I haven't gotten my nails done in so long because of busy-working-mom-life but I've always been meaning to check out this nail salon ever since the location switched from being an Asian grocery store. I think this is now maybe the third salon that's been in this location but it must be the best! I walked in on a weekday morning and it wasn't too busy which was nice. The ambiance is bright and spacious and very clean! I was seated with Tram who chatted with me the whole time and was so fun to talk to. I did a marble-y pearl-y looking gel manicure which was exactly the vibe I was looking for. I really wanted to like this salon. It's large, clean, classy, and has great parking. By all appearances a cool vibe. I'm looking for a new tech so I stopped in after reading their good reviews. When I first walked in, no clients were in the salon so I would think that they would welcome business. The tech almost seemed bothered by my visit, wasn't welcoming or friendly. I engaged in some conversation throughout my service to no avail. The other staff weren't friendly either. It also didn't help that their young child was unruly the entire hour I was there. Screaming and running around. It was super annoying and unprofessional. TBH I'm not sure I would have minded the kid's tantrums if the service was better and I loved the place, but it just made it worse. I told her specifically I was looking for a new salon and tech, so I would think she would want to do a good job, or perhaps go above & beyond to gain a new client. Well, I got the bare minimum. In fact, in all the years I've gotten my nails done I've never had them done so fast. I had a fill, and was in/out in under 1 hr. It almost took more time to air brush the ombré than the actual fill. Normally I'd be OK with that, but her work was rushed and the final product showed. At first glance, my nails look beautiful, but when you take a closer look, they're not so great. The most annoying to me was, I asked for her to clean up underneath, and told her one nail was separating/lifting from underneath. It felt as though it was gonna snap off soon. She never did that. When she was done, I had to ask her to glue it to help hold down the nail, because it still felt "loose". Also, my real nails under the acrylic were sticking out from the side edges on several fingers. That drives me crazy! How do you miss that? Or is it just laziness? Well, that loose nail popped off, and 2 more are now loose. I also unfort had a reaction to a product or polish she used. All my finger tips and cuticles the next day were swollen, red and sore. This hasnt happened to me in a long time, but last time it did was due to either HEPA gel products, or bad/expired/old products. (It also has happened in the past due to dirty tools, and she did cut all my cuticles and edges with a nail clipper, but that is an unfounded assumption that I cannot prove.) At payment time, I was charged $75. but their website said $65 for the service I got. I did not question it, and I still gave her a good tip. She still did an ok job, and being in the service industry myself, I'm not going to begrudge her a tip. I just will not return. I'm glad that other clients have better experiences, maybe I got them on a bad day. read more

This nail salon is very spacious and clean and their staff is very friendly. It's really easy to get an appointment or walk in. I took a chance and tried out the salon for my wedding mani pedi and they did a great job. I got medium gel x with cat eye and it looked great. It retained very well too. I do think they could be more gentle with removal though bc they thinned them out a lot. They did a great job on my pedicure as well. I brought 2 other relatives and they all had great things to say. I went in for a full set, and I was pretty happy with how my nails looked. I went in for a fill 3 weeks later and then decided to take off my nails at home. I soaked my nails in acetone and when I tried to scrape it off it was that weird gummy texture..likely mma monomer. I struggled so bad for like an hour and just gave up so I went in so they could help me take them off. I really wanted to like this place. I showed her the "menu" and asked "will I be getting the sugar scrub?" and the ladies told me no and freaked out and someone grabbed the "menu" and literally sharpied out the sugar scrub! Soooo I'm essentially paying for a service I'm not receiving. I give two stars for 1. Their booking process was easy and I didn't have to wait when I arrived for my appointment. 2. I decided to stop by for a mani on a Saturday afternoon around 2:45pm since I had an event to attend that evening. I walked in and glad I didn't have to wait. I have been here multiple times and it usually never disappoints. They were previously M Nails & Spa but changed owners last Sep. I only wanted a regular mani ($25) and the nail tech was very thorough and precise with cutting my cuticles, filing and cleaning my nails. I loved how my nails turned out even with a basic color like milky white. The whole thing took about 30 min or so, which wasn't bad at all since I needed to be in and out. The place looks the same as when I last came. It's spacious and very clean with lots of seats available to accommodate many customers. Also, they prefer cash. I've been conflicted about my rating of this place because my mani was honestly perfect (shoutout to Lien) but my pedi was one of the worst I've ever gotten... It was done so fast, there was minimal effort to shape the nails after cutting them down, the gel was lifting after 4 days, there was really no cuticle care so it was basically just a color change, and my tech messed up the polish and tried to just haphazardly file it down and call it a day. It looked sooo sloppy but after basically 20 minutes (including the 8 min massage) she was done and walked away so fast. Not worth the $60. Save your money and avoid pedicures here. I do highly recommend Lien though and appreciate her attention to detail. I will be back for her and her only. read more

I've been here about three times overall. The first couple of visits were good, and I was always greeted nicely. This last time, I came in for a pedicure and was seated in less than 10 minutes, which I appreciated. I've never had an issue with the other staff before, which is why this experience stood out. However, my experience during the service was disappointing. I asked for a specific color with a French tip, but the older lady they call "mama" who did my pedicure was very rude. When I showed her the color I wanted, she immediately said no and tried to push me to get a cat-eye design instead. After that, she started talking to another worker about the color I chose while I was sitting right there, which made me feel very uncomfortable. Ive been here a bunch of times and each time it gets worse. The good-I like that they include a lot of things like a sugar scrub, stone massage and shoulder massage in the deluxe mani/pedis. The bad-i first noticed that they often try to skip using a primer before putting on a base coat for a gel manicure. This is why polish will peel off in a week... i have to ask for it every time. I asked for the callus remover last time and she pulled out a metal foot file that was like a cheese grater - had blades and edges that sliced dead skin off (which i believe are illegal to use in California,) i told her to not use that on me. They didnt soak my feet until close to the massage part of the pedi... sugar scrubbed on dry skin. Then today she burned my leg with the hot towel. I almost gave them $30 for the work they did so far and walked out of there, but chose to stay. I will not be back.. red flag after red flag. They are nice enough and the space is lovely but the work is inconsistent and sometimes dangerous. read more

With all the good reviews, I figured everyone working here is good at what they do! Unfortunately I got Lynn for my gel manicure and some other lady for my regular pedicure. Manicure, the color application is even with no bubbles. Cool. But the shape is so ugly! And the nail sizes aren't the same! Pedicure was whatever. They use a timer for your massage which is fair. I had to ask her to fix 2 toes. One was uneven color and one had a smudge.
