I came in and they got me into the chair very quickly, even with a busy schedule, and they did my mani-pedi at the same time! They did such a beautiful job and paid attention to every detail, redoing things here and there to make sure everything was absolutely perfect. I also had a wax done by Lily, and she was SO patient and kind--I barely felt a thing! She made sure every hair was removed and even triple-checked her work. Overall, it was such a great and relaxing experience. You can really tell that quality matters here, and I never once felt rushed. I would definitely come back the next time I'm in Hawaii!

Had different technicians each time. They're all pretty good but for the first time I got Hailey. Wow she is amazing!!! I got the basic pedi ($37) and callus removal ($10). She was very thorough and detail oriented. I opted for no polish this time, and she really did her best to make my nails look as neat as possible. There was so much cuticle and dead skin removed. She also spent a good amount of time on my foot and leg massage. I have nothing but good things to say about her. Next time I'll definitely request her before I come in. The salon space was clean and well-lit. The chairs were massage chairs and they're actually decent, better than a lot of salon massage chairs I tried. I was also offered water. The basic pedicure also included quite a bit of different services and that's just basic, and I think it's more than enough. Parking could be challenging because they only have a few spots right outside the salon as the other stalls are reserved for other businesses. Some signs would specify their hours of operation so if I arrive out of those hours I would just park there. Also Sunday street parking is free. Sometimes they would send random texts for 5% off, and also discounts for birthdays. I mean it's not much but better than nothing. Great spot. I have a nail salon within walking distance from where I live but I'd rather drive to come here. Thanks Hailey!

About a year ago, I decided to trim my own hair. Let's just say... it didn't go well. The haircut was so bad that I lived with it for an entire year before finally deciding it was time to let a professional fix it. The funniest part? I even took that haircut with me on a trip to New York City... and believe it or not, no one in New York City even sneered! Teeheehee I honestly think providence brought me here. On my way to Ala Moana Center, I happened to notice Lily's Hair Salon and thought, "That's interesting. I've never noticed that place before." Just before that, I had called Macy's to make an appointment at their salon. The phone rang, but then a recording said the number was no longer in service. Since I just couldn't believe it, I went looking for the salon anyway and discovered it had actually closed during the pandemic. That discovery sure earned a surprised panda face! So, believe it or not, I made my way back to Lily's. When I first walked in, the woman at the front desk told me their hairstylist was busy and suggested I try the salon upstairs. I did, only to find they were closed. I came back downstairs and told her I didn't mind waiting about 20 minutes. While I waited, I happily took advantage of their massage chair. After physical therapy, that massage chair felt wonderful. Before long, Min Hee was ready for me. What I appreciated most was that she listened. The first thing she did after I sat down was start with an assessment and ask me what I wanted trimmed. She never once tried to convince me to cut my hair much shorter than I was comfortable with. I showed her how I like to clip my hair up while still having enough length for a little dangling ponytail, and we agreed to preserve that length while cleaning up the overall shape. She then trimmed the ends to the length I wanted, washed my hair, took another careful look at it, cut the rest, and finished with a blow dry so she could see exactly how it naturally lies. I look like Jules Y. again! LOL Now I have bangs again, my haircut is even and balanced, and my hair finally looks polished instead of like the DIY haircut I'd been trying to live with for the past year. My hair frames my face much more naturally now, the ends are clean and even, and everything blends together the way I like it. My haircut was $65. There is a $2 fee if you pay by credit card. Parking was easy, with six free stalls right in front of the salon. The salon itself isn't fancy, but it's clean, comfortable, and more than good enough. As you face the inside of the salon, the restroom is on the left in the back, where you'll also find complimentary water and snacks. Min Hee is the salon's full-time hairstylist and also provides nail services. There are two additional hairstylists who work part-time on their own schedules. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant, courteous, and genuinely helpful. They all seem to know who their customers are, so you won't get asked, "Why are you wanting to use our restroom?" That may sound like a small thing, but it contributes to the welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk in. Thank you, Min Hee, for giving me such a great haircut and a wonderful experience. I'm very happy to have found your salon on the very day I decided it was finally time to have my hair professionally cut.

I asked her when we were going to begin as we'd been waiting for 20 mins and she immediately got defensive. I responded back that all she had to do was let me know when they were planning to start rather than staring at her phone the ENTIRE time and not acknowledging at all that 3 people were waiting (my group). Not kidding, she stared at her phone looking at social media the whole time without acknowledging time. 2) there is barely any ventilation in here. It smells really strongly of polish and is terrible for you. Of course a nail salon will smell like polish, but here it's particularly bad as there's no ventilation (or hardly) 3) we had 3 pedicures where 1 was the normal $29 one and two were supposed to be the $42 one. They ended up charging us $60 rather than $42 saying they misheard and did extra massage service. I told them we'd ask for two of the same $42 ones. I was irritated at this point and just paid for the service and left. If you go here, be warned the service from that particular front desk girl is bad, the ventilation is lacking and the fumes here are carcinogenic, and be careful about your charges.

I looked for a nail salon located close to the UH Manoa campus and came upon Nail Story. Nail Story had great reviews on Yelp and I liked that I could make an appointment online. The prices of the services was also available when you make your appointment. We arrived a little before 5pm and had to wait awhile before a parking spot opened up in the lot. My daughter showed her technician the design and she was quoted an additional amount of $46. The technician then went to work and when it was time to do the design, there was a lot of back and forth as the technician had not done a sunrise shell design before. My daughter wanted it just right and asked her to redo it several times. I was surprised her technician didn't take offense, but also happy that my daughter was making sure she was getting what she wanted. The technician was great and stayed patient as she tried to replicate the design as best as she could. Finally, after what seemed like the fifth time, my daughter gave a big smile of approval. Thank goodness! | was getting hungry! My daughter loves her nails and I also had a great experience with my pedicure.

My acrylic soak off then went from $15 to 20 because I wanted to do regular polish instead. After being told that I told them I just wanted to pay for the soak off because they kept on changing the prices. She then charged me $26 for just the soak off. Do not come here super unprofessional and super rude. They also constantly changed the prices and totally ripped people off. It's extremely unsanitary in there. UPDATE Owner replied to review saying that I was lying again it was unsanitary bottle used for acetone was old and run down aswell as all of the dusting brushes, prices are not listed on the board for soak offs so no there is no upfront price for a soak off like I stated length was agreed with the tech then was cut way shorter then agreed to additionally then filed down there is the mutual understanding of the nail being filed down more after the cut for shaping but the mistake was made when the nail was cut it was cut way to short. To go from $15 to $20 to $26. I explained it would not be worth it to do my nails with gel and I'd rather do regular polish you then pulled a bottle from the shelf that was also not the color I picked and told me your not reliable if the polish chipped with is true your not I know how normal versus gel polish works. I also know that you were not kind and that you were unprofessional I wasn't obligated to get a color I did not want and as soon as I spoke up for myself you got upset. And then raised the price once again! I've looked at past reviews seems like you maybe should work on your responses and try to be a little bit more kind instead of defensive and rude. Wishing you the best!
