Off the Rails is a great little Irish pub with plenty of seating. The large circular booths make it especially good for groups and hanging out with friends without feeling cramped. We ordered the Reuben and a sausage roll, and both came out hot, fresh, and most importantly full of flavor. Everything tasted like it was made with care rather than just thrown together. After dinner we grabbed a couple of their fried pies for dessert, and they were the perfect finish to an already great meal. A big part of what made the visit so enjoyable was our waitress, Heather. She was amazing and incredibly attentive, always making sure our drinks stayed filled and checking in at just the right times without ever feeling intrusive. She was also very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu, which made ordering easy. Thank you, Heather, you were amazing. If you are in the area, give this place a shot. I wanted to love this place, truly did. The food was tasty yet not authentic, not even close. When enjoying Bangers and Mash, I expect to have sausages appropriate to the UK, not Southern style smoked sausage. Archie's Pub in Melbourne, FL or Meg O'Malleys, also in Melbourne us UK sausages and that makes all the difference. When I make this dish at home, I have a U.S. go to source for UK-style sausages: (https://jollyposhfoods.com). My wife, a huge fan of the Shepherd's Pie at the aforementioned Melbourne restaurants was let let-down for reasons similar to my own. The gravy was way too much for her, reminding her of a close cousin of Guinness Stew. Finally, while the food was tasty, (seriously. I ate it all.) It was simply too inauthentic to suit us. We'd gladly have paid the $89 costs, our food plus two pints o' beer for the real thing, but not for a knock-off. read more

It's not your typical Irish Pub that you may think of but the spirit is!! Our first visit last Wednesday was one of curiosity and need for something different. Sure it's a "pub", but they serve pretty good grub!! Jim got the Fish and Chips, I got their ribeye and we each had a couple of draft Harps. All under $100. We did not leave hungry nor disappointed. We enjoyed the Wednesday night entertainment of Bingo, which brought out obvious friends and neighbors who also enjoyed a meal along with dotting their cards!! We didn't hear any typically Irish music - that night. And looking around you wonder why it's even associated with "Irish." But then you start to pull the pieces together and in fact, find a twist of history when you look at all the pictures on the walls. It's a neighborhood go to!! Lovely created and quirky in an Irish-kind-of-way!! We'll be back for other items from their menu and see what other entertainment they stir up! Stopped in at Off the Rails in Havana, not really knowing what to expect. The cool, dark interior was welcome on a warm day. Sat down and immediately was presented with a menu and asked what to drink. The menu had everything I could imagine, appetizers, salads, entrees, desserts, it went on and on. Sorry to say, this restaurant cannot be successful considering the following: We were two of about 6 people in the restaurant on Monday afternoon. Server was pleasant - we asked about the onion rings and if they were enough to share. She said absolutely! We were surprised when our $11 onion rings arrived in a soup bowl and were not made fresh. Fryer temp was way off, so they were few and not great. We ordered and had to replace one item that "had been out since they opened." The $15(!) reuben arrived with about 2 slices of corned beef and it had pickles on it - what? The cole slaw side was absolutely disgusting - like a big blob of mayonnaise and that was all that could be tasted. The fries could have been good, but again, fry temp was off, so they were very, very greasy and couldn't be eaten. Frozen chicken fingers were adequate. Lunch for 2 with just water to drink and a 15% tip was $50. We will never return, as it is quite apparent that they are not even making an effort to serve quality food for that kind of $. We visited this past Friday the 26th of May and they had only been open 2 weeks. Love the outdoor seating as they have a band, down side they allow smoking out there. The service was good, so that is a plus. The food was good, but the prices are way to high. The wife ordered the fish and it's one small piece with a very small amount of fires and it was $25. No where close to being a $25 dish. I had the Off the Rails Burger which comes on a English muffin, but it's not toasted its cold, besides that it was good. We also had two appetizers, onion rings and mozzarella sticks. We will return, but will be extra careful on what we order because of the pricing is to high for what you get. 3 stars because of the value issue and the smoking. read more

