Dr. Scott graduated from UCLA which is impressive. On my first visit he was thorough and checked all my teeth, gums, oral health and did it at a high level. I come here mainly because in the area there are only 2 dentist that graduated from a UC. Dr. N graduated from UCLA dental school.

The day before Thanksgiving my son woke up with a "HOT" tooth but we elected to go to Anaheim for the holiday anyway - bad idea! Thanksgiving morning the pain was unbearable and no amount of pain medication helped. I called several "emergency" dentists in the area to no avail. We finally connected with Dr. Nishizaka and even though he was enjoying the holiday with his family he agreed to meet us at his office later that morning. Dr. Nishizaka was understanding and thorough. He explained everything that was going on and what was needed in great detail (including cost) and answered all of our questions. After taking care of the tooth he put together a letter to our regular dentist along with the x-rays he took. Needless to say our regular dentist was extremely impressed! For those who are wondering - his fee was reasonable and fair. He could have easily capitalized on the situation especially considering the holiday. I never would have thought I would be doing a Yelp review for a Dentist since I REALLY don't care for going to the Dentist but I would seriously consider going to Dr. Nishizaka as my regular dentist even going as far as flying to Anaheim to do so! read more

Dr. Nishizaka has been our family dentist for almost 15 years. Hands down the best, most competent, most friendly, most honest, and most wonderful human being you'll ever find. He was originally referred to me by a close friend who happens to be a physician. He's been wonderful. His techniques are beyond amazing. I have at least 5 friends who are dentists specializing in general, ortho, and periodontal. So the fact that I go to Dr. Nishizaka should say something. UCLA did a great job training Dr. Nishizaka. So yeah I highly recommend him. I've had everything done here including cleaning, crown, night guards, and root canal. His prices are reasonable and his staff are very friendly. A very close and selective friend referred me to Dr. Nishizaka a few years ago. I had been searching for a family dentist for a while. I cannot give this office enough praise. I've been to a couple of dentists over the years always searching for a place that I would feel comfortable bringing my whole family (including children) to. The front office is so friendly, the office is very clean and I've never waited. He is prompt with his appointment times. I had a situation where I thought I would need an endodontist but Dr. Nishizaka gave an honest opinion about the work needing to be done and was able to do it gently and effectively with minimal discomfort. I recently had my teeth cleaned and a few fillings (some were redo's of older fillings). I love how my teeth feel after cleaning and this was the best cleaning I think I've ever had. He is a kind, compassionate and skilled Dr. I would trust him with anything that needs attention with regards to my teeth. He will also be making molds of my teeth to make a new retainer for me. All around great service. Trustworthy, honest and makes me feel comfortable and welcomed. So happy I found Cambridge. My wife and I just moved to Orange County and needed to find a dentist. Found Dr. Nishizaka through the positive reviews on Yelp and made appointments for both of us. I've had a slightly sensitive tooth so I was fearing the worst and putting off visiting but finally decided I wasn't doing myself any favors by delaying. When I got to the office, they saw me right away. The dentist immediately calmed my dental anxieties just by being so nice and easygoing. The exam went like a breeze and it turned out my tooth sensitivity was nothing to worry about. I've been lucky in life to have nice dentists everywhere I've lived but this one may be my favorite. We (family of 5) have been going to Cambridge Dental Care and Dr. Scott Nishizaka for over 10 years. He and the staff are extremely friendly and kind. We have had the general stuff - teeth cleanings, fillings, wisdom teeth pulled, and caps, which have been done well. But it is the care he has given our son whom was born with a severe cleft lip/palate that stands out! He has worked closely with our son's specialists through his 12 years in braces, his prep for an implant, his gum surgery and most recently his jaw surgery. When my son unexpectedly lost a tooth at the age of 15, he came up with a fake tooth that was semi-permanently attached to the teeth on either side so that we could avoid a bridge at his young age and avoid possible teasing about a gap in front. We still have a few more issues involving my son that I'm am quite confident Dr. Nishizaka will help us with. I have all the trust in the world with him and his office staff and would recommend him wholeheartedly to others! read more

He's great with kids (our daughter is 9 now and has been seeing her since she was quite young... she's not scared of going to the dentist at all because of his kind demeanor). He's never trying to sell you a procedure you don't need, which I've had bad experiences with in the past. My boyfriend recommended I come here for my dental work and I was not disappointed. I have had my teeth cleaned here a couple of times as well as had a few fillings that were "leaking" fixed. Always professional and friendly. Nishizaka lets you know exactly what is going on so that you can understand what's going on in your mouth and to set your nerves at ease. I never felt any pain during any of my dental appointments and have never been disappointed by the results. He is a graduate from UCI where I currently go and always asks me how my classes are going. When I was getting my fillings fixed he noticed that I didn't have a cover on my iphone 3g and asked if I wanted one...umm yes! apparently one of his patients worked for belkin and left some extra covers there. And of course you get a toothbrush after each appt. I would definitely recommend him to anyone. Cambridge dental was a huge part of my life for 5 years! My teeth went from a crooked mess to beautiful pearly whites!
