It's not a terribly large bookstore but it has all of the basic categories you'd expect and I'd say they're pretty well-stocked in those categories. The main level has been redone as a coffee shop with ample seating areas, and it was full of customers on a Thursday afternoon working on laptops and meeting with friends. My green tea latte was delicious. The lower level is still a gallery space with a bold mix of artwork for sale. The high-quality Pendleton blankets have moved upstairs along with a vintage clothing room. They have a resident photographer and multiple event spaces available. Why run one small business when you put multiple offerings into one historic building?? I look forward to drinking a beer and listening to live music in the back when the weather warms up.

They have no ventilation or fans or windows in this ancient building so when the temperature was 89 outside, it was 101+ degrees in there! It was absolutely horrific and I'm not sure how the workers could stand it! Avoid coming here when temps are above 80 outside! Love their seasonal items up front and how items are arranged. Love the candles, the interesting scent oils and specially curated books they sell. Prices were rather high though and it's kind of a hodgepodge of things. There is an attached music venue and bar counter where you can buy hard and soft drinks. Bought a bottle of water and soda for $9! Soooo yeah...crazy prices for bottled drinks! The downstairs is an art gallery with local artists' work that you can buy and jewelry and stationery items! I think the shop is also attached on the side to a coffee shop so there are a few armchairs to sit, more books in that room and the only bathroom I noticed. Definitely a cute place to browse and pass time if you're waiting on something/someone!

This HPB location is almost as good as the old Big Half Priced Books on Lane in Columbus (yes, we…read morecall it The Big HPB). Great selection, good sized clearance section, lots of books. Good prices. Lots of books (did I already say that?). Per the usual, I waddled out with arms bursting with my haul. I got a mix of Clearance fiction and some new non fiction. They have cute gift items as well, and the people are friendly. I did sell back a stack on a previous trip, and was not impressed with the buy back prices, but that's pretty much normal for consignment, and it did (temporarily) reduce the book burden in my house, which was the goal. Book burden was replaced during subsequent visit and has been returned to stasis.

Although the books are very expensive, they have a very large selection. If you don't mind a used…read morebook there are many cheaper stores out there. However, this location offers many genres, in store and online. It's nice to be able to order online and pick it up in store or have it shipped. The staff members are friendly and help when asked.