If you like corned beef you have to try their Ruben or their Rachel, I love their fries and their soup and stew are amazing. They only have a few servers but they are good. This cozy and comfortable new restaurant in Havana is a great gathering place. There is a big menu, there are all kinds of beer and interesting cocktails, a pretty big menu, and best of all, when we contacted the new owner to see if the Irish pub would like some live Irish music, she was very Interested, and there will probably be a session on a regular basis. I recently visited Off The Rails restaurant in Havana, Fl. The general look of the facility and menu seemed to me to be a good concept. The menu covers a lot of territory. The facility itself is overly large unfortunately and doesn't really serve the format of the restaurant. The furniture and seating choices are many, almost too many. The bar seats around 8 people with an ok choice of draft beers and a cooler full of various bottled beers. I had a couple of draft beers. They could have been colder, but were satisfactory coldness otherwise. One of them had 2 inches of foam. And I decided I would let it sit there for a few minutes until the bar tendress recognized she hadn't served me a full beer. As she never recognized that, I decided to just drink what was there. All of the workers I watched worked hard and seemed to be diligently providing service to the customers. I ordered the Thursday special prime rib, mostly because I saw another couple having it and I saw it was a nice proportion they had. With the Prime rib comes some kind of potato (maybe rice?) and a side salad which came with chives, bacon bits, cheese and sour cream. The salad was a nice size with iceberg lettuce, tomato, lots of croutons and red onions. . Unfortunately the little plastic receptacle the salad dressing came in had no more than 1/2 inch of salad dressing for the entire salad, just enough to cover about ¼ the territory of that salad. I requested two more containers of salad dressing from a passing waitress and she quickly accommodated me. The prime rib was delivered somewhere between medium and medium rare, which was fine. However, the amount of horseradish sauce was like the salad dressing, about 1/2 " in a small plastic receptacle. And was weak as horseradish comes. I requested more of that as well. There was no sour cream delivered with the potato so I requested that as well which was quickly delivered to me. The prime rib was decent enough though not very tender. All in all, the meal rated maybe a C+. The price of the Prime Rib meal was 26.00 or so dollars , a fair price. If you are in Havana and you want to sit at a full service restaurant, this would be the place to go. read more

Off the Rails Pub is a new place, it's a great venue for music with really nice outdoor seating for live music and a fun vibe. I had the Reuben and it was superb. They admit some issues in their early launch but they seem to be motivated to correct those issues and make it happen. It's a fun place, family friendly and has much potential. Good atmosphere, decor, and the food was well prepared for the most part. The service was friendly, but the kitchen was a little slow to get all of our food out to us. We did have a larger group of about 10 people; however, the entrees came to the table at different times (some finished before others got their food) and the kids menu items - likely the easiest items to prepare - were the last to make it to the table. Despite the lack of timeliness, our server was courteous and regularly checked up to see what we needed. Judging from our experience combined with the other reviews, the kitchen hasn't quite dialed in their processes yet and can't adequately keep up with the demands. Waited 40 minutes for food to arrive and there were only 6 other people there. The sandwich arrived and was dry and the patty only covered less than half the bread. Update to my earlier first review some months back Stopped in this weekend with some out of town friends to try again. My wife gave the Rueben another try, and while it wasn't as bad as the first time, for the hefty price it should look like something from Katz or the Carnegie Deli and not Subway as far as portions. One friend ordered onion rings, they were hot but somewhat sparse for the cost. We wanted Scotch eggs, but the sausage hadn't been thawed from the night before, so my wife went with a smoked salmon app- basically a variation on a bagel with lox. Tasty but pricey. Someone else ordered the sausage rolls. Again tasty and not too bad. I went with the soup and half sandwich with the Reuben and mulligan stew Not too bad. But when you add in almost $60 for 7 beers, the bill came out about $120, plus tip, for beer two entrees and two apps. While nice, it will not be a regular stopping point One minor gripe, the girl tending bar was also the only waitress coveting two different rooms. She was busting her butt but they really need more staff. The chef is fairly new, but was a successful local chef ( Covid ended that), and he is coming along nicely. Looking at other reviews and listening to others there, the portions really don't justify the price. read more

We looked forward to Off the Rails opening. We went there last week for the first time with a group of friends. We were disappointed. The place was uncomfortably warm at the table, the doors were open, no AC running and it was hot outside. Servers were nice, as was the decor in the pub. However, food was lacking. My wife ordered the Ruben, I ordered the Shepard pie. The Ruben's meat ratio to the bread and sour kraut was such that the cornbeef was not recognized. The Shepard pie was about the same, 2/3 mashed potatoes 1/3 meat mixture. Drinks were expensive for a pub, $8 for a beer and $12 for a mixed drink. Not sure if we'll try it again. Hope it gets better, Havana needs another to hang out and enjoy food with friends. read more

Visited this place for a quick dinner and was pretty disappointed. Not only is it pretty pricey ($16 for a simple sandwich) but we were just not very impressed with the food. The Cole slaw that came with my fish & chips was absolutely HORRIBLE! Probably the worst slaw I have EVER tasted. Has some kind of oily chemical taste- let's just say that whoever made this knows NOTHING about how to make Cole slow or was using very inferior ingredients. Their 'fries' are big chunky thinks that are mushy and undercooked. And their 'legendary' fish n chips was FAR from legendary. I have had fish n chips in England and Ireland and these are NOT authentic- the batter is all wrong. Basically, they should just dump the whole 'Irish pub' claim altogether and just become a regular restaurant because they just aren't doing 'Irish' very well. We had lunch here with friends Saturday. I didn't pick the restaurant where we were to meet and after reading the reviews I was less than excited to be going. However! There has been a change in the chef and I really enjoyed my Reuben and enjoyed the sidewinder French fries even more, which came as a complete shock to me. I'm of the skinny French frie club and I honestly have no idea why I ordered these but I'm glad they did. So soft and creamy inside! Delicious! The chef said he is working to turn things around and I believe he can do it. I may even entice my two daughter to go up one Saturday with me. Great job chef!!!! read more
