First of all this is the absolute worst Office Depot location that I've had the inconvience of walking into. I did not encounter a singular nice person in this location. I would give it negative stars if I could. They are a licensed fedex ship location, however, even during their operating hours, they will not accept packages. Nhan the store manager is extremely unprofessional and I cannot believe that anyone would give him a leadership position. The staff is a complete reflection of him. From the moment I stepped into the store, everyone was upset. I kindly asked this one associate to bring someone who can take my packager ( I approached this with a smile and said please), and she responded back with attitude and a hell of a look. I don't know what's going on in the store, but someone has got to train these employees common decency and customer service. They are rude, entitled and absolutely a mess to deal with. I had to run in and grab a print pickup for a friend, and Mike provided wonderful customer service -- and had really cool socks! He greeted me as soon as I walked in (I'm sure I looked a little lost), and immediately helped me out. This is actually the biggest Office Depot I've ever been to! My print wasn't in the usual pickup area, but Mike made sure to track it down and even took the time to securely wrap the poster so it wouldn't get damaged in my car. I am waiting regarding Ashley at the Los Gatos store. Today we attempted to get TSA PreCheck completed . My husband completed his with some hiccups in the system and Ashley figured it out with a call to TSA. I was next and the system was not cooperating. It kept freezing. Ashley offered to call me if the system comes back up. She did call me and I drove over and the system worked perfectly. Ashley appeared to be a floor or shift manager as she was managing calls from staff repeatedly, and was always pleasant with me, other customers and fellow staff. She is a star. Don't know if all office depots are like this but this store in Los Gatos in particular don't seem to have any order. I brought a box of confidential documents to be shredded yesterday. The employee took the box into the back where I could not see what he was doing. Presumably he dumped them into some kind of bin. He brought back my empty box and charged me. Office Depot needs to rethink this. There was plenty of time for the employee to open my box and photograph my documents. Plus I was not able to verify that my documents were safely secured. The bin or whatever they put documents to be shredded in needs to be visible to customers. I'll be going elsewhere in the future to shred my documents. read more

I dropped off a package to Office Depot to be picked up by FedEx a few weeks back and they lost it. I was given a receipt of drop off by a Office Depot employee and after a few days FedEx says they never got it and the tracking number is dead. I requested a insurance claim with FedEx and they denied it since they said they never scanned or received the package from Office Depot. I went back into the store and they basically told me that there is nothing I can do. I am out of a $500 tool and all they can say is sorry. What is the point of being a FedEx pickup point with a drop off receipt.... it means nothing. Do not drop off your FedEx packages here, they cannot be trusted and you'll be out of your money with or without insurance. I visited this location earlier this week, Monday I believe. I had visited an Office Max in Cambrian nearer my house to buy a printer for work. However, that location was out of stock of the model I desired. The staff member who assisted me, checked this Los Gatos Office Depot. They had one left and put it on hold for me. This was a nice store and the clerk at the register had my printer ready for me and retrieved ink for me as well. Staff at both stores were helpful and made sure I acquired what I was in need of. The printer works wonderfully so far and was a decent value. The ink on the other hand was nearly as costly as the printer. The cost of ink is just ridiculous! read more

My HP printer was on the fritz and the guy on the HP customer service line told me that my printer was obsolete, even though I was still able to print from my iPhone. I had printed from my MacBook Pro just a few days ago and suddenly, nothing... I went into this store and spoke with a few great salespeople and one of them recommended that I download an older driver to match my OS. I did that and my printer is printing again!!! I don't remember being so disrespected by a retail clerk in my lifetime. He had absolutely no interest in helping me with a simple request (to buy an expensive desk chair). This Gen Z person was so bored and disinterested it was painful. And he gave me misinformation... that the item was stuck in a warehouse somewhere and who knows when it might ship. I asked him how since it's not applicable to any computers or any high-priced items what could he be talking about possibly apparently he was talking about paper so if you have plans to buy thousands of dollars worth of paper you might use their coupon but do not load their app. All they want to do is track you. secondarily the store was so empty of needed products it's kind of a joke there are more employees than customers so you do the math.
