3 of us ended up here on a Tuesday at lunchtime because Taqueria Pacheco was closed for no apparent reason. There was one guy eating by himself and one worker. She was very friendly, but not very communicative. We asked for a menu and were told to look at the wall where there were some photos and lists of dishes, but no prices. We were just trying to get some burritos to take on the highway, so we each ordered what we wanted. Then she went in the back, washed her hands, and made the burritos. The burritos were good and the salsa provided was decent. The inside of the place is dingy and uninviting and not even pleasant for just waiting for takeout food. Food is always served hot off the stove and prepared as soon as you order. If they're busy you may have to wait for your food. But it's worth the short wait. Maybe ten minutes. Drinks are either bottles or cans. Soda, beer, water, juice, you choose. They have karaoke in the evenings on the weekends which usually draws a fun crowd. The kitchen is open for orders too. They have plenty of tables and chairs as the restaurant is huge. The employees are always pleasant and ready to prepare your food. They take phone orders if you're short for time. Best damn Mexican food I've had in the three years I have lived in California. Fresh; made to order. Handmade tortillas (they have a wooden tortilla press in the kitchen right next to the stoves) that are absolutely phenomenal. Authentic food (though the refried beans seemed as if they came from a can). Good portion size; good value for the prices (expect to spend about $10-$20/person). My wife and I were still talking about how good the food was the next day. We will definitely make the 2-hour drive from Lemoore to Soledad to eat there again soon. read more

I'm very honest with my reviews and I promise I will NEVER come back to this place again. I ordered two bowls of menudo and I was overcharged. The elder lady at the cashier explained that current menu given to customers is NOT updated with price they have in their register. The order of two $8.00 bowls shouldn't have totaled $26.07. Can't force an ignorant cashier to credit back a charge, she even blamed her own staff saying "not my fault she's new" take your money else where!!! read more

We went about a month ago because It been years since I had gone there. The waitress/cashier was not friendly. She did not greet us or seat us, and she had a sternness about her the whole time. They had no menus (because I asked) and just a wall sign with SOME of the items they served, but they had no prices. My son and his girlfriend both got 2 tacos and they were poorly made. They had barely any filling. My son said the meat was really bland even with the salsa. My other son got a chile verde burrito, and it was more rice and beans with hardly any meat or verde sauce. I ordered a gordita and it was good, but it was really small. I had to order another one just to get full. My plate had very little rice and beans and they did not carry any diet drinks. I had to go next door to the liquor store to buy a Coke Zero. My bill was over $70. How? I don't even know because nothing on my receipt was itemized. I only got a copy of the receipt of what I had paid. I will NEVER come back to this place again. I left a tip only because I'm not a jerk, but the woman who worked there didn't even have it coming. read more

Did not like at all. I ordered some green salsa chilaquiles. Was sooo salty. And it tasted like can green sauce. Not home made at all. Horchata was too sweet. Too much lechera. The was place was lonely. Many people came in, but left do to lack of service. Not good place to eat. read more

You gotta try their super quesadilla made with an extra large maiz tortilla. I like mine with shrimp hold the lettuce. Fresh lettuce in a piping hot quesadilla just becomes soggy and wilted. This is a one of kind dish that I've never seen at another taco spot. read more

I'm honestly really disappointed. I came here because it had 5 stars on google maps and let me tell you it wasn't 5 stars. I walked up and it was kinda sketch to begin with but I was hungry so I continued. I order my food and waited way to long for the amount of people in there, which was only 2 other couples who had ordered before we got there. More people come in and order and get their food before us. Almost all of the tables were full with dishes from previous guests and there was no chips and salsa. I then get my food and there's literally no meat on my tacos. I ordered no onions and one of them looks like they picked the onions off where the other doesn't look like they bothered. I had 2 chicken tacos and they were delicious! I'm usually pretty picky about salsa, but I really enjoyed the slightly spicy salsa that came with my food. It's a small restaurant that had only one worker (I assume the owner) but she was very kind, and although my friend and I aren't fluent in Spanish, we had no issues communicating our order to her and everything came out exactly as we asked. Not to mention the prices are more than reasonable. So I will definitely go again if I get the opportunity! I should have known not to eat here when I first walked in. There is a small courtyard you walk through to get inside. Once i stepped into the courtyard, I was greeted by the strong odor of urine. I keep going because I'm convinced the 5 stars on yelp mean something. No friendly welcome nor am I invited to pick a seat, nothing. After I sit down, it takes 10 minutes for the waitress to bring me a menu. When I asked for an agua fresca de Limon, she goes back to check if they have it. She comes back to tell me that they do and so I tell her I would like one. Which is what I had initially said! She brings back a cup of lukewarm water with what was probably 3 lemon squeezes. Agua de limon is not water with lemon!! I order the mole de pollo. The mole is bland and the chicken is breast on bone but most of the meat was gone! It was basically a plate of mole on bone ...oh and a glob of uncooked sticky rice. Never again. read more
