(Update: 08/03/18): Still manages to keep their five stars. I just have to mention that the garlic fried chicken is intoxicating. A sweet, garlicky, fried plate of goodness that left me debating if I should order more. Still can't beat the price too and for how much (and delicious) the food is. The best Hawaiian food hands-down with friendly staff/owners. A simple food truck hides some tasty treats like saimin, lomi-lomi salmon, pork lau lau, poke, and the like. Served with a small and tasty bit of chocolate mochi - usually a spongy Japanese rice cake pounded to soft oblivion - everything is served in generous portions. All not disappointing and easily destroying other so-called Hawaiian restaurants in the area. A simple white board and Facebook post shows the menu; a daily-rotating display of island delicacies. If you can hunt them down, then you'll find yourself with some truly authentic and tasty Hawaiian food. There is a small seating area with a heat lamp if necessary, but all good is boxed to-go. Be sure to try the chili water with your food. A tangy and spicy condiment served everywhere on the islands of Hawaii that goes well with almost everything.

The food here is delicious! I got the beef teriyaki and the chicken katsu (on special). They were cooking the katsu fresh, so I had to wait about 5-10 minutes, and it was well worth it! It was crispy and delicious! The beef teriyaki was amazing, too--a really great blend of sweet and salty. A lot of Hawaaiian places can go too much into the sweet, which I don't like as much, so I really appreciated how well-balanced the beef was. Another thing to mention is that the staff was incredibly kind, offering suggestions and working with me to create a plate that had everything I wanted. I really appreciated them and will make it a point to visit this food truck more often!

After a long wait of making myself go over to the campus area... especially for Every Day Kine Grindz, my son & I trekked from the westside over to give it a go. Parking could be a pain and might have to find street parking. The truck stands out with it it light green color. We were greeted by a nice young man, who was every energetic and enthusiastic of the food and was great to talk to while waiting for food to come. We ordered the chicken teriyaki and Kahlua pork with all mac. I have never tried spam, so we also gave the musubi a try. We did have to wait some time for the chicken to be ready, for the wait we were offered another musubi, awesome customer service. The musubi was surprisingly awesome and I am glad my first venture into spam was a good experience, otherwise it was doomed from ever being on my plate again. The chicken teriyaki was also good, only thing was kahlua pork was a bit disappointing, because mostly had salt profile, but no smoke. The mac was amazing, one of the top ones I have eaten. Overall the experience was good, as well as the food. Was nice to sit outside on a semi-warm day and just eat good food. I will definitely go back to try some of their specials they have from time to time!

The two working were both very kind and helpful. I know nothing, literally nothing, about Filipino food. So I asked if any of it had seafood in it, as I don't eat seafood. The answer was no, so I just picked one of the four options, and pointed to the picture. I always feel like an idiot when I have to point at something to order it, but the woman taking my order reached out the window to point at the same one so we were on the same page. She was very accommodating to me and I appreciate that. I'm still not entirely sure what I ate, but it was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Prices were pretty decent too. I am full and still get to take some home to my husband. Ambiance is a food truck pod on River Road that I'd never been to before. It is bigger than I expected, with several other nearby trucks that I want to try. Would I return? Yes! Definitely yes. This friend has never steered me wrong when it comes to finding amazing small local business to support, and this is a great one. I'll definitely come back again. Review 32 of 2025.

I am a Thai food junkie, and very picky, so it is hard to steer away from some of my favorite places. They were not available for delivery in my area, so I decided to go ahead, and give this place a try based on the solid reviews, and great pictures. I went with the peanut curry, and a medium spice drunken noodle ( kee mo). I asked for no egg, and no sprouts, and it was made perfectly. The spice was also perfect. The peanut curry was also delicious, a little on the sweeter side, which I do like, but I know many do not. It was perfect for my peanut sauce loving side. Would love to try the phad Thai with their peanut sauce. I bet it is amazing. That is usually my go to when trying a new to me Thai place. Sorry no pics, I wasn't feeling the best, and too hungry. The food was delicious, and will definitely be going back for more great food. I am glad my usual spots were not available.

But he agrees they were delicious! I had the taco trio which for $10 you get one of each of their tacos. My favorite was the pork belly taco followed by the tri tip and the alaskan cod. The pork belly was so tender and perfectly caramelized! The mango/peach salsa made my eyes roll back. The pickled onions gave the perfect acidic touch to the sweetness of the salsa and the savoriness of the pork belly. I loved that each taco was hefty. Each taco had a generous amount of toppings and sauces without overshadowing the protein. It makes you feel healthy while also indulging. It's truly well balanced. Each topping had a purpose. My partner wasn't a huge fan of the Tri Tip, he said it reminded him more of Tex-Mex food and he didn't expect the flavor profile. He said his side of elote fries were pretty good. The cauliflower taco without dairy is pretty plain, the other tacos were accidentally dairy free, but weren't for me! I was told they were good, specifically the fish taco. The chips and salsa were good, it didn't seem like the mango salsa was fresh. I honestly think we weren't ordering the favorites, or maybe caught them on an off day. We also got 2 baskets of fries and a bunch of sauces. I was definitely partial to the chipotle, but the others were nice too.
