The value was good for the price, and they cleaned it thoroughly inside and out, restored the front headlights, and made the tires SHINE. It looked like a new car. I went shopping afterwards that day, and honestly didn't recognize my car at first because it looked so good. Honestly, this shop is the best, and I'll keep coming here for my Smog, Repair, and Detailing needs. I think I first came by in 2017 with a 2000 Camry that kept overheating. This was the third or fourth place I'd taken it, and he found the problem quickly. I said something to the effect of how bad the other shops must have been, and he DEFENDED them, saying the work they did let him skip several diagnostic steps and made it easier for him to discover the problem and fix it. It was a pretty unusual issue, to be fair. They say when you find a good shop, don't let go. The service, friendliness, honestly, and prices will keep me sticking to this place like glue for years to come! I love that Jon breaks down repairs that are "Do Now" versus "Do Soon" with estimates, and makes sure the vehicle is roadworthy.

I headed over with my old 1998 Volvo at around 10:45 on a Thursday. When I came in I was told it might be 11/2 hours before my car would be done, especially since I had an older car that generally takes longer. As I was at the counter I felt something pressing against my leg. It was the owner's dog. After greeting me he returned to laying down next to the counter. The other two customers who arrived after me didn't get the canine greeting. I feel special. Before I knew it, my car was done, it only took 1/2 hour. It costs $10 more to smog check an older car so my total was $95. Oh, and my car passed. I'll be back in 2 years as I intend to keep my old reliable car.

I let them know and their owner's response was tremendous - they cleaned everything, checked all the oil levels, and were extremely personable and generous with their response. We can't expect everything to be done perfectly, but businesses can always control their response to an issue. They responded wonderfully and won my future business.

I am a first time car owner and am very lacking in knowledge about cars and what I need to do when it comes to fixing them. Despite a multitude of issues with my car, Bob was super patient with me and took time explaining the process and his recommendations for my vehicle. He made it clear that helping me was a priority which I really appreciated. Bob made me feel really valued as a customer and reassured me that my own choices were the most important (even if my choice was stupid haha). Overall, super friendly and helped mitigate the stress from my car not being functional. Thank you to Bob!! Such friendly and wonderful service. He really knows his stuff. I also checked with reddit and many people suggested Vander Hamm instead of hanlee toyota or Aaa, as someone sometimes in the car industry I'm picky about the Quality of work and a professional transaction. I called them from Torrance CA a week ahead & arranged to show up 4/24 and I ended up coming an hour early and they squeezed me in, I dealt with Blane White and he was professional on the phone and in person, the car was dropped off around 9am and finished at 1030am exactly as promised, and they gave it a good once over and quoted me on replacing the Tpms sensors for 110$ each, which is reasonable, as the dealer wanted 250-300 each sensor, so I will definitely consider it. Great place super professional and honest and there's no drama. Highly recommend, and make an appointment as it's a busy place.

We finally decided to do it but he finds out that the seal kit for that AC unit is unavailable--too old! Erik thinks he might have one at the other shop--but it will take a day or two for him to find it. No worries! He finds it and fixed it for under $200 and doesn't charge me for the parts since he already had them!
