    Lion King Roll I expected
    Adam H.

BEWARE OF LUNCH. We have had dinner from here and I thought the sushi was really good. However, 2 out of the 3 times I have been here for lunch portions, look, and taste were terrible. Attached is a picture of the what the Lion King Roll is supposed to look like and what we received. The crab meat on top looks like a spaghetti. The end pieces of the roll (that didn't have the tail) were all avocado and not even a little shrimp, I know that skimping out on the ends is normal but no shrimp at all is ridiculous. After eating two pieces my stomach has been hurting for the last 7 hours. The last time we got lunch from here the rolls we normally love did not taste the same, but at least they didn't get us sick so we thought maybe it was unlucky. They need to fire whoever is making the rolls during lunch because this quality control is terrible.

Miso soup, spoon they gave me was nasty at the tip. Caked and crusty

Gave this spot a try for lunch and got the 8 piece sushi combo lunch special, takoyaki and a bowl of ramen. We wanted to order something else but the waitress was all over the place and was not paying attention to what we were saying. Sushi tasted fresh, for the 8 pieces of sushi you can't pick what you want, it's whatever the chef feels like making which is a downer. The salmon roll that came with it was meh as well. Takoyaki was ok, it was soft and a little bit crunchy but once you bite into it, the filling was ice cold. Ramen was ok, didn't really have flavor in the broth. I wanted to visit their new location in Ashburn but the hub took me here. *Hand palm to da face*

Impressive.... Ordered from here, their online menu definitely needs to be checked out...theirs pictures of everything - all the rolls, everything you can order. Ordering online was easy, with options for extras and choices. My order came at the promised time. My only complaint - there were NO CHOPSTICKS. I ordered the Salmon Crunch, 911, Crunchy Tiger, and OMG - these rolls came up most frequently in the reviews. Must say the reviews were on point ! ! I also enjoyed Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, a nice appetizer. The Crispy Squid legs were a little tough, though I did enjoy them... not an item on most sushi menus. They have combos, platters, poke bowls, Japanese and Korean dishes, and an assortment of beers, sakes, and wines. I definitely will be stopping in to enjoy the whole sushi experience which they completely cover.

I ordered the Rose roll and Tuna lover. I really enjoyed both rolls!!! I come here very often and try to switch it up every so often trying different tuna rolls on their menu. My favorite was definitely the two I got today. The spring roll was yummy and the green tea they gave me today was actually really goooood!! Especially cause I am a tea snob and I don't like cheap Lipton type of tea bags because it lacks quality. The service was good, I was the only person eating there that Sunday. They checked on me and asked if I needed anything else. The food came out very fast as well. The inside is very casual.

Rainbow Roll and Spicy Tuna with crunch

I ordered a rainbow roll and a spicy tuna roll. I asked them to add crunch (wasn't expecting that much, but just so you know, it was my choice. Both were delicious.

Came here with my wife for lunch. Service from the staff was awesome. Food-wise, meh. Among the items we ordered, the best for us was the Baked Green Mussels. The shrimp tempura was overcooked and I think they don't use the same type of flour usually used by real Japanese restaurants. The soup base of Donkotsu Ramen was diluted. With authentic ramen, you come away with a yummy sticky feeling in your mouth after drinking the soup because of the collagen melted from the bones into the soup. Worst of all, the egg served with the ramen was fully cooked instead of a still-watery egg yoke.

Always a good place for sushi! My go to spot, they definitely did one up themselves with the ashburn location to add on top of that

Did a few take outs in the past, stopped by for lunch recently. Did the lunch special with Ramen and Sushi, the sushi was fresh and the service was good. No complains to not go back!

Salmon Crunch and Philadelphia Roll Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box

Such a cozy spot to enjoy some good sushi! They have a good variety of Korean & Japanese dishes. My boyfriend and I ordered the Salmon Crunch, Philadelphia Roll, and a Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box. They brought the rolls out on this boat and I would say the presentation was spot on! All the food was delicious. I wished the Teriyaki Chicken had a bit more sauce but it was still really good and they were very generous with their portions. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely come back here!

    Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen

We went to Mr. Sushi Mrs. Roll when both our favorite & backup pho places were somehow closed at the same time. I'm glad we went! Small place with minimalist decor in a shopping center, with Korean cooking shows on tv. Comfortable though, and super fast & attentive service. Lots of carry out orders came & went while we were there. Since we were craving noodles we both ordered the spicy tonkatsu ramen and we shared a spicy tuna roll & shrimp tempura roll. The sushi was tasty & fresh but the ramen was amazing!! So flavorful & savory, spicy bordering on hot. The broth was fantastic! They serve the usual Japanese beers and soju so it's definitely Korean owned. Excellent spot for ramen!! I'll be back!!

