The technicians at ORW are incompetent and the staff is condescending and unapologetic. I brought my Raptor here to have Method wheels mounted with tires and installed. They completed the job and I went home. A few days later, late at night on the highway, my tire precipitously lost air pressure and I had to pull over. I thought I had a puncture, but there was nothing wrong with the tire, and the bead was seated correctly. But the valve stem was just loosely sitting in the wheel and had not been pulled through and was not seated and leaking air. I managed to get home and check the other wheels, and in fact they forgot to pull the valve stem through on the other rear wheel as well and it was just barely holding pressure from the inflated tire. I had to make an appointment to take my truck back, and have them correct their mistake. They wouldn't admit that they made a mistake and said that two of the valve stems were faulty, which is complete BS. It was a big inconvenience and I had to miss my son's soccer game for their mistake. They gave me no apology, no discount, and treated me as if I was inconveniencing them. I will never take my vehicles here again. Lousy customer service and incompetent technicians. read more

I had a terrible customer experience at this establishment, enough to warrant this one measly star. Should management wish to contact me for an explanation feel free, I had bolt on side steps out on a Jeep Grand Cherokee today, 1/15/21. Look it up and give me a call, I'd be happy to explain everything that took place in your absence. I would give 0 stars if I could but, the initial customer service was good. Salesman recommended a decent light bar and came out to my 2024 Silverado to ensure light bar would fit. Then it went downhill. I have a brand new truck with a brand new roll bar and brand new light bar and the wiring and connector are exposed to the elements and just flopping around. Full expectation to have the harness and connector inside the roll bar and protected via existing grommet and conduit; but that was wishful thinking. Instead they took my $400 installation fee and did the fastest assembly line install they could to move onto the next unsuspecting customer. I received no contact via phone or email for approval to absolutely destroy the cosmetics of my roll bar. I now have an eye sore of 6 holes and a cable running down it. I also have a 4in X 1in connector that simply flops around on my truck bed ledge. I know the shop isn't going stand by their principals and fix this. I am 100% sure that not one of them would have installed this using this same logic on their own personal vehicle. I had to return four times to get leaky airbags inspected then make appointments to get replaced and Adrian was helpfully everyone else pretty much said talk to Adrian until I got pissed off at the big bald guy and told him I'm not making a apoitment to get them inspected again I'm here ! So inspect it not everyone has days to waste on a crappy product or install causing the bags to leak could do without the attitude. read more

I've been wanting some new tires and a leveling lift for my truck for some time now. Did some calling around and spoke to one of the sales reps (Mike) that was immediately extremely helpful for me. He gave me his personal number so we could stay in-touch while I waited for parts to come in and verify of the tires would fit. He always offer a sound opinion on what should work and I ended up getting the Fox 2.0 performance series with Method wheels and new 35" tires for up coming hunting trip. He always kept good communication with me. They installed it and so far (only 150-200 miles in) so good. What impressed me though was that today after some off-roading I noticed a pretty loud and strong rattle from under my truck. Mike was able to set up an appointment for a technician to check it out and they found that all of my crossmember bolts were completely loose!!! They never had to remove the crossmember so I know that couldn't have been there fault. I recently had to get my diesel particulate filter replaced and water pump, and I'm pretty sure the dealer (Chrysler San Diego) left the bolts loose. Anyways, the ORW guys found the problem and tightened the bolts (an easy fix, but something they didn't have to do, and cost them their time and money) free of charge. Highly recommend, everyone I dealt with there was professional and helpful. read more

