Made a reservation for 5 and checked in right at the time after fighting to find a parking space within 40 blocks. **SERIOUSLY - IF YOU CAN GET DROPPED OFF HERE** We put in some appetizers to start, with me just ordering cheese naan to get things going. For my meal I got the chicken masala which is served with rice. I also added more cheese naan and garlic naan. The flavors were great, and the rice was prepared perfectly. The naan I could probably eat 20 of them, so good. The service was also very good. Two waitresses tended to us and were very friendly and attentive. Got sick of food where the only spice is salt. It was amazing, here. Very delicious and we wanted Indian spicy, and they delivered. Ordered the deep fried spinach entree (palak chat), Chana masala and chicken korma and garlic naan. Rice came with the Chana masala which was nice. It was all very delicious! Oh Naan is an Indian cusine restaurant with trendy atmosphere. You can park on the street with hourly parking and they also have few spots outdoor to sit if the weather is nice. We made a reservation for 4 via Google maps app, and they called up in few minutes after to confirm the reservation as they close the restaurant for lunch service at 2:30. It's been a while since I've had time to do a review but I absolutely had to after visiting this place tonight! We were originally supposed to go to another restaurant but for the sake of convenience we tried this spot on a whim, and I'm sooooo happy we did! This is hands down the most slept on Indian restaurant in DC. I usually order the chicken tikka masala but ordered the coconut curry chicken (medium heat) because I hardly see it on the menu anywhere in DC. My partner ordered the lamb vindaloo. Both dishes were AMAZING...no exaggeration. The chicken was very tender and flavorful. And the garlic naan was also a big hit for both of us. I ordered the chai martini and will be spinning the block for this drink again. The ambiance was cozy with holiday themed decorations but not gaudy. I can tell that this is a great spot for a cold winter's night when you need a hug in meal form, exactly what we got tonight. Overall, great customer service and attentive staff that made great recommendations. We even met the chef tonight and made sure to give him kudos for our delicious meals. This place really blessed my spirit and stomach. Happy I could support a small, local DC business. P.S. You know a restaurant is excellent when you see a ton of delivery drivers in and out picking up orders. We ordered the veggie Korma and chicken masala both were large enough to share with leftover. I've worked in the Thomas Circle area for almost 25 years and I've seen the 14th st corridor really blossom. Just this past weekend, my wife and I took the opportunity to again stroll down 14th and we noticed so many new restaurants, with a fantastic buzz and vibe. We vowed to make sure we tried some of the new establishments in short order So, I caved in and didn't wait to sample the fare., I decided to order delivery from Oh! naan Indian kitchen from work today. And, well, it's going to be very dangerous to have such a tantalizing restaurant so easily accessible. I was having a busy day so I really didn't get to peruse the menu to my satisfaction but I grabbed two items what sounded great: Fish Tandori and Daal Fry. I do like spicy, but chose "medium spice" since this was my first time for Oh! Naan and wanted to get a baseline. The flavors were quite solid. I've had richer, more flavorful Indian dishes - but in fairness, those have all been at very high end establishments (Rasika, for example). The spice level was a bit too mild for me - the fish didn't seem to have any heat, and the daal was closer to "mild" than medium. This did NOT distract from my enjoyment of the dishes at all. My friends and I kept seeing this place pop up so we decided to stop in to check it out. My first comment would be to make a reservation as there didn't seem to be a ton of seating at first glance but thankfully we were able to get a table when we went. The place itself is pretty nice inside and the service was really kind! For food, my friend and I split the chicken masala which was basically a butter chicken. It was pretty decent - not our favorite because the chicken didn't have much flavor but the curry itself had great flavor! Some of the others in my party were already seated, so I quickly joined them. I was attended to right after getting settled, and it didn't take me long to figure out what I wanted -- I got sesame naan and chicken chettinad, an Indian dish I haven't had yet! I liked how the spices and flavors came together in it, though it was no way as beautiful and colorful as my friend's vindaloo! When I went to the bathroom, I really got to take the whole restaurant in. There's a fully stocked bar with a few seats, and there's an upper and lower level with extra seating. The giant wine rack on the wall when heading to the lower level is a really nice piece to look at. There's lovely art along the walls, and for anyone who sits at the window right at the entrance, there's a lovely tapestry piece hanging up. So the food was delicious, the staff were all really kind to us, and the vibe there is just really nice. Parking on the side streets or on 14th shouldn't be too much of a hassle unless there is a concert or show going on nearby. They're a welcome addition to the neighborhood, so make sure you try if you're around! read more