It's okay but the sushi dishes here are very mayonnaisy based and saucy. My wife loves this place, but it's too rich tasting for me.

They have all the classic cuts of meat that you would expect at a Korean bbq restaurant in high quality and a plus is special cuts of meats that you wouldn't be able get at an average Korean bbq restaurant. Carefully seasoned meat like jumulleok (주물럭) and galbi was perfectly marinated and cook just right, it melts in your mouth. Meat was tender, juicy and rich. Is a must try! I usually don't like pork belly because some have the gamey smell and taste, but Gogi 92 pork belly tasted clean and nutty buttery. They have different types of wagyu meat. I very much enjoyed their picanha wagyu and their Australian wagyu. It paired so well with their pickled Perilla leaves and wasabi. All the meats we got were perfectly cooked and placed on a plate for us to enjoy. And cannot forget about their side dishes. I've been to too many Korean bbq restaurants that serves mediocre side dishes. Gogi 92 serves homemade side dishes that makes you feel like you are eating in Korea. You can tell that they have put a lot of thought into creating each dishes. Under new management, new improvements, and lots of delicious upgrades! They have many other dishes to try, we will be going back for more! Leesburg is lucky they have Gogi 92 in their neighborhood! I'd go eat here everyday!

From the moment we walked in, Jackie made us feel incredibly welcome. His genuine hospitality made it feel less like dining at a restaurant and more like being invited over for a traditional, home-cooked Korean meal. Having traveled and dined in Seoul many times, I really appreciated how authentic everything tasted. Every dish was freshly prepared and full of the bold flavors that I expect in Korean cuisine. One of my biggest pet peeves is when restaurants water down Tteok Bokki until it tastes like sweetened tomato paste. Gogi Go Go absolutely nailed it. The spice profile had the right amount of heat, and the rice cakes had the perfect chewy texture. The Pajeon was loaded with fresh vegetables and beautifully cooked, with a crisp exterior and tender center. The BBQ bowls have generous portions and the Bul Dak sauce was packed with flavor. Their Kimchi was delicious as well and tasted very fresh. A surprise of the night was the soy garlic wings. Since Gogi Go Go doesn't really market themselves as a Korean fried chicken restaurant, we ordered this with fairly low expectations. I definitely underestimated them. They arrived piping hot, perfectly crispy, generously coated in sauce without becoming soggy, and were well sized. They honestly rival, and in fact surpass, some of the dedicated Korean fried chicken spots we've seen come and go in the area. As someone who's a long time Ashburn resident, I remember when there were very few authentic Korean restaurants nearby, and to experience a good one meant driving to Fairfax or Centreville. It's exciting to see that changing in recent years, and Gogi Go Go is a fantastic addition. Their authentic, home-style dishes really hit the mark. There's lots of variety in the menu and you're sure to find something you'll love. The atmosphere is casual enough for an everyday meal (we had just come from the gym), yet the level of hospitality makes you feel like a welcomed guest rather than just another customer (that quality can be hard to find and truly makes this place special). Highly recommend giving this locally owned (not a chain) restaurant a try. We'll definitely be back!

However, they do a good takeout business, as we noticed several people come in to pick up their orders. Before coming here, we looked at their menu. Thus, we knew what we wanted when we got here. Service was great. The staff here is friendly and efficient. Our server checked on us more than once during our meal. To drink, my husband ordered a Kirin Light beer while I ordered a glass of plum wine. Some Japanese places fill the glass too high, but here, the portion size was reasonable. I ordered "the poke bowl". I chose salmon for my fish. This bowl consists of "Sushi-grade fish topped with vegetables, mixed with poke sauce over a choice of mixed greens or rice". I chose the rice. Before coming here, I looked up "poke sauce." I found a website called "pokebowlny.com." This is the description they gave: "traditional poke sauce blends soy sauce, sesame oil, and often rice vinegar, along with aromatics like garlic and ginger. This classic combination makes the fish taste fresher, the vegetables more vibrant, and the rice more flavorful." The vegetables in the bowl were kernel corn, seaweed salad, and cucumbers. I really enjoyed having this meal! All the flavors worked well together. I look forward to having it again. Along with the poke bowl, a bowl of miso soup is included. That, too, was quite good, and it came to the table quite warm. My husband ordered "Tuna Don," which consists of "fresh tuna sashimi over rice & vegetables. His entrée came with both miso soup and a small side salad. The bowl had a big slice of radish, some seaweed salad, and the usual shredded daikon. The wasabi was really spicy - he could feel it in his nose and sinus cavity - it'll take your head off. The generous portion of tuna was large with thicker slices than he'd ever seen before.
