I have been to oil changers many times and always had a fine experience but this review is about my most recent experience. Upon arriving there was an empty bay and an employee waived at me to go in and said he would be right with me. He then walked away to talk with a friend. At this point I had pulled into the bay. A different employee came up to me and starting yelling at me and telling me that I shouldn't have pulled in. If I misunderstood the first employee, I accept that but the second employee went on to reprimand me 14 times (yes I counted because it was that excessive). The last time he told me to roll up my window and then came over and knocked on it to yet again reprimand me. The whole experience was extremely uncomfortable and the response felt excessive. 2 stars because they did do their job of changing the oil despite the overactive and unnecessarily repetitive employee. read more

I work throughout the work week by appts abd deadlines. This is perfect for me because I can drive up and enjoy the comfort of my car and have oil changed and my windows washed. Their prices are above average however I haven't had to ever wait longer than 10 minutes to pull my car in for service. I have been a few times and I haven't always been asked to spend more on misc services. At times they make recommendations but not forceful. These guys run a tight and professional crew, always friendly. Prices seem reasonable, they offer the usual banter about air filters but they really don't pressure. So this seems weird to write about an oil change, but this was an oil change experience unlike any other. This was my first time getting my oil change here. Unlike other places I've had my oil changed in the past, you stay in your car the entire time. My very friendly mechanic showed me my current oil level, how dirty my air filter was is in case I wanted to replace it, and the leak on the bottom my skid plate from the last mechanic who did it wrong and stripped the screw (no extra charge for the fix). You can see what oil is going in, and chat with the actual service person looking at your car, not some guy at a front desk. This place exceeded my all my expectations for an oil change. read more

The guys at the Oil Changers in Berkeley on San Pablo were all awesome. I originally came for a oil change on my truck a 2021 and the manager said he couldn't do it, come to find out because the oil cap was missing. Car dealer sold me the car with no oil cap on it SMDH ‍.... Luckily the manager was so awesome and saw I was a mom with kids and didn't want me to drive around like that. He informed me it was dangerous and not only that it would cause further damage to the car. I needed to get back home but he suggested I don't even drive like that. In the meantime he and his co-workers offered to locate the cap for me and at the nearest auto zone they needed up finding one for me. Took it upon himself to drive and pick it up for me!!! Unbelievable, talk about going above and beyond with customer service. I felt it was meant for me to go to this particular location because no one would have done that for me and sent me on my way. I'm grateful and feel blessed that they were extremely helpful and kind and not only cared about the safety of my family and I. You don't come across ppl like that these days. Paid up and pulling out at 11:42. Since my oil change only took 10 minutes, I don't know why I had to wait 30, but maybe the car in front of me had other services done? Nice guys, no upsell. Went on a Sunday morning and there was no line. As advertised, I was in and out in 15 minutes. Service technicians all wore masks, and I didnt need to exit my car. They performed the oil change, topped off all the fluids, checked the lights, added air to all my tires, (and replaced my air filter for an additional fee).
