Best decision to go to OHAW. I've had so much pain in my feet and none of the doctors have informed me that it was arthritis. All of them diagnosed it as plantar fasciitis. I have arthritis on my lower back and in my hands. I plan to work my way up, lol. The first session will catch you off guard bc you have no idea what shock wave therapy is. TBH, it hurts like crazy. It's like a hammer pounding on your bones for 4 min. It hurts but it's better than surgery or needles. I've been to my 3rd session and already feel the difference. I came here because a few of my coworkers that had the same kind of pain swear by this place. I thought I had sciatica because the pain would go from my lower back, to hip and down the inner thigh area. Side note: I'm a cop and we work 13+ hour days. We wear a 20 pound belt around our hip all day. We are either sitting or standing for long periods of time throughout the day with a heavy ass gun belt. I've developed pain on my gun side of my hip and back area. Garrett treated me and lo and behold he said.... You don't have sciatica but your condition is treatable. I can't tell you how the technology works but I can tell you how it felt. During the treatment, it felt like someone was tapping by bones and I wanted to yell. I bit down on my shirt and started sweating profusely. The pain is temporary, trust me. Not long lingering chili pepper pain.. it's like zap pain then no pain. I don't know how to better describe it. After the treatment and the days to follow..... wow!!!! I mean wow!!! I started to actually be able to move my leg with less pain... I could actually walk "normal" again. On my second treatment, the tapping pain was less. I guess as you heal, there's no pain. So it's a good sign. He moved his little wand thing to around the area and I could tell the pain was less. I'm here for my 3rd treatment.... This should be the last one... I've tried stretchticians (not sure on spelling) which actually helped make me feel better temporarily.... I tried acupuncture, chiropractor, shiatsu, deep massages... those things did nothing for the pain I had. I had what I thought was back problems, turned out to be arthritis in my hips. Garrett attempted to treat the problem area on my back, asking if it hurt moving the device around...I said no....he did this twice and both times no pain! I first Heard about Garrett from a client of mines that had ankle issues and wasn't able to run. I was interested bc I had a 6 year injury from rolling on a nut on the ground. This injury debilitated me and I went from running 3-5 miles a day to zero. Went in to have work on my shoulder, elbow and left foot. Garret is very pleasant, clean office and clean restroom. 5 min. for my shoulder, 10 min on my elbow and 15 min on my foot. Shoulder has been bothering me for 2 years and i notice greater range of motion and no pain after treament. Arm can go straight when it hasn't for 12 years. due to calcified scar tissue in my elbow.