I just love this place and their staff. The owners are warm and friendly and they go out of their way for you. The menu, extensive, checks all the boxes. Whether you are wanting vindaloo, mild, or something in between, they work with you. It is uniformly pleasant. I have enjoyed a full meal with friends or just a nosh at the bar. I got takeout from here last night. This is food that doesn't taste like Indian food at all. I got the chicken masalaa- it tasted like the spicy vodka sauce from Carbone. It was good, definitely edible, but not Indian food. The saag paneer was the same, flavorless but creamy and definitely edible. swear to god 14th street open and closes its doors on restaurants everyday, so had to support the brand new Indian spot! - first off this is a very cute restaurant, tons of different seating options and despite the fast casual sounding name it's well run, decorated, and quality service - the waitress put in the wrong order for one of people at my table and uponupon discovery she immediately apologized and had a new dish brought out to the table within a few minutes, all very kind staff - the chai martini was an exciting find. the idea itself is an immediate 10 out of 10.... could be such a new thing. the execution was more of a 6/10. the drink is very strong (yay)and very heavy on the cinnamon. sorta felt like they use cinnamon to make up for not having another way to implement the chai flavor, should've been sweeter and thicker. - the vindaloo was delicious, just really light on the curry... maybe two spoonfuls. especially next to the masala that was drowning in curry. loved the pearl onions and amount of chicken - the spice levels are not to be played with! one of my friends ordered medium for the masala and another ordered spicy, believe me, there was a difference. absolutely love that! read more

We went to Oh! Naan for the first time to celebrate an anniversary and it was great! First: the service. Really attentive and polite waitstaff. We requested the window table which is usually reserved for larger parties but they let us have it because of our anniversary. They anticipated every need and were very quick. The food: the vegetable korma (medium) was tasty. A lot of flavor and all the vegetables were cooked really well. The chicken in the chicken masala (medium). was a little dry but the sauce was good. The garlic naan was perfect. The owner gave us a dessert on the house and seemed like a hands on owner. TBH I wasn't expecting much from an Indian restaurant on 14th St, but it turned out not bad. The restaurant is pretty spacious and nicely decorated. Price tags are understandably higher given the location. The palak chaat that we got as an appetizer was $10 and a small portion. It also was a little underseasoned and could use a bit more yogurt and chutney. We decided to go with the chicken makhani ($24) as the main and asked the server for his recommendation on the spice level and he said it's been 'Americanized'. So we went all the way to Desi Hot and it was the right decision. It's closer to a medium on my scale - I could taste the spice but not nearly unbearable. And it was delicious! It came out pipping hot, the sauce was flavorful thanks to the spice level, and the chicken was very tender. I really liked the balance of slight sweetness and tang from the tomato base. My friend, an Indian Native, said it could be more buttery. We got the bread basket on the side which came with two naans and a paratha so we had a bit of everything. Their naans were good, on the thinner side but worked well with the buttery curry. Overall, not a bad choice if you are on 14th, just you may get a better bang for your buck if you don't mind walking a few more blocks. read more

All of the curries looked the same but in different colors. All overly creamy and fully blended / processed, so there was no real texture left in anything. Palak paneer was paneer in green cream, malai kofta was the paneer koftas in yellow cream, chicken in red cream, lamb in brown cream. You get the point - doesn't need to look traditional, but some variety would be nice. The curries themselves were fine - not especially good or bad. The menu has a variety of vegan options that are clearly labeled (which I deeply appreciate). I wanted to eat something that was light but also warm. I ordered the Daal Fry which had yellow lentils, ginger garlic, Indian spices, tomatoes, and garlic. It came with a side of Indian rice. This was the meal I was looking for.
