Cheerful counter service. Wide selection of fish for poke bowls and they offer samples! The fish tastes fresh and the sweet cucumber is tasty. I highly recommend the butter mochi as a sweet treat. A great place for a Hawaiian fix!

Food still tasty, service still friendly. They have "nachos" on their menu which are apparently fried wontons, not corn chips, and not gluten-free. They still don't offer water unless bottled, so if you have pills to take with food, heads up on that. You can get various poke's by the lb to go so that's fun if you are having a party or big family meal at home.

When we heard that there was a new poke place in town, my wife and I knew we had to try it. We tried the Spicy Aioli, the Shoyu Limu (both tuna), and the Hawaiian Tako (octopus). Admittedly, the bowls felt a bit expensive, but we could taste the quality of the fish, and the portion sizes were healthy. We definitely didn't feel like we were ripped off. Upon entering, we were greeted warmly by the staff, and they kindly explained their offerings and gave excellent recommendations. We'll be back!

I came here after seeing they opened a location in Eugene and recognizing them from Portland. I got 1/4 pound of the spicy avo poke and a spam musubi. Both came out to 13$. The poke was very soft and had a great flavor. Not too spicy. I wasn't sure where the avocado was though, maybe in the sauce. Employees were very nice and welcoming. Some tables inside. Desserts looked really good I didn't get any though. Overall this is definitely a high quality poke spot that is pricy but worth it if you really like poke. This is definitely the best you can get around Eugene.

Ok I love poke and this place.... Yum!! Such a good selection and so glad a coworker from Hawaii told me about this place. I am always craving a good poke bowl and I found it at OG Poke. It was so good and so fresh! I appreciate the amazing service and they let you sample the poke. If you love poke don't walk run to OG Poke. The digs not much but if you don't care about atmosphere and more about good food! You've found your place! I can't wait to go back! Thank you for opening a spot in Eugene!

Run don't walk to OG POKE IN EUGENE oh my goodness this is the freshest fish and so tasty! They also have musubi and other treats. I got the Kimchee mussels, Spicy Aioli Poke, and a bowl with rice and Spicy Avo Furi with sweet cucumbers

The BEST poke in Eugene!! (I know. I've tried the others) I came in for their soft opening and was greeted by the friendliest staff and owner. They took the time to chat with me and talk about their poke. I ordered their large bowl with Teri ginger, spicy avo furi, and the spicy aioli with the pickled cucumber and spicy crab and broccoli salad as my sides. ZERO COMPLAINTS. The poke is so flavorful and melt in your mouth tender! Also, don't judge the presentation, I only remembered to snap a picture of my food after I took a couple bites. Oops! It's really that good!!

Aloha my braddah's . Loved talking story with you guys before our 3 year road trip across the rest of the 45 states. Poke bowl- picked the following 3 poke types. The Shoyu Limu was my son's absolute favorite. The simplicity of this one was perfect. The fish couldn't have been anymore fresh unless we were back home in HI. Only thing he wished that was with this one was raw onions but that's his preference. The Hawaiian was so Ono and the siracha aioli was super spicy but so good. He gave it a 9/10 (10/10 is only in HI lol). The sweet cucumbers & seaweed salad was delicious . I loved it and so did my son (who doesn't like veggies). Japanese Pot Roast with Curry plate - the pork is so tender it just falls apart in my mouth. The curry was there and no overwhelming. Mac salad I know the butter mochi and POG cheesecake will be winnah! And the Hawaiian Sun juices completes the meals. The service was fantastic . The staff made me feel as if I was back home ordering food from there. The ALOHA spirit in this place reaches all the way home and back! Ambiance - nice clean place. Easy to figure out what the options are (too may good things to choose from). I the paint story about the original sign. But that's us Hawaiian. Nothing goes to waste! Overall my son is mad that we didn't get to eat here sooner or a few more times before we leave but we will promote the hell out of this place that's for sure! Mahalo & take care

Menehune bowl with side chicken long rice and chocolate chantilly cake. 10 out of 10 recommend!

This place is legit! Everything we tried was 'ono (delicious). The poke is fresh, the plate lunch specials are good and don't forget to grab a dessert option from Cookies & Goodies! We had the chantilly cake and it's just like home. We're kanaka from Maui and we recommend! I have to say that we tried it when it first opened and was not impressed. The service and quality of the food has definitely improved! Go check them out! We were pleasantly surprised! Maika'i loa!

