THE best Quesabirrias!!! This review is almost a year overdue. We stopped here on our way back from Santa Barbara heading back to the bay. By the luck of God, we randomly stumbled upon this place in search for Mexican food, and man, it not disappoint! Hands-down, the best quesabirrieas we have ever tried ever! The dipping sauce was the most fresh, flavorful sauce of any! And the Quesabirria taco meat were full of flavor and cooked to a crisp golden perfection!! If we lived close by, I without a doubt, would be coming here on a weekly basis! needless to say, it was so good, I have it bookmarked as a destination point on our next trip down this summer lol Until next time!

Lots of delicious, flavorful meat in scrumptious tortillas. I was looking for some great tacos and was not disappointed! Great service and quick prep. The restaurant is perfect for dropping in for a quick lunch bite. It was quaint, clean, and prompt with service.

My husband and I were looking for a place to eat before going to do some wine tasting and found this wonderful gem! This place has been here for 2 years and hopefully it continues to be here. Front first glance you can tell is popular from all the people eating inside and outside. They had a $2 taco Tuesday and so I decided to have some tacos, I ordered an Al pastor, carnitas and Chile verde taco. All were delicious, my husband had 3 of the Al pastor and he also liked them. I also ordered an horchata, and you can tell it's home made, it was sweet and creamy. We also ordered some chips and salsa and a side of beans. All of it was delicious and legit. I am so glad that I came across this place.

The food was very good . I asked the cashier what he suggested . We got the quesabirria taco plate and nachos plate . They were both exceptionally good and filling . Great food and prices made this an outstanding value !! Customer service was on point . Indoor and outdoor seating is also available. We'll be back for sure !!

What a gem in an otherwise underwhelming shopping center! I'm so thankful for Yelp, otherwise I wouldn't have discovered this place. The vibe is super casual and the interior is small with a large kitchen and long bar with lots of counter seating. The staff is super friendly and attentive. We were greeted immediately & placed our order soon after. We both got the street tacos entree which comes with 3 tacos, rice and beans. My husband also got a burrito bowl and we ordered 2 horchata which were excellent btw, a total treat. The tacos are good. Of the ones we tried (pastor, carnitas and asada) the asada was by far my favorite. The meat was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I also loved the rice and beans. Before we left, I made plans for what I'd order on our next visit! :)

This is one of those hole in the wall kinda places. I'm visiting from out of town, I was craving Al Pastor Tacos, then I found this Mexican restaurant. I'm glad I went here, because the food was really good! The service was excellent! I ordered my Street Taco Entree, and 5 mins later it was ready and fresh! It's also authentic Mexican dish, way better than any upscale Mexican restaurant I've been to.

Service is great and we love this place. We would be here a lot more as we live less than1m away, if it were not for the god awful 'country music'. Please just shut it off. Your chef clearly has attention to detail and is a prodigy. We loved the tortillas and butter you previously served, but the freshly fried tortilla chips, fresh homemade salsa and sauces were delightful and a much appreciated prelude to our lovely meal. We love the speakeasy. The bartender is absolutely wonderful. Best cocktails I've ever had. I would argue he is the best in the county. Frankly I love to just request 'dealers choice' and he makes the most amazing drinks I've ever had. Fun way to spend a weekend evening. Can I please just say one more time, get rid of this horrific noise. We love the DJ in the speakeasy! So cool, and great music in there. Even if we are not completely vibing with it, it's curated and inoffensive. Can I say, what a joy to have Beso in our neighborhood. We love this place (just NOT this 'music'). We come in for breakfast/brunch or dinner and the music is so annoying/uncomfortable/noxious, that we leave before ordering desert, etc. would hang out longer, would be in more frequently if not for that one big adversity. It takes a month or more to extinct the unpleasantness of the 'music' , we come in and there it is, all over again and we are reminded of why we don't visit more. Please fix this!!

The menu now includes only a few generic Mexican dishes and a single Margarita, apparently to keep folks like us from just turning around and going home (I was very tempted). They don't even have anything like the broad beer selection like that at the Arroyo Grande Blast & Brew, which has many of their own very good brews. We got the Chile Verde nachos, but it was tough to find much Chile Verde. They nicely split the order into two plates without our asking, apparently because we indicated that we would be sharing and charged $5 for that useless "improvement". Adding two tiny containers of dipping sauces for the Truffle Fries added $1.50 each (no one mentioned that they were "extra"). We don't care about the added cost, but this seems like a sleazy attempt to squeeze as much revenue as possible from patrons. We certainly will never go back.

They were incredibly nice and let us bring in our lovely puppy who behaved greatly. The ambiance was wonderful, lighting was nice, not too loud, and good vibes in general. The singular best thing we got was the Queso Fundido. Literally the best one I have ever had. I'm from Texas and have had a embarassing amount of Latin/Mexican food. We were so incredibly hopeful that everything was going to be at the same level. We also got the Salsa Trio to start which was great. We got some house margs, and a Pinada which were all great flavor, the margs seemed a little light on the alcohol, but overall good. For entree's the adults got Short Rib and Molcajete. The short rib itself was cooked great, but the sauce was very sweet and the chutney like topper was also sweet. I think it would have done a lot better with some more acid or heat or something. The Molcajete was very average and a bit overcooked. The kids got the tenders, which I wouldn't judge any restaurant on, that's just nice for kids to have. The other kiddo got the bean burrito. The flour tortilla was great but it was mostly cheese and just a few beans. We decided to send it on desert for some redemption and got Tres Leches, Flan, and Churros. The Churros tasted freezer burnt, the Flan was extremely over done and hard (not a Flan texture at all), and the Tres Leches was dense and pretty dry which was a bummer. All that being said, I would give it a shot. My sister was with me and said they had been before and really liked the enchilladas. I would go back and try some other things to give them a shot. The Queso Fundido was so incredible I would go back just for that to be honest. Anyways, we will be trying something else around the area tonight and hoping for the best!
