The staff was asked what I was looking for and informed me that could get exactly what I need BY THE END OF SAME DAY! On top of that super responsive! They emailed back and forth several time through out the day and I was able to add TJ the order lasted in the day and still receive the same day as well. In a word, amazing! read more

I'm a give them 1 star for being friendly and helping out when asked but I dropped off a pair of sneakers I was shipping out and they claimed it was picked up but I literally never saw any type of update for my item via usps. Only says label was created. Its about to be a month and now I have to file a claim and pray I get the money back for the item lost. I don't trust them and won't be using this place again. read more

First thing to note: This post office is not a "USPS Approved Postal Provider," as their website and stickers on their storefront claim. I know this because I was recently given a lot of grief by the IRS for submitting my taxes late, and was slammed with a considerable penalty. I had sent my taxes out on tax day (because online submitting glitched every time I tried filing before I gave up and went the paper route), and a worker at Office 11211 assured me that it would be stamped with that day's date and thus I wouldn't have to worry about a late fee. I also paid for first-class tracked shipping to make sure I could keep tabs on my package. As it turns out, my package wasn't sent out until April 25, when it was stamped by the USPS, and the IRS didn't receive it until April 27, so I was hit with a late penalty. When I called Office 11211 to ask about it, the person I spoke to on the phone was extremely unhelpful and said there was nothing she could do to assist me, suggesting I show the IRS my receipt from Office 11211 listing the date as April 16. I then called the USPS, who looked into the case separately. They called me back a few days later saying that in normal circumstances, they would issue an official letter to the IRS taking responsibility and apologizing for the lateness of a shipment, but that when they looked into my case Office 11211 was not registered with them, so there was nothing they could do to help. Bottom line: Don't trust these guys to send your letters or packages in a timely manner, and if you should choose to send stuff with them, don't count on their employees to be helpful or courteous. (The people I've dealt with both in person and over the phone weren't very friendly; I understand that the majority of the customers they're fielding in Williamsburg can be condescending and irritable, as I witnessed some very unpleasant exchanges, but I make it an imperative to be patient and kind with all people working in service-related industries, and I don't feel that I was treated very well by these guys.) Honestly, you're better off dealing with the United States Post Office. I know they can be slow sometimes, but all their workers are unionized, and I've never had these kinds of issues sending stuff through them. read more

Poor customer service. I had the worst experience dealing with Natasha, she was rude, unprofessional and not willing to do her job. I was hoping to get some help from Charlie but he never got back to my emails after a week following up with him. Avoid using this place if you are shipping with Fedex, the combination Fedex + Office 11211 is the worst and your package can get lost. It is ok for everything else if you are ok dealing with rudeness and laziness. read more

Very friendly staff! They offer all kinds of services from USPS drop off to passport photos. I worked with this place probably more than 20 times and it was always fast and easy. Yeah sometimes it can take longer than usual for the line to move but this shows that people likes working with them. I did lots of printing and shipping and never had issues. One time, I remember this guy was complaining about their service because the whole system was jammed and he got mad and left. Its electronics, things can happen! If he would be patient and waited like I did, he would get his prints for free just like I did. Great customer service! Highly recommend using them. read more

I really like to support small businesses in the neighborhood, but I will not be returning to Office 11211. I had my first - and last - visit today. I needed to buy quite a few stamps and walked in asking about prices. I thought it was clear from my interaction with the sales clerk that I hadn't purchased stamps in a long time. I asked her how much they cost, and gasped when she replied "$14 for a book of 20." I said "Oh wow, they've really gone up. I remember when they were much less," and made a few comments/questions in disbelief, e.g. "they're so expensive nowadays". She didn't chime in that their prices are different than the post office or clarify, but watched me - dumbfounded - buy them, begrudgingly. I also bought international stamps as well. Little did I realize that the actual market price of forever stamps is still $0.55 and this store has marked them up to $.70 each (similar price hike for the international ones too). Maybe under other circumstances, I wouldn't have minded (I get it - they need to make money and people will pay for convenience), but that price difference really adds up when you need to buy a lot of them!! Upon exiting the store, I googled the cost in disbelief and turned right around to try to return them. It hadn't been but more than 30 seconds. I approached the staff in a polite and friendly way, but the woman at the counter was cold and rude insisting there was nothing she could do. I can understand that there are policies in place to prevent returns, but the way that this was communicated was curt, dismissive, and condescending. Allegedly this woman was the manager, as well. When I said that I would've appreciated some transparency up front, she just quipped back at me that I hadn't said the word "today" when asking "how much is the price of stamps?". Mincing words. A simple apology for the confusion would have sufficed. The lack of transparency and unhelpful responses to my questions coupled with the bad attitude has turned me off completely. I won't be going back. I almost never write critical reviews, but I really think that it takes so little to be polite and helpful to others, especially when they're being polite to you. I would recommend this place for shipping but do NOT go here for printing. I was told the cost to print was per page so I printed double sided. They still charge the full amount whether you print single or double sided. In the end, I was charged over $30 of black and white pages and when I saw them they did not fit to the page. When I showed it to them they said it was a setting I was supposed to pick. Why wouldn't the default setting at a printing place be "Fit to Page"?! I told them I couldn't use the print outs and I couldn't spend another $30+ on printing. They just shrugged it off and didn't offer to fix. DO NOT PRINT HERE! read more

