Wonderful place for a down south sea food experience. The service was excellent and very helpful in determining our meal. The peeled shrimp, lobster tail, corn on the cob, the Jasmin rice and the garlic bread were so-o-o tasty and washing it down with a nice lemonade and mango-aid made for a super topper. We also appreciated the mild Cajun spicing option, which avoided the stomach burn, but allowed the mouth and lip heat experience. The reggae music atmosphere was also quite enjoyable and not over-powering. The price was a little steeper than I imagined, but after the exquisite meal and the 'toss on the table' experience, it was well worth it. I would definitely visit this place for a good friends/family time or a nice anniversary get together. read more

The food was good, but the service was amazing! Our server was training during our meal, and was incredibly attentive and friendly while providing the new server tips and tricks for the job. The ambiance was very welcoming, I really like the fish lights. Overall, 4.3/5 stars. Would come back. The crab cakes were the best part of the meal. read more

Lots of parking, cute decor inside! We love the fish lights. We were seated promptly and brought drinks. There is a ton of different options on the menu, even for people who aren't seafood lovers! The curly fries were super good! We got a custom bag and "the big catch" which was a ton of food! I was in Springfield again to visit my niece and her family. As always, we love to eat seafood together. Cajun Claws is the nearest restaurant where I'm staying. With my previous review, I am hoping that there's been an improvement since my last visit. So, we ordered take out from here to give them another chance. On each order, I wrote an instruction for "VERY LOW SALT PLEASE." When I arrive there, there's only 1 car parked in the parking lot, but I did not see anyone dining in, even though it's around noontime. A woman server greeted me and gave my packages. She was very nice and polite. At least, customer service has improved! However, the food quality seemed to turn worst! Every fried food & chips we ordered (fish, shrimps, calamari and chicken tenders) are all TOO SALTY!!! My son lost his appetite after a couple of bites and said it's going to be awhile to get the saltiness off his tongue. The seafood was overcooked, and the fish smells fishy (not fresh). Another wasted money and food! I gave them a chance, but surely this restaurant is just not for me and my family. Not ordering from Cajun Claws ever again!!! read more

Here for the soft opening. Staff is very friendly and attentive. We ordered the All In One Bag with 50/50 seasoning and added dungeons crab. The crab, shrimp, potatoes and corn were all well cooked and flavorful. The majority of the muscles were not cooked long enough to open fully, same with the clams. We also had beignets which were a bit doughy in the center but flavorful. Overall we had an enjoyable experience. Although it is a former Shari's the atmosphere has been reformed with cute woven fish lights and seafood themes. read more

We had such a great experience at Cajun Claws. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The interior was clean. The food was really great, and I'd recommend the shrimp, Dungeness crab, and all of the "sides" (corn, sausage, etc). The smaller crabs (blue, I think) weren't awesome. This place is definitely a 4/5 stars. I went here on a date with my girlfriend (we've been together long enough to get down and nasty with a seafood boil so yes it's a date). We were greeted with complimentary drinks and a very professional staff! Love the look of the place and I definitely have some suggestions for the manager if he will hear me out especially since I myself am a mariner. The food came out hot, the sauce was thicker than other boil spots which I thought was a plus with an amazing flavor, I also got the crab cakes as an appetizer and they were delicious! The only reason why it's not a 5/5 stars is because I wasn't a fan of it being poured directly on the table. Other than that a great experience! Worst seafood boil we've ever had. The crawfish tasted off, the Dungeness crab was rubbery and tough, the shrimp was overcooked, and the Cajun sauce had a weird flavor that ruined the meal. Nothing tasted fresh or properly prepared. Completely overpriced and disappointing -- save your money and go somewhere else, especially Bag O Crab. read more
