vietnamese coffee
Melissa Y.

Such a great find for a someone on a Vietnamese coffee kick! This place serves one of the best Vietnamese coffees I've had, despite not advertising itself as a coffee (or Vietnamese) place. For reference, I didn't try the coffee until almost an hour after it had been made. Even factoring in ice melting, the coffee was super rich, velvety, smooth, very strong, everything one would want in a Vietnamese coffee. I can't place the exact flavor but there was some added dimension to this coffee that I don't recall experiencing in other Vietnamese coffees. The portion is comparable to that of iced coffee/matcha places and possibly a bit better than some. It was $7.19 on Doordash so probably/hopefully a bit cheaper in person. I normally Doordash my orders from the poke place that Milkcow shares space with, but based on the times I've been in person the interior is clean and has some seating spread out.

Salted egg yolk

Really enjoyed the ice cream with salted egg yolk topping here. The salted egg yolk flavored syrup and crumbles paired wonderfully with the vanilla/milk soft serve. We were able to walk in and get our desserts very quickly, but unfortunately we were informed by the staff that the seating area was closed since it was within 30min of closing. This dessert shop seems to be in a shared space as a poke restaurant.

It smelled very fishy at this dessert shop when I came by on a Friday afternoon, as it shares a space with Sunfish Poke Bar. But it was a cute and clean setting with wall art making you feel like you're under the sea. I didn't wanna stay in there too long though, for fear of my clothes absorbing the fishy odor. Luckily there were a few outdoor tables with seating in the middle of the parking lot. I had no problems with service. Staff was friendly, and ordering at the front counter was quick and easy. Be aware they charge 35 cents for credit card purchases under $10. Got a chocolate milkshake, and the regular size was plenty. It was drinkable, but the taste was too milky and weak on the chocolate flavor, not very satisfying nor memorable in any way. Plus those wide boba straws are annoying (I used my own normal straw after I left). This place might be fine for soft serve, but I wouldn't recommend their milkshakes based on my recent visit.

Tiramisu

We used to come to milkcow in high school! I'm sad it's a lot smaller now and just part of the poke bowl shop - not a huge fan since it smells like fish which I don't eat. That all aside though there are many flavors to choose from and our ice cream tasted so good! We got tiramisu and milky honey and loved both, they were also made really well and the staff members did a great job putting all the fillings and toppings. However I would suggest there to be a smaller option for cheaper, since it's a pretty big cup of ice cream for over $6. A mini option for like $3 would be a nice idea.

I came here July 2024, but I have had milk cow a couple of times as a kid back when they were running in their own brick and mortar. The ice cream here is so delish. You definitely have to try it once, because I've never had ice cream with such milky flavor and amazing texture. The service is fast and kind. The ambiance is not there because they had to downsize into a poke bar, but it's still great for hanging out with friends and family.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - for 4 people, ordered Milky Matcha (Large), Milky Honey, and Salted Egg Yolk. Loved the honey as it was simple, sweet, and worked really well with the slight tartness of the ice cream. We enjoyed the matcha powder and matcha syrup as the slight bitterness compliments the sweetness of the ice cream. The salted egg yolk was how we expected but became overwhelming halfway through. Was fun to try though! Service: 5/5 - quick service that is direct Ambiance: 5/5 - cute shop with simple decorations but clean tables! Value for price: 4/5 - slightly pricey for simple ice cream and toppings but we enjoyed the treat.

Was looking for a little sweet treat after lunch and I remembered this place that we tried once yeeears ago before the pandemic so I looked up to make sure they were still there - sooo they are still located in the same plaza but apparently have downsized as it isn't as much of a hangout spot as I remember. There are a few small tables to sit at still. Anyways, we were very happy with the variety of toppings for our soft serve, I got one with caramel and coffee and it was perfect. My only minor complaint is that we all felt a little cheated out of the size because each of ours was hollow in the middle. It would have been perfect if the hole in middle was filled with more toppings or something at least!

The ice cream base itself is all the same - A very creamy vanilla base. I personally got the mango and it was good, a bit artificial flavoring but it's what I expected. Definitely pretty heavy so I recommend sharing with a friend.

I didn't get pictures of of our food. But the ice cream is so smooth and so flavorful! I got the tiramisu dessert. It's not just tiramisu flavored! They have lady fingers, espresso, cheese, and the cocoa powder. Absolutely delicious. And not too sweet--iykyk!! And my friend got the mango ice cream. Again so delicious and yet flavorful with non-frozen pieces of freshly cur mangoes on it too! Service: the workers were incredibly sweet and took their time to perfect each dish. Ambiance: its a cute under the sea themed place. So cute and very clean!

I went here closer to the night time and it was a very quick experience. It is inside this poke place but we got the soft serve. The service was great and they gave us recommendations. The soft serve itself was great. This made me realize that I very much prefer soft serve as a dessert over ice cream. It was very flavorful, sweet, and yummy

I went here on a Saturday around 5:15pm and there was no wait! It was a hot day, so I was surprised there wasn't anyone else in line, but there were people inside this icecream shop though. This place sells other items too, such as egg puffs, milkshakes, tea, and even sandwiches! We got the Strawberry Delight and also the Cookies & Cream soft serves. I love how the Strawberry Delight included a rolled cookie and that was fun to eat, while the cookies & cream had a different type of cookie with Oreo crumbs dusted on top. I'd recommend this place! They have different soft serves which comes in a variety of toppings. I also liked how much variety they have here, so it's not just icecream. I just wish they would have the option to add toppings to the soft serve.