My wife took our 2007 Hummer H3 in for just a simple engine oil change and filter. 5 qts of no brand oil and standard oil filter... she was charged $106.00. EGREGIOUS, to say the least. When I called to challenge this ridiculous charge, the employee ( forgot his name) could care less, said " we dont normally do oil changes as our labor rate is $140.00\hr and we only charged 1/2 hr labor". Apparently, the buzz going around the offroad industry is true about ORW in that their prices are a rip-off. I have had extensive suspension and Armor product / labor work done at ORW when owned by the previous owner and no issue. However, I would never step foot in their shop again and couldn't recommend this business or the sales guys who seem to have attitude rather than thanks for customers walking in. My 4Runner 5.5 qt oil change at The truck shop cost just $69.00 Yet ORW feels they can ake advantage of a woman and charge her $106.00. I would caution anyone, especially a woman, to NOT patronize this business. read more

Stay away. They will overcharge you for service and labor. I went to them to buy two L-shaped brackets to add support to my truck bed. A very simple install job of drilling in the two brackets. This location quoted me $165 for the job... the brackets themselves cost less than this.. i called another ORW location in el cajon and they quoted me $270 for the same job.. absolutely ridiculous. A trusted off-road shop in Chula Vista was able to install the brackets i bought from ORW for just $75 and did a great job. On top of this, i ordered these brackets for in store pick-up at ORW. The same day that i stopped by to pick up the parts, i receive an email that my order has shipped? Sure enough, they sent a duplicate set of brackets to my billing address (2 hours from where i live now). Now i have to deal with returning those somehow. Be careful here. read more

Spent over 7k for new lift, tires/rims about two years ago. They did a good job in the installation and Abe was super helpful. Makes sense though to be nice to you when they want your money. But..... every time I call to schedule a tire rotation or try to get some small maintenance done the guys on the phones are A holes. Stopped in to Off Road Warehouse today to get info on lifting my Jeep. Talked to a couple of the guys at the counter (both were awesome). They took their time talking to me, went out and looked at my Jeep to find out exactly what I liked and was trying to do. I really appreciated the attention they gave to what I wanted (as opposed to trying to shove products down my throat and just get $$ out of me). I left with a totally reasonable quote an appointment to have the work done. I'll update you all once the works done!! So far, super happy customer!! Update: Since this original post I have trusted 3 of my vehicles to ORW and I couldn't be happier with ALL of them!! We have 2 jeeps and a 4Runner and these guys do everything for them. I read these other reviews about things coming loose etc. but the salesmen are VERY clear that you have to come back after 500 miles and get things checked and adjusted. You are modifying trucks with aftermarket parts and then hitting off road trails...yeah, things will come loose. These guys are awesome though! I was on one trail and realized when I hit the main road again that something was jacked up (my doing, not theirs), I called Abe (on a Sunday) and he arranged a tow truck to get us back to the shop so they could check it out just to be sure I'd be safe! I have to say that if not for Jared, I would have gone with an ORW competitor before I chose to spend thousands of dollars at this establishment. I have been to the San Diego ORW store several times over many years and would like to share my customer service experience with you. In June 2011, I came into ORW to lift my 2005 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. I purchased a lift kit, new shocks, new tires, as well as other parts that were required to make the lift possible. I also paid for the labor to install and remove all of the parts on my Jeep as required. I have a business background and part of it being a Contracting Officer for the U.S. Govt, so I went to 3 different off-road shops prior to giving ORW my business. In the end, ORW gave me the best bang for my buck and matched their local competitors price thus winning my business. After making an appointment, the work was completed in one day and the work was done properly. If you are serious about getting your truck or Jeep lifted, I recommend that you give ORW San Diego a call and give them the opportunity to give you a quote. Was a walk in... these shills quoted me 4 wheels and tires with a 2.5inch leveling spacer install... The wheels with mount/balance came out to 2700... LOL they literally charged me MSRP. This is the real humdinger... they wanted 650 for a 2.5 strut spacer install. Told me I needed camber nuts on my 19 f150 to get more room for alignment. These are a luxury not a requirement. I called them out on it and they told me alignment would be out of wack without them... lol no. The real problem is the 140 dollar MSRP cost of plastic spacers and the 500 install cost. Besides the cam nuts i stayed mostly silent as I had experience installing strut spacers and other suspension work back in the day. I walked in looking for an installer to save time... the minute I heard the price I immediately peaced our. Ended up getting same wheels/tire mounted and balanced at DiscountTire for 1940 out the door and installed the strut spacers myself on a free weekend. Had the alignment done on base. No issues. Overall staff seemed pushy, way overpriced, and the whole cam nuts conversation made me question their integrity. Do not recommend. read more

