He tried to use old techniques to transfer all data from my old computer to my new one. Chris left everything half-way done. He told me he had to leave and said I should be able to figure out the rest. We agreed to a price before he started including transferring all data from old to new computer and get the new one completely functional. In addition, I needed a program restored in my old computer which was part of his price and he told me he could do it. He did not complete/ finish the the data transfer on the new computer and did not fix/ reinstall the program on the old one. I asked what formal training he had with computers and he told me he was "self-taught" and previously was working at Walmart. I completely regret asking him to do any of the work on my over $2,000 custom built HP laptop. BEWARE...he comes off as a nice guy and means well however, if you have ever had a really good legitimate electronics/ computer repair business work on your computer, the difference is STARK. I will never use an individual with NO physical business/ store front ever again. Advice, pay up and have the job done right! Chris seems like he means well but don't let him near a valuable high end computer, Apparently he has only fixed minor problems and he makes these types of customers happy who require (minor) repairs. I am pissed I wasted my money and time on him. Just because he works out of his car and he is mobile don't let that appeal to you. DRIVE TO A BRICK AND MORTAR STORE!
