Whether you're looking to host a casual gathering or a soiree, I would recommend oh Chai! I'd love if oh Chai! had a physical location to enjoy smaller orders of tea and small bites at. + Their menu is vegetarian. + You can order a la carte (minimum of 12 servings) or in packages (25-100 servings) directly from their website, https://www.ohchai.com/menu T E A There are 3 Indian teas or hot cocoa to choose from. The minimum order is for 12 servings which IIRC is about 24 cups? We ordered the following: + Cardamom tea: I typically don't like cardamom tea at the restaurants, because the cardamom flavor is too strong. I was surprised I really enjoyed this. I must have had some 8 cups of this. I was very caffeinated! + Masala tea F O O D There's a large curation of food including sandwiches, savory pastries, cakes, and Indian desserts. Similarly, it's only for a large order. It would be awesome too if they had chaat sandwiches like pav bhaji or dabeli. Sandwiches: Available in 12 or 18. + Roasted pepper and pesto sandwiches: roasted red peppers, basil pesto, and pepperjack cheese + Cheese and fig preserve sandwiches: goat cheese, pecans, and figs Savory Pastry: Available in 12 or 18. +++ Samosa pinwheels: croissant-like pinwheels with spiced potatoes and caramelized onions. These were the most popular and immediately devoured. In retrospect, I wish we had gotten 2 orders of these! Cake: Available in 12 squares or an 8" round cake. The consistency of the cakes were my only complaint. + Cardamom and rose: Loved the flavor of cardamom and rose infused in the cake. The birthday boy usually pushes all the cream and frosting from the cake into the trash, so I figured I should try cakes without them. Although the description said it would be a moist cake, it was unfortunately dry and turned into a glue-like consistency in the mouth. It was difficult to eat without chasing it with tea. + Nutty walnut: Same as the cardamom and rose cake, it had great flavor but lacking in moisture. S E R V I C E + I initially had an issue placing an order online due to Reshu's calendar window being off as she was going to be out of town. She was quick to resolve the issue within a few minutes after I called her. + Easy confirmation by text the day before. + Punctual within the requested 30 minute delivery window. Both Reshu and the delivery person were professional. Everything was hand delivered to our front door. + Presentation and sustainability: The paper plates were sturdy and paper cups provided had the logo on them. The teas were in insulated bags in a cardboard dispenser which were easy to use. The sandwiches were neatly arranged in a box with cute little bamboo tongs. * FYI they offer a high tea set up (including 3-tier and party trays, flowers, table cloths, and airpots) for an extra $45-140 depending on the size of your package, and you'd be responsible for returning their items within 48 hours. This isn't available for a la carte. We only had 15 people, so the smallest package would have been too much for us. 11 star service. We catered food from Reshu for our Diwali crafts party and had a great experience. Reshu helped us from the very beginning to choose and customize a package for our party. It is rare to find good chai outside and both ginger and cardamom chai were wonderful (my mom took 3 servings when she is very picky with her chai). Bite size sandwiches worked great for the party to eat on the go without any messiness. Both rose/cardamom and lemon cake were a hit, I'm still craving for more. Reshu also helped in setting up our table and was extremely supportive when we were having some issues with the timing of our event. Love finding a local gem, women owned small business! read more

I had the priviledge of organizing a baby shower at my work for a colleague of mine. I looked on YELP for tea sandwhiches as a way to simplify one component of the event planning. Soon after emailing business owner Rashu Goyal she responded within a short time answering all of my questions. I immediately booked four orders of sandwhiches: pesto and bell pepper, cucumber, goat cheese and fig fruit spread and egg avocado salad as well as one container of cardamom chai. For a small fee everything was delivered exactly as needed to my work site. The chai tea was piping hot and came in one of those hot coffee cary alls. I loved the chai tea it was delectable. The sanwhiches were very nicely presented in two large boxes, ready to serve with bamboo mini tongues. I like that each box of sanwhiches had a label that clearly stated what was in the box for guests to know. Each flavor sandwhich I selected was delicious. I was able to easily feed about 25 adults with the four large orders of sanwhiches and one order of the potato pinwheels. I had about a quarter of a box left over but that was only because we had other food available. I highly recommend this business and the business owner's helpfulness to anyone looking to bring their event a nice and special touch with delicious food. read more

I was able to get a last minute order of afternoon tea for two as a surprise for Valentine's Day. The entire experience was amazing, the order was crafted in a day, we had three delicious kinds of cakes and three spectacular and unique little sandwiches and some Samosa pinwheels which were the surprise hit of tea time and offset the perfectly spiced chai tea wonderfully. Could not recommend enough for both an excellent high tea experience and one that is also a little novel compared to the usual scones and jam session you might find elsewhere. read more

"Oh Chai!" is a very welcome addition to the Bay Area -thoroughly enjoyed a High Tea event hosted by the company. The owner Reshu is a tea aficionado and this comes through in the tea - brewed strong enough with just the right amount of milk. The company offers unique tea cakes flavored with cardamom, rose, walnut to name a few. I am a tea fanatic and always looking for that perfect cup of tea, wether just to relax me or entertain my friends! Reshu's ginger tea was so flavorful, I loved the aroma of her chai and the taste of ginger and cardamom that came through just right. The different variety of tea sandwiches - cucumber cream cheese, tomato basil and goat cheese fig preserve were lovely. The Lemon birthday cake and cardamom-rose cupcakes, were outstandingly light and flavorful, especially considering they were made with whole wheat flour!
