I tried a couple of her famous flavors before deciding- Neapolitan and an intense chocolate cake (I forget the exact name). Holy cannoli. First we'll talk about the Neapolitan- amazingly clever layers of chocolate and vanilla cake with not-too-sweet strawberry cream. Laurel's cake texture is perfection every time, moist and soft. The flavors were scrumptious. LOVE ON A PLATE. The chocolate which I got for my then fiance's birthday. Delicious, moist chocolate cake with layers of filling- chocolate buttercream (which I would bathe in if given the chance and guarantee that no one would judge me) as well as a light chocolate mousse. I got the 4 inch bento cake with vanilla cake and chocolate frosting. I sent her a reference photo of what I wanted the cake to look like, and it came out just as I wanted! (if not better!!!) The frosting on the exterior of the cake was SO GOOD. Tasted very buttery and not too sweet. It was really addicting and the two of us finished the cake easily in one sitting. I also got a set of 5 Pure Milk Macarons, which were chewy and the filling was so creamy and chilled! Very much tasted like ice cream in the center. Overall, not too sweet and very delicious!
