This is they only salon I have ever been to that allows upgrades to expire! I've lived in three states and I still have upgrades from other salons in those states that I use when I visit... This place is just trying to get an extra buck and then hope you won't use your upgrades. I bought a few in April and I went out of town when I came in today I was told they had expired.... Annoying money down the drain. Lastly, two of the beds I use have broken doors so they don't close all the way and lock- kinda creepy. I'm not a shy gal so whatever but they've been broken for over a month and I've heard other customers asking if the can switch rooms (yes, you can - btw you need to purchase and upgrade) seems convenient or that the owner just doesn't care. I have called on several occasions just to directly let the store manager know but when I call the ladies tell me she isn't in today or she is super busy and will get back to me. I've been a member of Palm Beach Tan off and on for about 6 years now and I currently have the level two monthly plan. I have to say that you won't find a better place for this quality/price anywhere else on the west side. People seem to want to complain that they only have one level 1 bed and that they always have to wait for it to be open but they are the same people that go during the busiest hours or don't understand that the company would never make money if they didn't offer better/other options. As for lotions and other products, they have a great selection and the employees seem to know a lot about them; for the most part. I don't know if they make commission, but when I worked at a tanning salon there were bonuses and rewards for selling lotions. Plus, why wouldn't you want to share about great new products you love to use yourself. If you're like me personally, I can't afford that stuff so I politely tell them no thank you and shop elsewhere. But you can't be mad if they are just suggesting and doing their job. When it comes to their staff, I've never had issues at this location. Shawna has also been super helpful and knowledgeable every time I'm there. The employees are patient, friendly, and welcoming and they've always followed any safety requirements each time I've been there. This location is always clean and I've always felt comfortable using all tanning options. They always provide you with a fresh clean towel and sunnies for protection. Their beds are clean and I've never had issues with bulbs being out or dull. When it comes to that time of year when you don't want to use your membership, it's super easy to freeze and the monthly freeze charge goes right back to you when you restart your account! That money can be used towards tanning or products. It's seriously a win win. So, I got a bit of a burn. :( However, this staff IS NICE (just uninformative). She was patient with me and did answer any questions I had, but I guess I just didn't ask enough questions. When I first went to them, everything was fine. I got a tooth whitening and two gems. The gems lasted me about five months until one fell off, so I let them know, and they proceeded to tell me I had to go to the dentist to get them removed. I paid $50 to get it removed, but I wanted to put new gems on and it took them TWO weeks to schedule me and if it wasn't for my calling I would've never heard back from them again. I went to my appointment and got the gems just for them to FALL off the SAME day. She refused to refund me the gem if I went back and put another one back on. I came to get it fixed, and they were 10 minutes late. Another lady was with me, and they started doing her teeth first when I came there FIRST. Horrible service and horrible experience.