Holy cow Milkcow! Extremely creamy and smooth soft serve ice cream with a wide variety of flavors/toppings to satisfy any craving. I got the Mango World, which was the perfect fruity concoction. The IPA was not too sweet, and had light pistachio and nutty flavor. Service was fast! You have 3 sizes to choose from. We got the small, which was still a substantial size. There is some seating inside for you to enjoy your frosty treat. Will definitely be back!

Milkcow is tucked away inside Sunfish Poke Bar. It's an ice cream and milkshake shop for those with a sweet tooth. While the ambiance might be a bit unexpected - you're essentially in a poke restaurant - Milkcow makes up for it with an extensive ice cream and milkshake menu. The real star of the show here is the variety. From classic flavors to more adventurous options, there's something for everyone. I opted for the tiramisu ice cream. The ice cream itself had a rich, creamy texture, but it didn't include any ladyfingers unfortunately (even though it is advertised on the menu), and that was a letdown. The coffee flavor wasn't overpowering, but it balanced perfectly with the sweetness of the cream. I opted for the small cup, but I couldn't finish it because of how sweet the ice cream was. The ambiance is a bit of a double-edged sword. Since it's located within Sunfish, there's not a dedicated seating area for Milkcow, so you might end up sharing a table with someone mid-poke. Though I will add that when we went there in the evening, we didn't see anyone eating poke. Everyone there was indulging in either the ice cream or the shake. Overall, it's a pretty decent spot if you are looking for ice cream and milk shakes.

There's no seating area inside the bakery, but there are some tables outside next to a water fountain. Of the times that I've been there, it's mostly empty and clean, and the trash bins are not overflowing. The donuts are absolutely delicious. The brioche donut is soft but holds the fillings in well. There's also a bit of crunch from the sugar on the outside of the donut. There's an ample amount of filling, so you get to taste the flavors. So far, my favorites are Irish cream, lemon blueberry, and banana cream. It is a bit messy to eat, so have napkins and a small plate to catch any sugar or filling that may fall out when you bite into it. We had their chocolate chip cookie. It looked like a big mound of baked dough. Overall, it was okay. I would easily skip this for the donuts instead. I haven't tried their coffees, but my daughter loves the hot chocolate, and I have been enjoying their calamansi juice. It's nice and tart, not too sweet. I have seen some savory options but have not tried them. I will be back to explore the menu.

Found Izumi…read moreCakes on Yelp and was bummed at first because the soonest online reservation for a cake would be two days later. Husband called them around 11am and they said they were in the middle of making their strawberry cakes so they could add our order in for a same day pickup at 4pm. Pickup went well and the cake was so cute and it tasted great! Like the Chinese bakery strawberry cream cake with a moist sponge cake; not too sweet, just right. Might sound basic but it was done very well. Would 100% recommend. I don't know prices for cakes nowadays but I didn't feel bad paying about $60 for a cute and tasty cake (6", strawberry cream cake). I wouldn't bank on same day pickups, I might've just been very lucky they were in the middle of making their cakes but it wouldn't hurt to try calling early in the day if you're in a pinch for a solid cake. I'm very thankful for their service!

Finding parking isn't difficult…read morebut might take a minute on busy days, as it shares a parking lot with the rest of a popular plaza. The store itself is easy to find as well, with a clear label outside. Walking in, it looks half-closed--their cakes are all stored in a large refrigerator, with nothing in the case on the counter. There is a sign proclaiming "takeout only" in slight disarray, and the seating is pushed to the side. That said, the service is friendly and the employees are quick to help you and show you what they have in stock for takeout. I ordered the 4" Berry Berry Light Cake for a birthday, and they were able to write a birthday message on the cake board, which I really appreciated. The cake also tasted very light and the sweetness was subtle, which I really enjoyed. The berry flavor in the sponge was a little too subtle, though. My main concern is that the cake does not fully resemble the picture they advertised online. It is missing the freeze-dried berries on top, and the berry glaze did not reach as far down the cake as was shown in the photo. Because the berry glaze is the main source of the berry flavor, this was a little disappointing. Also, the cake was not finished when I came to pick up the cake (and I was ~5 minutes late). I'm uncertain if this is for freshness or if there is another reason. Overall, I like the spot for the fresh and light cake. It's pleasantly unique compared to your standard sheet cake, and everything is rather cute. However, it may be a better idea to buy the cakes in-person to be 100% sure of what it will look like, though daily stock is definitely more limited than if you place an order online. I hope they reopen their indoor seating soon.

The Strawberry Fresca was super refreshing -- fruity and almost like it's mixed with soda, and still creamy at the same time. A really nice balance that makes it perfect for a warm day.
