I needed labels to send out Christmas cards and went to the Office Depot in Arlington Heights to refill my supply. I was able to find what I needed pretty easily. Good signage helps out!!!!! The labels were a little more expensive than I wanted to pay but was willing to pay for the convenience. I was able to checkout and get on my way. I recommend Office Depot! read more

I'm bummed to leave a poor review because, for the most part, I've been happy-ish w service from this Office Depot. I regularly need services from the printing department and rarely have any issue. Recently I printed bulk cards. On the website, I guess I should have deleted SAMPLE from the back. When I asked for remedy at the store (reprint, refund, etc), I was quickly shut down. Yes, I did admit it was my fault but also blame them. I know they proof submissions because they've asked questions w specificity on previous orders. Did OD really think I wanted SAMPLE across the back of my cards?! The dismissiveness is what bothered me most. I will take my printing needs elsewhere. read more

This has been my go to store for most of my home office needs, from a desk, filing cabinet, printer needs and other misc. items. I went to the store on Wed (Oct. 16th) to specifically purchase a new office chair. My budget was upward to $500.00. Really wanted a decent chair. I walked in and immediately started checking out chairs from the front displays to the rear chair collection. During my search, at least two employees saw me (literally walking within 5ft of me) testing chairs but ignored my existence. With this lack of attention, not even an acknowledgement of "looking for office chair, I'll be right with you", I walked out. I was confused with the lack of attention and tried to give them the benefit of doubt. But really disturbed me was the thought that their dismissiveness was due to my age. Yes, age discrimination (69yrs). The is the first time I ever felt this way. I just couldn't come up with a better reason for the staff ignoring me. This interaction or lack there of has left a bad taste in my mouth and the conclusion to never shop in this store again. This was a missed firm opportunity for a sale and/or future sales. read more

Excellent customer service great selection good prices on sale items, Clarence items, open box items they've answered all our questions as we had many and although from the outside it might not seem like a top notch Office Depot but there just under construction it's business as usual inside and I'd recommend to any yelper out there.. They have more then Office Depot did five years ago they've broaden their horizons as far as inventory across-the-board it's more like a Best Buy now read more

If you buy a calender in Dec, for 1 year, you expect the calender to have the month of may in it. Well i tried to go in and tell them that May was missing. Joel was analyzing the calender and said I tore may out of the calender. If I tore it out, then there would have been the paper remnants in the binding. After I showed him, he changed his tune, said I could EXCHANGE the calender, if I produced a receipt from last December. #1 I already wrote reminders on the days for March & April. #2 why would you save a receipt from Dec, 4, 5 months ago. Joel was very UN-sympathetic, giving unrealistic solutions. I got more upset, Joel walked away and told me if I didn't get out of the store, he would call the police. I would like to meet the Office Depot university personnel that trained Joel. read more

don't bother shopping here. there's a reason brick and mortar stores are disappearing. place online order pickup, got confirmation order was ready for pick up only to get to the store to find out they don't have stock. also didn't know how to cancel the order to avoid my trip. I arrived at the store, spent 10 min looking for my order. I commented, jokingly, it would have been faster to pick it up and buy in store, which received a comment for the sales person that my comment was unnecessary. maybe an apology for my inconvenience or your incompetence. No wonder no one wants the in store shopping experience anymore. get your online stock updated or figure out how to process your online orders. if you can't fix those, then fix your customer service! read more

Curbside pickup should be renamed to curbside limbo or curbside purgatory. I did everything I was told to do to notify that I had arrived. After waiting 15 minutes I finally went in and asked if they had my order. The guy who did the curbside looked like he was literally woke up. And it wasn't like they were busy - I was the only one in the store! I did curbside pickup because I am older and carrying 10 ream boxes of paper gets kind of heavy. read more

Want to give a positive shoutout to Isabella, Tracy, Tim and Chris in the print center for the help they gave us last month on a print project. It was more complicated than we thought, but this group handled it professionally, courteously, respectively and timely. There were a lot of moving parts in the project including, vellum, flash drive, templates, pictures, copying, trimming, and card stock. We needed over 200 prints. There were a couple of moments of concern but they never wavered in their commitment to get the project done within our timeframe. They even reached out to someone who was not on duty to get some questions answered. The project came out great and we have received a number of positive comments back on the final copy. I've been here many times, the last time being earlier this evening and with that thought fresh in my mind, I write this review. Price-wise, this is on a par with other office supply stores. Some do better than others with certain products - if you buy a lot of specific items, I would suggest doing some comparative shopping to determine what place offers the best deals. Generally, I've found the staff here to be helpful and the woman at the register tonight was especially nice and of good assistance. I did have one episode about two years ago when an employee gave me some poor advice on their cartridge recycling program. But other than that, this place is OK. read more

I took my computer to fix a problem and the only thing they did was insist on buying them a very expensive antivirus, since otherwise they could not check it since my computer was full of viruses, when my laptop already had an antivirus. I took it somewhere else and they fixed it. read more

If I were you, I would go to another location. Specifically their printing department. No one seems to know what is going on and the customer service is terrible. I do a lot of ordering online and when I go to pick it up from there, they never know where it is. And when they are supposed to call me to come and pick it up, they never do. I know I'm just one little customer, but I expect more from a huge company like this. I am going to do my best to never return. They apparently don't need my business. read more

Would try and get blueprints printed at this location since it is near me. Out of 20 times I emailed blueprints for printing, at least 10 times, perhaps more, there were issues. The supposed print center manager is an absolute joke. The store manager Chad is nice but has to spend most of his time apologizing for his staffs constant mistakes. I will NEVER go back to this store. I had 1/2 hour to find boxes that were online but apparently weren't stocked in the store. An associate was helping me order the boxes online when (in the middle of my transaction) another associate asked him to answer the phone. I purchased an item online for in-store pick up. After receiving the confirmation email that the item was ready for pick-up, I headed over to the store. Everything was great and working at expected. Upon arriving at the store, there were few customers inside and I began to wait at the pick up counter. Here's where the experience went downhill. After 5 minutes of waiting while the customer in front of me searched on her phone and the employee watched her, I still hadn't even been acknowledged. Another 10 minutes goes by, still nothing. The phone started ringing and the employee answered 2 calls and assisted the customer on the phone and still not acknowledging that I was waiting for something. All he had to say was, I'll be right with you. Another 10 minutes goes by, the employee finally calls for someone to come up to the counter because they have a line. It took at least 10 MORE minutes for the back-up cashier to arrive. I finally was able to give them my information and they were a little confused by my order. The new employee disappeared for at least 5 more minutes before they came back to ask what was the item I was picking up. "Oh yeah. I did see that back there. I'll be right back with that." I appreciated the person who finally helped me, but this process took forever. I can't say that I would ever go to this location again as the employees could barely acknowledge that I had been waiting for almost 40 minutes before being able to pick up the item I already purchased. read more
