But unlike book libraries, you dont borrow plants, you pick up some by trading another; a kinda swap. Sitting in a abandon self-serve carwash locals also trade planters, seeds, and other item a fellow prospective botanist would desire. Just come in and sit down items and pick others up, kinda like the small book share boxes found around the city. Even more cool and community centric the Plant Library doubles as a art gallery with multiple units feature street-ish art murals, large canvas pieces, colorfully painted building structure, and interactive community wall with witty and sophomoric writing adds a street cool to the place. The background is: the place originated by the owners of Blank Slate Coffee, the coffee truck found on its premises, but then it feel out of favor for a couple year. Then the pesty bug came and shut everything down. A resident of Gahanna, while unemployed during the pandemic lockdowns took up the hobby of gardening and found it psychologically and spiritually fulfilling. So she gain community support via Facebook and got it reopened. Of course being winter now there wasn't any plants there now. The art work still makes it a trip worth going. Which makes it nice in bad weather. in this area, you can find your miracalGro, grass seed, fertilizer birdseed, bird feeders, hummingbird as well as garden tools and seedlings. They also have custom potting. In their attached green house. The nursery is dog friendly provided the dog is well behaved and welcome in the inside and outside areas. Our dog rides around on the cart as I pick out plants. On the north side of the parking lot they also have another gift shop Inside Out. Also worth checking out. Dogs should avoid this part of Oakland Nursery. Lots of breakable stuff. Its a fun place to visit and get your plants from. Otherwise, our experience was overwhelmingly subpar for the investment. We asked for a simple front yard landscaping revamp. There were more misses than wins with the overall delivery: 1) Design proposal took longer than quoted (no big deal, I know they're busy), and was missing a key part we originally asked for (and got an "oops sorry, here's a haphazard fix"). Design still lacked some our accessory asks, but we decided to disregard those anyway. I feel as though our vision wasn't heard and believe me, I am an over-communicator. Maybe budget was an unspoken obstacle? But if so, it should have been communicated - we were flexible! 2) The install day was never scheduled, and the install team showed up unannounced without designer oversight as promised. Luckily I was able to arrange to stay home for the install. 3) We were charged for new plants, that we didn't receive. Instead they "transplanted" our dead plants that looked awful (these were the reason we were investing in new landscaping altogether). 4) Old random foliage and plants were left in our landscape (likely with intention, because they planted the new around them which threw off spacing). 5) Some plants did not take and remained weed-y, even with frequent and appropriate watering. When addressed, we were told we were not watering enough... doubt it, but ok. See photos. I'm shocked they thought this was acceptable, and didn't ask how to handle if there was question at the time of install. We ended up needing to replant about half of the overall work ourselves. Old plant concerns were remedied on our invoice, and follow-up communication was prompt from the designer at least. Won't re-engage.

She took my sample and perfectly matched a new gallon of paint to my 30 year old walls!! I thought I would need to repaint this entire section but all I did was touch up where I had patched. I could have gone to Menards or Home Depot, but I normally leave Lowe's confident because unlike the others mentioned, I get assistance. I go to my area and there is no one in or around that aisle. I see a staff member walking by and ask if he could page someone back to the garage door area. While I'm waiting I hear staff members being paged to other areas. Ok they are busy today. I continue to wait. I know what door we want but let me I find out which opener will work for us. They had two brands with three models for each. I'm looking up the power of the doors and the other features, WiFi, back up battery, keypads. I'm getting excited because my garage door opener hasn't worked in years. I continue to hear more pages overhead, but I understand that people get busy and sometimes you have call offs. I'm still gung ho that my front door will no longer be the main source of entry and shoes can be removed at the garage door. I look at my watch and realize that I've been waiting for 35 minutes. My excitement and confidence turns into annoyance. So bad that I start talking to myself. "Are telling me, I'm trying to make a big purchase and I need my husband to be taken seriously." I was on fumes!!!! I left my cart in the aisle and started walking to my car. I was pissed so my pace was fast, but on my way out the door I saw the manager's picture and telephone number so I stopped and took a picture. Oh they were going to hear from me! I got my picture and started for my car, again at a fast pace because I am boiling. I get to my car and I hear someone ask me, "Ma'am is everything okay? Did you get what you needed?" I am mad and then I'm a single woman in the parking lot, so my defense grew. Trying to increase the distance between us while trying to understand him, I know my facial expression was crazy, but he continued to defuse me. Once I focused on his face, realized that he was the young man in the picture I just took. I went from feeling ignored and not being seen to be extremely valued. He didn't have to show that much initiative. He cared like this was his personal business and his reputation was on the line. I've been in customer service all of my life. Starting as a newspaper carrier to now being a nurse. Customer service isn't what it used to be. That managers name is Yves Fortune and yes I'm posting his picture so that there is no mistake of who he is. Needless to say that he defused me and I returned and made my purchase. Robert Schobert, who was on his lunch break, took over from the young man who was trying to answer my questions. Robert was very knowledgeable and helped me to make wise decisions on my purchases.
