5 stars! Love that they have mango as a topping option. Their coconut cream sauce is clearly Thai inspired and it was SOOOOOO good. Place is modern. Only seating is some stools on the side. Service was quick and food was delicious. Great to have a real poke spot around!

I accidentally spilled my food on my pants, and the old male staff member just stood there without even offering me a napkin. All he said was, "I can remake one for you, but I have to charge you. I didn't drop it, you dropped it." Such poor service -- I'm never coming back again.

Portions are so small. Bowl was pretty much half filled. Taste good but not worth the price.

Usually we go to PokeHub (I know sacrilege to mention a competitor, but hey, full disclosure here) because it is closest to our house. We found ourselves in Sterling and poke is what she wanted. How can I say no to my DD? The decor was minimalist and clean. The service was friendly and efficient. If this was closer to us I think I would go here instead. They offer eel, yellowtail and more kinds of seaweed mix ins, which PokeHub does not. The portions are a bit smaller which is actually good so I don't feel like I am wasting food, since I can never eat the whole bowl. I did a "make your own bowl" with white rice, salmon and spicy tuna, mix ins were pineapple, jalapeño, tobiko, cucumber, seaweed and extras were seaweed salad with Shoyu sauce and spicy Mayo. It was delicious. I did wish they had not mixed the tobiko into the other stuff, but will remember to ask for it separate next time. DD got a Dragon Bowl minus edamame. She really liked hers and downed most of it. Poke is our "go to" when she is home. All in all, very solid and edged out my closer go to place.

We ordered online so it was ready when we arrived. The only issue this time is that they forgot my husband seaweed salad. We ordered a strawberry green tea and my husband got a mango lemonade - both with jelly. As per usual - this place was great and we'll likely return. Definitely recommend!

The menu was very extensive serving Japanese and Korean dishes. I started off with the Yellow Tail Collar for my appetizer. I was excited when I saw the size of the portion being served to me. Although, it was very dry which was a let down. It was also a bit bland as well. For my main dish I got a rice bowl, an unagi bowl to be exact. Again, it was just adequate. Thankfully the bowl was a generous amount of food. Sadly, it was just a bit one dimensional and I got tired of eating it after awhile. Also, I felt like the bones were a little more pronounced than what I am use to when eating eel. Therefore, my experience was average. I may give it another shot if I am in the area again.

Attached is a picture of the what the Lion King Roll is supposed to look like and what we received. The crab meat on top looks like a spaghetti. The end pieces of the roll (that didn't have the tail) were all avocado and not even a little shrimp, I know that skimping out on the ends is normal but no shrimp at all is ridiculous. After eating two pieces my stomach has been hurting for the last 7 hours. The last time we got lunch from here the rolls we normally love did not taste the same, but at least they didn't get us sick so we thought maybe it was unlucky. They need to fire whoever is making the rolls during lunch because this quality control is terrible.

However, they do a good takeout business, as we noticed several people come in to pick up their orders. Before coming here, we looked at their menu. Thus, we knew what we wanted when we got here. Service was great. The staff here is friendly and efficient. Our server checked on us more than once during our meal. To drink, my husband ordered a Kirin Light beer while I ordered a glass of plum wine. Some Japanese places fill the glass too high, but here, the portion size was reasonable. I ordered "the poke bowl". I chose salmon for my fish. This bowl consists of "Sushi-grade fish topped with vegetables, mixed with poke sauce over a choice of mixed greens or rice". I chose the rice. Before coming here, I looked up "poke sauce." I found a website called "pokebowlny.com." This is the description they gave: "traditional poke sauce blends soy sauce, sesame oil, and often rice vinegar, along with aromatics like garlic and ginger. This classic combination makes the fish taste fresher, the vegetables more vibrant, and the rice more flavorful." The vegetables in the bowl were kernel corn, seaweed salad, and cucumbers. I really enjoyed having this meal! All the flavors worked well together. I look forward to having it again. Along with the poke bowl, a bowl of miso soup is included. That, too, was quite good, and it came to the table quite warm. My husband ordered "Tuna Don," which consists of "fresh tuna sashimi over rice & vegetables. His entrée came with both miso soup and a small side salad. The bowl had a big slice of radish, some seaweed salad, and the usual shredded daikon. The wasabi was really spicy - he could feel it in his nose and sinus cavity - it'll take your head off. The generous portion of tuna was large with thicker slices than he'd ever seen before.

It was by no means packed, there were a few tables empty the duration of our meal as people ate and left. But the service was INCREDIBLY slow. They sent out an amuse-bouche which was nice- bacon and pimento in a little wonton cup. Our appetizers came out more than 30 minutes later. We ordered our son's kid's meal first, before we ordered our apps, but it came out after our entree's which was closer to 7:15. I assume the kid's meal coming out late was an awful server mistake, I can't imagine it would take over an hour to make a burger and fry up some potatoes. The chef was nice enough to let us order the octopus from the tasting menu (it was the only reason we came here, didn't realize it was part of the tasting). I almost did order the 5 course tasting menu, because it looked really good- but I'm so thankful I didn't. The table behind us was seated before us and by the time we left he was only on his third course. I'm also always cold but it was really warm in the restaurant. Not sure if their ac was broken or if it couldn't keep up with the weather. Not knocking the restaurant for this, things happen. But they probably could've used another few fans. We were the one table in the middle so the air wasn't getting to us. Not knocking the restaurant at all for this, it's a hot hot summer and things like this happen. The kid's meal portion was huge, actually bigger than my gnocchi order. We also ordered the brussels, pork ribs, seared tuna, tagliatelle, branzino, and pork chop. The pork chop was the most memorable thing. Based on this experience we wouldn't come back here on our own. We wouldn't rule it out though- if someone wanted to go here with us for any reason, we would consider giving it another shot.
