The interior is so cute! There is a lovely bar top meant for reading a book while sipping on wine. There is an extensive shelving unit filled with bottles of wine to purchase. Each bottle of wine has a tag around the neck giving a vivid description of the wine. I appreciated that the wine pricing averaged $25 which is within my budget. The selection of books is fantastic. I recognized so many authors and also discovered new books I want to read. I told the manager how in love i am with this store and she shared they also host book clubs and events. If I was not a tourist I would definitely become a member of their book club. The manager helped me pick a lovely bottle of white wine to take home. I appreciated how knowledgeable she was about the wine which is remarkable given how large the selection of bottles is. I will likely come back to pick up merch. I never want to forget about visiting this unique and adorable small business.

Just off main street, you'll walk in to a beautiful room with walls of books surrounding you. But the first thing you'll see is the astounding art scattered around the walls. Truly lovely paintings (my favorites involved dogs) that made you feel like you were in a really elevated store. There were different book selections, though it wasn't too overwhelming that you had analysis paralysis in what to choose. THE STORY. We were chatting with the owner, who mentioned that she had written a book the previous year called Death is My Life. And she was describing her life who were really struck with everything that she had been through and bought ourselves a copy. Her significant other was in the back room doing the accounting and he was just as friendly. It was so lovely seeing these two people, and they really mentioned their appreciation that we stomped by not only to support a local bookstore, but to support a local bookstore in the off-season. We chatted a bit about what books were good, and ended up buying two that we'll read while here and on the plane ride back home. Do yourself a favor. Stroll through main Street, stop in this beautiful little bookstore, and buy a book to keep the spirit of this town going strong.

I…read moretried to get it from Amazon and I wasn't able to find and get an actual book so I spoke with one of the employees and he said the book I was looking for was very popular and that he can't keep It on the shelf and that he was going to get another shipment soon so try back on Thursday. I went back Thursday and he put a book aside for me and there were not many books left in the shipment. The employee was so friendly and I greatly appreciated him holding and putting the book aside for me and he knew I was on vacation. Highly recommend.

These were fun to look at, and we were sure to pick up a few that didn't disappoint. Service was friendly. The woman working at the register was kind, friendly, and struck up conversation. I was very excited to stop by Bethany Beach Books and I think it's insanely awesome that this…read morebookstore is just a small walk to the beach. I found out about this bookstore from one of my favorite authors who had stopped in and signed a bunch of books! The bookstore is crowded like it's filled to the brim with books so much so that there are piles on the floor. It was pretty organized! There was something pretty niche my fiancé was looking for that they didn't have but otherwise I feel like they had a good selection! They had quite a few workers and there was never a long line! I also liked that they gave out bookmarks with the purchase! There was an author outside signing her book so I ended up picking that up! They did have a lot of cool gifting stuff and I also picked up postcards here as there really wasn't a souvenir style shop that had actual Bethany merch.