Hands down best Poke I've ever had outside of Hawaii!! Couldn't wait to get home to try it! It totally exceeded any expectations I had. The ahi was so fresh and really well seasoned. The Krab salad was so yummy. Me and my boyfriend are so excited to be in the vicinity of such an amazing authentic Poke place! Also everybody working was so kind ((:

The prices for their items at Subo are high compared to what you get, but what makes Subo worth trying is the fresh quality of their fish. I ordered a half rice/half salad classic #7 bowl with fresh salmon, jalapenos, cucumbers, fried wonton, cream cheese, green onion, field greens, and cajun sauce. The purple rice was a nice addition and cooked well, and the cajun dressing for the bowl balanced surprisingly well with everything else. The restaurant itself is small with low ceilings and few tables; it holds some charm but probably feels claustrophobic quickly if there's a crowd. There is soy sauce, 'wasabi,' and pickled ginger in the back of the shop for you to add to your bowl to your taste. Overall, the fish is fresh, but for the price would not come here regularly. You can get a variety of more substantial toppings and customizations for a lower price and same fish quality in a different city. The $32 for 2 bowls and app deal is nice, but doesn't include any vegetarian bowl options.

I just ate at Tiger Mama in the Whit for the first time, and it was amazing…read more Tiger Mama has that Korean pocha feel, where the food, drinks, and atmosphere all belong together. I stopped in for a drink while my to go order was being made and had a Tiger Bomb, a beer with a shot of soju mixed in. The drink was great, and the service was incredibly hospitable. Even though I was just waiting on a to go order, they offered me complimentary banchan, little bites of cabbage, carrots, and cucumber, to snack on while I drank and waited. That was much more hospitality than I expected from simply picking up food. The prices are very reasonable for what you get. The portions are generous, everything tasted fresh, and the food felt genuinely high quality. The Korean fried chicken is really, really good. I got the Volcano sauce, and it is legitimately hot. Not restaurant spicy. Actually spicy. I eat the spiciest of the spicy food, and this was a good 8 out of 10 for me, which is probably a 15 out of 10 for most people. It has serious heat, but plenty of flavor underneath it. The dry rub chicken balanced it perfectly, with a tangy, acidic, savory flavor that cut through the richness and paired really well with the Volcano sauce. Crispy chicken, acid, spice, and a cold beer is a pretty hard combination to beat. I also got the kimbap with spicy pork, and that was amazing too. The rice and fillings tasted really fresh, the pork had a great savory sweetness and heat, and the vegetables added freshness and texture. Every bite had a little bit of everything. Between the food, Tiger Bomb, complimentary banchan, and service, I was already thinking I had found a new place I really liked. Then I got home. The only real downside was unfortunately the tteokbokki, which is ironic because that was the entire reason I found Tiger Mama. It was literally the term I typed into Yelp that led me there. And this is where the review gets complicated. Flavor wise, it was amazing. The sauce was sweet, tangy, savory, and a little spicy, with that deep gochujang flavor you want from tteokbokki. The fish cakes were tender, plentiful, and full of flavor. There were glass noodles, mandu, and half a hard boiled egg, giving it a lot of different textures. It felt like a more elaborate, modern take on the classic Korean dish. The rice cakes themselves were fantastic. Great size, wonderfully tender and chewy, and soaked in that delicious sauce. Honestly, the tteok I did receive might be the best I have had while dining out. My problem was that I received three of them. Three individual rice cakes. In an $18 order of tteokbokki. That was genuinely disappointing. Tteokbokki was why I came here. It was what I searched for and what drew me in. The menu picture showed plentiful, delicious little rice pillows sitting in sauce, which was exactly what I had been craving. Instead, I got a large serving of glass noodles, fish cakes, mandu, sauce, egg, and three rice cakes in a dish named after the rice cakes. If this had been the only thing I ordered, I could easily see myself leaving a sour one star review and never going back. But that would not represent the experience I had. Everything else was too good. As someone who loves Korean cuisine, both cooking it at home and eating it out, I can tell there is a lot of care put into this food. Even the tteokbokki was excellent in every respect except the rice cake quantity. The sauce was perfect, the fish cakes were great, the mandu was a nice surprise, and the sweet, spicy, tangy, savory flavors worked ridiculously well together. It also pairs really well with a beer. Or six. Unfortunately, I live too far away to have noticed until I got home, and they were already closed. I'll call tomorrow, and based on the service I received, I'm confident they'll make it right. Three rice cakes for $18 was genuinely disappointing, but I'm not going to let what seems like one portioning mistake outweigh an otherwise excellent experience. The food, atmosphere, hospitality, and care put into everything were too good. Tiger Mama is a great addition to the Whit, and I'll absolutely be back. Especially for more tteokbokki. Hopefully next time, more than three.

But we had a meal here where multiple dishes were not well prepared and it seems like something is going amiss with this otherwise great place... It doesn't make sense to serve pajeon (crispy pancake) on a sizzling metal platter. Yes, it's always exciting when a sizzling thing is dropped onto the table, but it char-burned the bottom of the pancake! It was fully black on one side and not edible. I had to ask them to bring a normal plate to pull it off the sizzle platter and save as much of the pancake as we could... but it was too late. To the server's credit, he comped the pancake. The servers are always very nice and fast here. This is the kind of choice that's style over substance, going for presentation that looks flashy but lacks common sense...
