    two bowls of food
    Sarah L.

In literal disbelief at how little fish they gave us. As I watched them scoop in my ahi tuna for my poke bowl, the scooper was practically a teaspoon and only 4 small cubes of tuna went in my bowl. This is such a ripoff and honestly I don't understand how this place is not embarrassed at this tiny amount of poke they give. They gave a lot of edamame but that does not make up for the fact that I only got 6 cubes of tuna in total. I was still really hungry after this bowl and really unhappy with how little fish they gave. So not worth your money. I'd rather go to the other poke restaurant near the PMU.

This is a good and simple place for a bite to eat. I tried it for lunch and it was pretty good. The inside is very well lit and a warm environment. Being my first time there I appreciated the server helping me through the menu and making suggestions. I got a poke bowl with a sweet donut. The bowl was pretty good, can't complain. I think since this style of food isn't popular and travel of ingredients in this area, this makes the quality a little lower but nonetheless I did enjoy the food. I would go back just for the donuts actually! Don't leave without trying one. All in all I do see myself coming here again especially if I want to switch up my lunches

Generous space for a campus restaurant

Delightful open simple atmosphere, good parking right to the partially hidden alley drive next to Dominos, and ideal location at the athletic hub of campus - definitely 100% better than any other options at this Northwestern and Stadium intersection. I know most of us Midwest critters are still suspicious of any ingredients from the sea or not stuck in boiling oil however few restaurants offer an easier way to check out real flavor! Sure sometimes a juicy burger is the only fix. For the rest of the times, I'm all for the actually nutritious stuff stuffed into a poke bowl. High protein, plenty of positive fresh carbs, good variety on a small menu to treat a range of taste buds. We weren't super hungry after doing it backwards, got dessert at Mango Mango then rolled ourselves up here. One tuna bowl took care of the ounces of appetite left after the ingredient coco crape roll at Mango Mango, definitely recommend doing this the right way: get yourself a fresh tasty poke then dessert. My sister who regularly gets take out from all the area Asian spots was full impressed with her poke. Was very fresh and easy to eat, didn't offer me much to try which was OK on my post-ube frappe weight watch for the evening. The staff here is very friendly. I like the well decorated positive vibes, accommodating for groups and solos with tables and window facing styled bar setup. We will definitely be back!

Fresh flavors and open, clean ambiance. So excited to try another poke spot in the area. The staff was friendly and the bowl yummy.

Unfortunately, my most recent experience was not as positive, and I found myself disappointed--though not due to any major issues. When I arrived at 11 a.m., right as the restaurant opened, there seemed to be adequate staff and they certainly weren't too busy to pay attention to the two tables dining at the time. I have no issue with staff taking a moment to chat, but I wish they had focused a little more on the guests who were dining. We ordered green tea, which is served in a metal teapot. The protocol is that if one person orders it, they receive the teapot, and if two people order it, they get one teapot to share. However, what surprised me was that despite finishing our tea, no one came by to offer us a refill. It would have been nice for someone to ask if we wanted more, especially given that we had finished the first pot. I also ordered the vegetable udon, hoping for a flavorful dish filled with fresh vegetables. Sadly, when it arrived, it lacked any vegetables and was quite bland. The overall taste was underwhelming, which was disappointing, as I had expected better. I pushed the plate to the side, indicating that I wouldn't be eating it. No one noticed. My plate was hardly touched, and not once did any staff member, including what I presumed to be the manager based on his demeanor, come over to inquire about my meal. He passed by my table at least three times without asking if everything was okay. I would have appreciated the opportunity to provide feedback. While I must say that everything else I tasted, aside from the udon, was delicious, the lack of attention to detail--such as not offering a refill for my tea and not inquiring about my dining experience--left me feeling neglected. It was truly disappointing to leave with an untouched plate and not a single word from the staff addressing my concerns even after we declined the offer container to take home the meal.
