ning, I want to give this establishment a "zero", but there is no option for that. This is my second bad experience at this shop, and I'm not sure what happened , but I can say that I was treated in a very unprofessional manner. I have been going to this shop for years and have had my lashes done consistently by Sandy. On one of my latest visits there, I was unhappy with the way they turned out, and did voice that to her. Fast forward to my next visit for lashes (I had been back for nail service) in which Sandy refused to do my lashes. To my surprise, I was told that someone else would do them, even though Sandy was there, and despite that fact that I have worked exclusively with her for this service. At that point, I asked to speak to the owner - who then asked me if I "had an appointment with her" (no I did not, nor have I ever needed one - since the shop takes walk-ins)... I had noticed that Sandy seemed to be a bit reserved as of late, but attributed it to my own tiredness - thought perhaps I was just imagining it... At any rate - I asked to speak to the owner, who then conversed with Sandy in Vietnamese. This is when I found out that Sandy was refusing to do my lashes because I complained the last time she did them. I am so surprised at this and very saddened that after all this time and with many "good" outcomes on lashes, that one complaint could make her refuse my business. Furthermore - I feel that the owner was so very remiss in allowing her to do that, and this will cost the business quite a few dollars, and quite many, many referrals This shop has now lost my business, all the business of my family members and friends that I have brought to this shop, and all the negative comments that will be going out from our collective voices. The impact may not be noticed - but then again - word of mouth can break absolutely impact and possibly break a business... read more

During my pedicure, the technician started cutting into the corner of what she identified as an ingrown toenail. I reacted twice and told her that it was hurting, but she continued. Looking back, I wish I had been more firm and stopped her immediately. The corner of my nail then started bleeding significantly. This was not just a tiny drop of blood -- there was visible blood on the white towel. Instead of properly stopping and addressing the injury, she put some acetone or antibacterial solution on the area and then simply moved on to my other toe, leaving the area bleeding. She repeatedly dismissed it as if nothing had happened. I wish I had taken a picture of the toe when it was bleeding. At that point, I asked her to just wrap everything up and left. I didn't even have the nail polish applied because I was so uncomfortable with what had happened. The photo I am posting was taken approximately 8-10 hours after the incident, and the toe is still visibly red and irritated. This is not something I believe should be taken lightly. Cutting into the skin around an ingrown nail and causing significant bleeding can create an open wound and an opportunity for bacteria to enter. Infections around the toe can become serious if they are not properly treated and can potentially spread into deeper tissue. That is exactly why proper sanitation, stopping the bleeding, and appropriately caring for an injury are so important.
