After paying again, I picked up the truck only to find one of the lights was crooked. I asked David to fix it, and he basically brushed it off saying "we didn't touch that light today," even though they installed both lights just last week. Frustrating experience overall--I left with a crooked light and no accountability. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place. read more

I needed a broken bracket from my Air Ride suspension kit repaired. After consulting the counter guy, we both agreed that welding the broken bracket would be the fastest and most effective way to fix the issue. The counter guy said his shop welder would handle the repair for a nominal fee ($20) and he would call me when it was fixed. Much to my surprise it was finished within 20 min. of drop-off. Not only was the part welded expertly but it was also refinished to match the original part. If you didn't know it had been broken you would never detect the repair work. I didn't expect ORW to accommodate a walk-up customer with an odd-ball request so professionally. I will be back for my off road needs because they passed my "customer service" test! read more

Different quotes from workers in the same building. One worker quoted $800 for installing a no drill Prinsu roof rack for a 5th gen. Toyota 4Runner, along with a rear Prinsu ladder. Four days later I decided to let them install it and Ian gave me a quote for almost double the price. $1,536.00. I complained but he stuck to that price. Spent over $4,000 on new shocks and tie-rods, upper/lower control arms, and ball joints on my lifted 2003 Chevy Tahoe. Drove away confident my truck could handle the Baja rough roads but noticed heavy tire rub and squeaking about half way through the trip. I looked inside my wheel well and noticed that the new upper control arm was 1/4" away from the tire with tires straight ahead. When parked, I turned the wheels to fullest extension and they were pressing in the sidewalls of my nice KO2 tires. How could ORW do a road and visual test and say everything checks out? If I were not in a hurry to leave town, I would done that check myself but trusted the "ORW" experience. Due to this mishap, I had to slowly crawl back out of Baja making sure I didn't turn too tight as to not cut into my tires. All it would have taken is a phone call from the service rep to recommend wheel spacers and I would have gladly added them to the order. I will now be putting the wheel spacers myself to correct the problem. I hope my tires didn't get damaged too badly. Very disappointing read more

I took my brand new truck in to have it worked on. They damaged my vehicle. When I went back the salesman took photos of the damage and said he would have his manager call me back. After a week I had to call in. I spoke to the manager Jake on the phone and he said that he couldn't say how the damage happened. After letting him know that the damage was not noted on their pre inspection he agreed to pay for 1/2 of the damaged part and have it installed if I would go to the dealer, get the part and schedule with him to have it installed. His exact words were "I'll meet you halfway and have it installed." When I went to pick up my truck after the part was installed Jake told me that he was not paying for any of it. When I reminded him of our conversation where he said he would meet me halfway he said that he never said that. Unfortunately Jake is not a man of his word and lost a customer. I was the first person in line this morning. Came for a new rear end, control arms, and a cold air intake. I was expecting this to take a couple hours. I understand it's a tall task. What I don't understand is the lack of integrity, decency, and virtue this place has. If I wanted to take my front wheels off and let my truck sit in a garage for 7 plus hours while every single employee walked by and saw me sitting in the waiting area just to put them on right before closing time just to charge me extra for "labor" I could have called my uncle. I'm riding on 37" tires that track perfectly straight, the ride is amazingly smooth and quiet, yet I still have tremendous articulation and off road capability for a daily driver rig. Took my 2016 Tacoma TRD Offroad 4x4 to ORW with a horrible squeak in my King/Total Chaos suspension. They had my truck for hours and charged me hundreds of dollars. They lubricated everything, which took the squeak away for about a week. They told me to buy some Tri-Flow and spray it in several places often to get rid of the squeak. I did, but the squeak was awful. I took my truck to The Truck Shop, and they immediately diagnosed it at a badly worn out and ovaled heim in my King suspension. They were so worn out it took hours to get them out, but once replaced, my truck was once again as squeak free as the day I got it. I was surprised recently when my mechanic popped his head out from under the hood of my Scion xB and said, 'yup. Your cold air intake is totally busted! You can't pass smog with your car like this. And, we're not allowed to work on specialty parts at our shop, so I can't help you. You should definitely go to Off Road Warehouse.' "Off Road Warehouse?.....Really?" I mulled over to myself. In my mind, I pictured ORW as a place for the serious off-road enthusiast, the types that drive lifted Jeeps and trucks so high you'd need a stepladder. Not 2005 Scions for chrissakes. But I really needed to pass smog, and get my car fixed so over to ORW I went. Abraham, ORW's Jeep Expert greeted me at the front and was super friendly. He did a quick check in the system and my AEM cold air intake was long discontinued. And the company AEM got bought out by someone else. But, Abraham persisted and got the rep for the new parent company on the phone and was able to track down one of the last parts for my intake from lord knows where across the U.S.! A week later the part was in town and I was able to drive over and they installed it in a snap! I'll be back to get my cold air intake serviced in the future and my permanent air filter cleaned. Called the customer service and found they didn't have them in stock and needed to buy the lights from KC.... asked if I would pay an additional $280 (nearly full price)... I agreed and asked if brackets would be included, which he said yes... 20 min later I called to cancel and sent a message but no response...
