He came over by appointment, looked at the space, offered some suggestions and we discussed our expectations. The result was a beautiful front yard that we enjoy every single day. The compliments keep coming! Since then, we've asked him to design for the side of the house and the entrance to our back deck, as well. Dave is very easy to work with and full of information he is only too happy to share. We have not had any issues with unhealthy bushes or trees. They're all thriving. On one occasion, he switched out a shrub that was not to our taste and we're totally satisfied with the final result. He is respectful of budgets and can offer several design options within a specific budget. We're also asked him to do some mulching, pruning and fertilizing. One of his best attributes is LISTENING. Dave is creative, warm, funny and hard-working and it's a joy to recommend him for your next landscaping project!

The trend to reuse and refit urban structures that have gone to disuse has been in style for years now, mainly manifesting into mom-and-pop bistros, trendy micro breweries, or artistic spaces and gallory--mainly indy businesses that absolutely deserve our support in these harrowing times. But places like this are even more dear, as it's a place for green thumb locals to trade plants, give to fellow gardeners, and support each other for no price nor profit. A community building and solidifying center much indeed during these times. The plant library, if you are unfamiliar, is as its name suggest, a place you can get plants and other items for free. But unlike book libraries, you dont borrow plants, you pick up some by trading another; a kinda swap. Sitting in a abandon self-serve carwash locals also trade planters, seeds, and other item a fellow prospective botanist would desire. Just come in and sit down items and pick others up, kinda like the small book share boxes found around the city. Even more cool and community centric the Plant Library doubles as a art gallery with multiple units feature street-ish art murals, large canvas pieces, colorfully painted building structure, and interactive community wall with witty and sophomoric writing adds a street cool to the place. The background is: the place originated by the owners of Blank Slate Coffee, the coffee truck found on its premises, but then it feel out of favor for a couple year. Then the pesty bug came and shut everything down. A resident of Gahanna, while unemployed during the pandemic lockdowns took up the hobby of gardening and found it psychologically and spiritually fulfilling. So she gain community support via Facebook and got it reopened. Of course being winter now there wasn't any plants there now. The art work still makes it a trip worth going. I am a brown thumb though, everything alive I touch dies, lol, so I will have no use for that aspect, but it is a great place for those that can grow the greenery.

No upsells, gimics etc only honest advice from people who obviously care about plants and trees. The plant and tree selection was fantastic and it's a fun place just to walk thru. We will definitely be coming back here for all our yard and houseplant needs.

Otherwise, our experience was overwhelmingly subpar for the investment. We asked for a simple front yard landscaping revamp. There were more misses than wins with the overall delivery: 1) Design proposal took longer than quoted (no big deal, I know they're busy), and was missing a key part we originally asked for (and got an "oops sorry, here's a haphazard fix"). Design still lacked some our accessory asks, but we decided to disregard those anyway. I feel as though our vision wasn't heard and believe me, I am an over-communicator. Maybe budget was an unspoken obstacle? But if so, it should have been communicated - we were flexible! 2) The install day was never scheduled, and the install team showed up unannounced without designer oversight as promised. Luckily I was able to arrange to stay home for the install. 3) We were charged for new plants, that we didn't receive. Instead they "transplanted" our dead plants that looked awful (these were the reason we were investing in new landscaping altogether). 4) Old random foliage and plants were left in our landscape (likely with intention, because they planted the new around them which threw off spacing). 5) Some plants did not take and remained weed-y, even with frequent and appropriate watering. When addressed, we were told we were not watering enough... doubt it, but ok. See photos. I'm shocked they thought this was acceptable, and didn't ask how to handle if there was question at the time of install. We ended up needing to replant about half of the overall work ourselves. Old plant concerns were remedied on our invoice, and follow-up communication was prompt from the designer at least. Won't re-engage.

I do not know that I will be purchasing any more appliances at this location…read more I ordered a refrigerator on July 4, 2026. My refrigerator died the night before. The refrigerator couldn't be delivered until Friday July 10 - so I spent all week moving food in and out of coolers. I really needed the item to be delivered by that Friday. My delivery window comes and goes. No delivery/ no communication regarding this appliance. So I call. And I am told at that point by 'Jesse' in the delivery department that they over-booked the truck and my refrigerator 'just didn't make it'. Now what??? How is that my problem? I am not the one who overbooked the truck but I am the one dealing with the hassle of it. They now can't deliver my refrigerator for 4 more days...its set for Tuesday 7/14.... I am not happy but Jesse tells me they will credit my delivery charge. Fine...not great but I will live with it. However: 1. why am I calling the store to tell them I have no refrigerator? 2. After they are 'going to check on it' why do I have to keep calling back. Where is my 2K appliance...and why do I have to run through the communication process on this issue, waiting on hold, calling again and again? Terrible service.... So here we are at today (July 24).... I call because I do not have a credit for the delivery charge. I am hung up on 3 times by the delivery department while holding... Then on the 4th call I am on hold for 37 minutes for either someone in Delivery (specifically Jesse) or a store manager. 37 minutes. In that time I literally got in my car and DROVE ALL THE WAY TO THE STORE while still on hold for the manager. Is this how lowes does business now??? Pretty shameful. Carmen in customer service tried to find the manager...it was a no go - she was super nice about it, and obviously this isn't the first time that they can't track down management. Thank goodness for Jeanie (the supervisor in hardware) she was able to credit me the delivery charge which is great because I was prepared to die on this hill at this point. So thank you to Jeanie! I have purchased multiple appliances at this lowes, plus all of my flowers, soil, mulch... Why am I on hold for 40 minutes? Why can I literally get in my car and drive to the store and still be on hold for the manager??? Why does no one answer the phone? My issue is resolved but my time is wasted. and to wait 4 days for a refrigerator that was a booking issue with the delivery department... why does no one answer the phone or handle store issues? Why did I have to waste my time to get the credit that I was promised over their store mistake? Its ridiclulous. I should be credited for the entire freaking appliance after all of this nonsense. I am about to purchase a new diswasher...do You think I am going to this lowes??? hell no. I will go to home depot or Costco... but I am done with this store. And what is corporate doing about this??? One star review after one star review...about customer service, management and delivery's...get it together! you make too much money off of your customers to provide such terrible service. And you aren't the only hardware store in town....