I simply asked a question and she bite my head off saying they weren't responsible for such and such, basically tried to make me feel like an idiot and I was like okay I was just asking and she, no lie, HUNG UP on me!! The tall very rude woman working there has the worst customer service skilIs I ever came across. I deal with the public everyday and would never treat someone like that I tried to explain my situation and she just talked over me and said my package wasn't there from the get go. Came in yesterday, they made a mistake with charging me something and wanted me to pay again, without processing me a refund for the initial payment. It took me over two hours to get that refund, but my bank has claimed there was never a refund to begin with. I spoke to the owner over the phone who laughed, called me a dirty POS and another racial slur. I'm shocked. This place is not safe for PoC. I just can't believe we allow such a location to exist in our city. Update to my fellow patriots- I've spoken to someone in the local news about this. They will be releasing an in-depth clip related to the incident, there's also a growing movement on NYC POC FB groups fo blacklist this business and schedule protests over the next few weeks. I just experienced the worst customer service in my life. I was looking to send a package via FedEx overnight. I was willing to pay $135. I had the nastiest associate named Natasha. Her entire demeanor was disgusting and was unwilling to help in any way. While I was reading the address off the FedEx person apparently left. As I was handing her the payment she said that overnight was now 2 days later. I asked if she could ask the person to come back, or for me to even run out and hand it to him. With her attitude she said that I'm not his boss and neither is she. I can't understand how someone like this can be employed, anywhere. read more

I am here right now. This place has so many RULES!! I have been told NO by such an expensive business. Usually when a business wants repeat customers they are yes people. My sister works for USPS and I know for a fact that priority and express mail CAN be processed with a returned priority label. Found out after a few conversations that they don't actually HAVE the labels. Maybe say we don't carry those instead of we don't do that. Makes it sound like you just can't do anything..... Any previous bad reviews of this place seems like the individual's problem looking to take it out on someone else. Don't get passport photos taken here! Your better off taking them yourself. The photo was blurry with a shadow behind me. I was charged for a printed version $16, then when I said I needed a digital version not printouts they charged an extra $5. So I paid $21 for a photo that won't get accepted. Pros: I've come here for papers and things like a delicate lens-- they always pack like pros, answer all my silly questions nicely, email me about shipping status, and have everything I need. The little markup is well worth total peace of mind. Cons: I try to avoid printing here. The systems are slow and confusing (you pay by time) and it's really easy for the printer to print it wrong, which you still have to pay for. If you must print, do it when the store isn't busy. The guy at the printer station is super nice and helpful when there aren't 20 people yelling at him at the same time. read more

Staff can be rude, hit and miss, but that seems to be consistent with service at many places in that area. As you can see from some of the reviews, it seems like 1 or 2 staff are the focus of most of the complaints. I think the others are fine, at least from my experience. It's also pretty overpriced. That said, it is very convenient and offers most shipping options and goods you will need. There is also a copying machine and laptops to print (though, again, way overpriced). USPS and UPS are cheaper. The latter is across the street and the service is better for the most part. The former is a 20-30 min walk away though and is straight from hell, actually much worse than Office 11211 besides being cheaper. read more

Worst service I've ever experienced. Was about to buy 5 large boxes + 3 large bags of packing material + 2 large bags of bubble wrap. After compiling everything, I asked for a plastic shipping g sleeve for each of the boxes I bought (which are free) and they were not willing to give me more than 2 -- even though these sleeves are free from Fedex! Really bad service. We have an office of 8 people nearby and they just lost our business. As repose to the stores response: I went to Sandbox, the nearby shipping supplies store on Grand, and they gave me 8 Fedex slips without any issues. It seems that your employees are just not very nice. You lost our business. read more

Some of the staff can be on the rude side from my recent experience. But it could possibly be a bad sense of humor they have. Maybe they dont mean any offense but I can see how people can take it negatively. The staff kind of always been like this even when they were located between 6th and 7th. All I can say is take your business elsewhere if it bothers you enough. Then you'll just be stuck with the UPS store. Good luck with the second option. read more
