Came here to buy a printer for my son for college. i was planned to buy the Brothers Laser printer for $69 on sale from $150 but thank goodness I didn;''t becasue there was a nice intellegent sale person there told me that the ink replacement cartridge cost $124! that is crazy! so Brother tries to sucker you in with low price printer. He recommended the epson all in one printer on sale for $59...reg.$99 and it has over 1200 review with 41/2 stars and the replacement ink is much cheaper . I brought the insurance plan for $12 guaantee for 2 years so i am worry free. so happy for the help. btw, store is also nice and clean.. read more

The print and copy center there is the best around! I went to Fed Ex Kinkos and they quoted me $198 and 24 hour turn around time for the job I wanted. I went to Office Depot and paid $62 and the job was done in less than 10 minutes! Maritza took really good care of me! I will always go there for all my print and copy needs! read more

These stores seriously need to go out of business. I'm always at a loss as to how they survive. I'm not sure who runs them or who owns them but it's extremely clear that their CEO is just relaxing taking a pay check and doing if nothing to improve the customer experience in these stores. This Office Depot is worthless. I came here four different times to get something printed for a school assignment, and not once were they able to help me. The first time they did not have the right size paper in stock. The second time they were able to print it but all of the fonts were changed which led to me getting a worse grade on my assignment. And the last two times the person working did not even know how to use the equipment to print my file to the size I needed. I have wasted so much time coming here and I will never be coming back. read more

So, we went in to Office Depot today. Looking for an AC Adapter for my husband's lap top. Since I'm a serious customer service person, I look beyond what should be expected in service to the public. We were greeted nicely one of the young ladies looked as if she'd just rolled out of bed. The other young lady who assisted us was pleasant but not very knowledgeable about what we needed. When I asked if the other Office Depot would have the item. She informed us that she wasn't sure, as they are not able to access the other stores inventory. OK, but to go beyond so that the customer has a great experience! how about a phone call? Or, how about seeing if you can order it for the customer with a in store pick-up? You see when we have people working for us, it should show that "this is, not just a pay check" job. But one that says " I will do my best to serve and assist". So maybe Office Depot Headquarters need to invest a little more in Customer Service. Thank you for the space to share. read more

This is one of the worst run Dept stores I've experienced. Management doesn't seem to give a rat butt (seem mostly annoyed when have to help), I've had to return several items 'cause they don't know the products. The item I was purchasing was approximately $5 so I ordered 2 knowing that I'd be paying shipping for the product. I selected the slowest shipping for $5.95 since I did not want to pay more for the shipping than the actual product and it was not a rush. A few days after the purchase (saturday) I got an email letting me know that the item was on backorder and I would be notified when it became available. The following day (sunday), I got another email letting me know that the item was back in stock and would be delivered to my office that Friday which was 5 business days later. The problem was that I was now being charged for the rush shipping of $9.95. So, not only was the item delivered a week after I placed the original order, but I was being charged for RUSH shipping which cost more than the actual items. I called and complained and they agreed to refund the rush shipping but I asked to speak to a supervisor since I felt this was a very unethical transaction. When I asked for a supervisor the representative, argued with me telling me that the supervisor would tell me the same thing and it was going to be a waste of my time. I am terribly disappointed with the customer service from Office Depot and will be taking my law firm and personal business elsewhere. For the system to automatically assign rush shipping to an order I did not request Rush status for is bad business. I wonder how many customers this happens to weekly and how much money Office Depot is making by upcharging the shipping for items such as mine. As a customer I am deeply dissatisfied with this fraudulent action. I have the option of ordering from Amazon and chose not to on this occasion, but now I see that was a mistake. read more

I have to come here occasionally for some small things so I would rate all my visits in general. Some employees are very helpful and knowledgeable, but some are really out of this world and need some training in what they sell! When I had a question about a home phone and features the employee started to read all labels on all phones trying to help me! I bought software from this Office Depot and the software did not do what it says that it does. So I went back to the Office Depot within 24 hours and tried to get my money back. The assistant manager, Gabby, basically said that it is Office Depots policy to never accept returns on software and that I am supposed to contact the software company. Well, the software company states on its site that returns are up to the retailer to accept returns. Office Depot's policy is ridiculous and I am done with Office Depot. I am now doing all my office shopping at Staples read more