Its not everyday that I go shopping for trucks parts, but when I do they usually have the parts in stock but not in this case. I stopped by to get some shocks, they had those, I also needed some sway bar link extension but not in stock, maybe its just me but the Grand Cherokee "ZJ" is very popular maybe not for rock crawling but they're good trail rigs, so parts should be fairly accessible, so I probably won't return un less I need shocks again. or buy a tj because it seems that they stock parts for those.. read more

Ordered a Ram Rack for my 19 Ram Rebel through ORW, comes in same day, go home, and it's not the right size rack for my truck, take it back and they say it will be in in 2 days. I call when it was supposed to be in they said two more days.... I call again on the supposedly due date... still not in and states that it's going to be another 4 days until it's in... it's been two weeks and I still have nothing other than ORW pointing fingers at MOPAR or whoever they ordered it from, when ORW are the ones that ordered the wrong part for my truck in the first place. Definitely not going back and I will not be doing business here in the future, that's for sure. read more

Wow, so many bad reviews they can't all be wrong. I thought it was just me until I read these reviews. The staff is hit and miss. Mostly nice but some are very cocky and arrogant! I have been shopping here for about 18 years and have definitely seen a decline of service and integrity. They must of changed ownership in the last few years. I'm surprised the owner or manager does nothing to respond to the negative comments or attempt to appease the customers. What do I know...I only ran a 12 M business. I've had several issues with them over the years but the most recent one was I was told if I want to do the job correctly, I have to buy some $700/bilstein shocks instead of telling me yes we can get you what you want. I know what I wanted and was just asking for a quote. Second issue, I wanted a price quote for a Shrockwork rear bumper and the manager told me he could give me a better price than if I ordered it myself. The written quote they gave me was full retail. I called the next day to ask about the price and the guy on the phone said they could not do better on the price even after I said the manager (and I gave his name) said he would. He took my name an number and said he would have the manager call me back bc he was on a test drive but I never got a call back. Typical! These are just a few examples of the lack of service everyone is talking about but the biggest problem I think I have is just the cockiness. Ill just have to go to 4 wheel parts instead...the ones who installed the ICON stage 5 suspension, Method wheels, BFG KM2 for my sons new 4 Runner TRD. Im sure they won't treat us like that. I ordered a lift kit from another shop and brought it to these guys and they were happy to apply it. I ordered wheels and tires through them as well, everything went smooth. If they don't have it, they'll order it, and that was my only remote disappointment which wasn't really their fault was that the American Racing Wheels I ordered were on backorder. However, Junior, one of the employees made stuff happen so they got to me and put on my truck a lot sooner than later. Went there for a squeak in my Total Chaos suspension. They replaced a ball joint which cost me close to $500. A few weeks later the other ball joint started to squeak and I put some grease on it - problem solved. So #1, they replace parts that are not needed. To make things worse, they screwed up my alignment, which caused a tire to wear out. I even took the truck back and had them inspect it after I saw premature tire wear. They told me the alignment was perfect, which was wrong. I took my truck to BeeLine, and they instantly diagnosed the alignment - they said it was "way off". So, ORW will replace parts that don't need to be replaced, and their shop does not even know how to do alignment. read more

Don't ever order parts from here. They tell you a day it will be here be prepared to wait way longer! They say they will call you and won't. I've called for three days from the day i was suppose to have my part. I ordered a cargo carrier and let them know the day I had to start my drive to move cross country. The night before I have to go it's still not here! Just don't bother.
