If you're looking for a place to get a great workout from highly skilled instructors, look no further than offbeat fitness. For years, I felt too intimidated and too out of shape to try boxing classes, but after trying my first class with Lia, was insta-hooked. Offbeat classes are now a core component of my weekly exercise routine; I love that I'm getting a killer workout while also learning a new skill. Their Spin & Circuit training classes are excellent too, and every class has a healthy mix of beginners and seasoned athletes alike. I am a true beginner and have never felt out of place. Did I mention that the price is ridiculously reasonable? A studio of this quality would be 3x the price in Uptown and likely would not have the same friendly, down-to-earth, and downright dope-ass instructors/students that offbeat has. Lia, Mark, Manny, and Antonio are my fav for boxing and I love that they have distinct styles, techniques, and areas that they focus on. I'm due to try Jill's sculpt class or one of the Spin classes. Great place and a gem in the East Dallas community! I recently signed up a few months ago and appreciate the great cleanliness, amazingly friendly staff and variety of challenging courses. The owners are super friendly and made sure I was welcomed and informed me on the different class schedules and packages offered. I even texted a question to the main number thinking I left my glasses and received an immediate response even after hours. The prices are great and super competitive. Amazing value! All instructors are exceptional but my top favs for spin are Latrice and Cristin. They will kick your butt with great jams!! Maria is also great for yoga and love her class and meditation she incorporated throughout. Make sure you're on time and to not miss your class as they will charge about a $10 fee. I'm personally not into socializing at gyms and typically want to come in and go home but appreciate the inclusive environment. Some fitness clubs in Dallas can be super intimidating but Off Beat is super welcoming and they meet all fitness levels! read more

I really can't say enough about Offbeat and if you are reading this you can trust me because I have never been some super athlete and for many years I have expressed my hatred for group exercise classes and work out studios in general. I have always wanted exercise to be a positive experience for me and I have felt like classes at most studios have led to comparison and I don't like the elitist competitive culture at a lot of boutique fitness studios. I really didn't think it was possible, but Offbeat is the antithesis of everything I thought a boxing and cycling studio would be. The instructors are personable, inclusive, and approachable. I walk out of every class feeling energized and uplifted. There is a such a strong sense of community and I really never knew what I could possibly be missing out on. One my goals this year has been to show up for myself even when it gets hard and Offbeat has helped push me towards that both in and out of the studio. Claire's classes are fun and refreshing and exciting and she is so welcoming and encouraging. Latrice is inspiring and has shown me I can do harder things than I think I am capable of! Offbeat is an awesome gym with a fun concept of cycling and boxing classes, as well as muscle toning circuit workouts. There's even yoga on Sundays. Instructors are amazing! My 15 year old son started going here for boxing/cardio workouts a month ago. He has been doing remote learning and really wasn't getting much exercise. He works with Mark and has become much stronger and has really toned up. They adhere to all the CDC guidelines, so I feel safe having him take classes there. I would recommend this place especially if you are currently in a remote learning situation and need your teenager to get some exercise. I am going to check out a spin class next week! read more