I don't shop here a lot because Staples is closer to my home and I like the Staples store layout better, but I will say that Office Depot's prices on laptops are excellent. Staples won't even match them. There's typically a sale, and we've bought several here over the years. read more

It sounds to me that all of you who wrote reviews are obviously customers who expect royal treatment by throwing a fit. They have really good deals there and everyone is very friendly. "Store policy" states software will not be refunded once open, that policy goes for every other retailer ,not just OFFICE DEPOT. You Should ASK about the return policy on any technology before ANY purchase at ANY store ! Also, the staff there are human beings just like you, I've been shopping there for a long time. bad service from cashier to manager. They don't care about their job. When I asked why the price is different from the label I saw, the cashier asked for another cashier who asked for the manager. Then the manager said they had this promotion but when I said the price on the register is higher, then he said they have different promotions, finally I pointed at one of the labels he was holding and said I wanted that promotion. I ended up spending over 15 minutes to buy a box of paper! Not so much I don't want to waste my time, but the lack of spirit and knowledge makes me angry. read more

Very deceptive practice! I ordered furniture and the sales person gave me a price list for assembly. According to the price list, the assembly should have been $125, but when I called to make the appointment for assembly the price was $240 (almost twice the price quoted). Unacceptable! read more

They are so close to us, I just walk! Well I needed to make two copies both black & white, it was a very easy and simple task....did the same thing last year! When I came to do it last year, the customer service person was so very nice, it took less than 5 minutes to do and it costed me a grand total of $.30 cents! Yesterday when I walked in, I had to wait a little while, I felt as if they didn't care, there was a guy ahead of me that being helped, the customer service guy was working on his order, but, just didn't seem to care! There was another woman at the counter, and she was very rude.....finally the guy asked me what I needed, I said I only need two copies, both in black and white, he then said it would cost over $2! I'm like WHAT?? I then told him I had the same thing done last year for the $.30 cents and the woman came back to me and rudely remarked, "that was LAST year, this is this year"!! I thought that was such very poor customer service, and they need to work on their attitude!!!! read more

Pasadena Store looks Dirty and empty Copy Center and checkout stands suck very slow and not helpful at all. Managers look lost and are Rude the Office Max down the street gives better service and store looks clean and full. read more

The inability of the store staff to communicate in even the most rudimentary manner caused harm to my business. I was given wrong information in regards to placing an online order, when it would be ready, and even when I went there in person, spoke to the manager and complained, I was once again given the wrong information. how this office depot has any stars at all is beyond me. came here to get 3 large drawings plotted and it took an hour. the poor print center employee is very nice but clearly does not know how to use any of the equipments. don't they train them??!!! while i was waiting another customer came to pick up his poster for the third time. it was a simple foam core mounting job (spray adhesive on back of poster then sticking it to a piece of foam core carefully without making air bubbles or creases) and the poster had multiple air bubbles in it and the foam core was bent... the guy asked the staff to cut off the exposed foam core around the poster and the reply was they can't do it in house they have to outsource that. i almost offered the guy to do the mounting and cutting for him to save him some headache. anyways after an hour of waiting and screwing up my plot twice, i finally got my prints. and the poor clueless girl tried to charge me $80 for my prints! i blew up and told her i had printed the same drawings in the morning at a different office depot for $9 and she admitted to charging me for the wrong thing. it's clear they don't know what they're doing and received no training prior to starting work. if you need anything printed or mounted, stay clear of this place! read more

STAY AWAY from this place. different employee would give me different quotes for printing a poster, even though, my admin already got a quote earlier over the phone. Apparently, there is an employee named Mike, who I apparently took offense to me (perhaps, it was because he had quoted me a price of $200 for a poster when the original quote obtained from my admin was around $69). It was an important poster for a conference, so I called that night to try to get some details right for the poster. I had to call many times because he picked up the phone everytime I called and put me on hold. In the AM when I went to pick up the poster, he pranced in front of me displaying his name tag just to let me know he was the a--hole the previous night. It turned out they got the dimension of the poster wrong, it was smaller than I had specified. It's is too bad that such a jerk work here and that they are pretty clueless in general, since my company building is just down the street and it would have been a convenient place to print posters. read more
