I came in here with a friend earlier tonight to grab dinner. This place is highly recommended by my friend, who was born in the Philippines. So he's actually an expert in authentic food. The two working were both very kind and helpful. I know nothing, literally nothing, about Filipino food. So I asked if any of it had seafood in it, as I don't eat seafood. The answer was no, so I just picked one of the four options, and pointed to the picture. I always feel like an idiot when I have to point at something to order it, but the woman taking my order reached out the window to point at the same one so we were on the same page. She was very accommodating to me and I appreciate that. I'm still not entirely sure what I ate, but it was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Prices were pretty decent too. I am full and still get to take some home to my husband. Ambiance is a food truck pod on River Road that I'd never been to before. It is bigger than I expected, with several other nearby trucks that I want to try. Would I return? Yes! Definitely yes. Jing jings was at Oregon wine lab when we went a few weeks ago not on river road but I'm not sure of their current location. The menu they had posted was a little confusing because the description seemed to be cut off. The lady was very nice. It was our first time having Filipino food so we don't exactly have anything to compare too but it was all yummy but a little spicy. Service was very friendly. The pork lumpia was very good and crunchy, and the noodles were very good as well. The pork belly was nice, but it's not my fave. No word on service or ambiance because it was delivery. The halo-halo is a complex and delicious dessert to approach with an open mind-refreshing, full of stuff dessert that requires you to deconstruct it and eat it (beans, jelly, flan, ube), and I would advise anyone to try it once in their lifetime. read more

We ordered a lot of food with high expectations! The pancit and lumpia was excellent! Very flavorful and tasty! Definitely recommend! The pork adobo was not as expected. It was deep fried to crunchy but lacked any flavor. This is not the traditional style of adobo that we know and love (made with the vinegar and soy sauce base). The pieces were mostly thick fatty pieces. Don't recommend unless you like flavorless crunchy pork fat. We special ordered some elocos empanadas and were so disappointed! The wrapper lacked any flavor and was too thick and doughy. The filling was just okay but lacked flavor also. There was a tasty vinegar sauce served with it which made it a little better but not much. We were sorely disappointed and at $10 each we lost money having to throw most of it out because no one would eat it. I wouldn't recommend the empinadas at all. Sorry. We are a family of six and really wanted to like it but it fell flat for all of us. read more

this was a lucky find and a great rec we got while visiting eugene. not being experts on filipino food, we relied on the chef to help us order. she was incredibly kind and suggested that i order the crispy sisig, with lumpia, egg and jasmine rice - and wow was it good. we had beautiful weather that day, so sitting outside at the picnic tables was perfect for lunch! read more

I'm gluten sensitive so this was a good option with the glass noodles. I don't eat port but the gentleman waiting, returning customers, recommended the Jasmine Rice with Pork Belly. Had the Pork Adobo with Jasmine Rice. Some of the tastiest food I've ate in all of Eugene. The pork belly was crispy and melted in your mouth, and the tomato and cucumber added a good balance to the pork and the rice. Ate the whole thing in one sitting! I got a bite of my husband's bicol express and that was good too! Everything was chef's kiss! Recipes are like stories. Everyone's has their own version. So glad there's finally a Filipino food truck in town! Jing Jing's food is delicious. I ordered the binagoongan (bee-nah-go-OH-ngan) plate. So filling and flavorful! The eggplant wasn't overcooked. The pork was tender, yet had a nice crispiness to it. The lumpia (LOOMP-ya) was yummy. I also tried the pancit (PAWN-sit) which was so good, too! Very savory. Make sure to squeeze the lemon over the food, this adds a nice balance to the dish. Can't wait to go back to try the other dishes. I hope she has soupy dishes like sinigang (see-knee-GAWNG) in the winter time! Would be helpful to have a menu on the side of the truck instead of on the window, would make it easier to read. As of this review, there was no tap to pay so make sure to bring a card or cash. There is plenty of outdoor seating the under shade and parking is easy to find. read more

This place is definitely a hidden gem. Oh my goodness. I love Filipino food. I've only ever had Lumpia with meat in the center. They have 2 dessert-type lumping there with berries and banana. They're both really good, but the banana one is mind blowingly good! Everyone there was very friendly and the service was very quick because we were the only people there. Heard amazing things about the food so decided to try them at the Food Fest at Kings Market. I've never seen a food truck so disorganized at an event. at one point I was told they kept loosing power. I dunno what's true, all I know is I had to stand in a group of angry people for over an hour to be met with rude dismissive attitude to finally be told it would be at least another 20 minutes for my food. Pretty sure in the chaos they just forgot a bunch of orders. ended up just leaving after an hour and Half of waiting because I had other plans I had to get too. will never ever return to or support this food truck. read more
