The Nail Shop is conveniently located off the Mesa exit in The Promenade shopping center. This location is across Walmart Super Center, the movie theatre and restaurants. You can get some grocery shopping done, grab bite to eat and get your nails done all in the same area. The shop is open Monday-Saturday it can get very busy on the weekend so I recommend making an appointment.

We arrived within 10 minutes of our appointment and were actually the first people in the shop, so we expected our services to run smoothly. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. I paid for a Tier 3 pedicure that included callus removal and a hot stone treatment, yet my feet look almost exactly the same as when I walked in. When you pay for a service, you expect that service to actually be performed, and that simply didn't happen. The bigger issue was the overall organization of the salon. Despite having scheduled appointments, the staff allowed both walk-ins and appointments to fill the pedicure chairs without prioritizing the people who had booked ahead. By the time our nail services were finished, every pedicure chair was already taken. Two of us ultimately had to cancel the pedicures we had planned because we were told we would have to wait even longer--despite being the first appointment of the day. To make matters worse, staff members repeatedly stopped in the middle of our services to grab equipment or start other clients' services that they clearly didn't have the staff available to complete right away. When we left, several people were sitting in pedicure chairs with their feet in cold water waiting for someone to begin. This experience felt disorganized and unprofessional. Appointments should mean something, and customers who plan ahead should not be pushed aside for walk-ins. I hope the salon improves its scheduling, staffing, and service quality because today's experience was very frustrating.

I advise you make an appointment and plan to spend a while here, it is totally worth it. Most places are quick in their treatments so they can get the next customer in, even spa treatments can be rushed and a smell of nail polish remover and cloying scents permeate the air. The atmosphere a bit shadowed by the clutter of several chairs crammed together to maximize the number of clients at a time as well as the grunginess from the large number of people going in and out of the salons. Not this place! Miranda's has a small staff and they'll do everything they can so you are able to relax and be pampered. The shop is spotless and plenty of space is given between the seats for those seeking a haircut or receiving a Pedicure. The design and layout of the store is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and maximizes comfort. Once here, this is where that "spend a while here" plays into effect. They take their time so the treatment is done right and as painlessly as possible. No rushing to squeeze in more customers for more money. Country music plays in the background, just loud enough to be heard and soft enough to not be a barrage to the senses. During your treatment, they'll offer refreshments such as water, soda, or even something for a more sophisticated palette. Everything here is about keeping you, the customer, relaxed and pampered for your visit. Again, I'm severely tempted to leave a disastrous review for my own selfishness, but the staff and this little gem in the desert should be shared and this review posted.
