The coupon ended up to be worth only $2 because they tacked on at the end of the bill another $5 for a skid plate removal....undisclosed that they would be charging extra. I had seen the negative reviews of Spokane Quick Lube, but I was in the neighborhood, and my car needed an oil change, so how bad could it be. Pretty bad is the answer. I chose to sit in my car while they went through the process, and remarked to my wife that they were a pretty unprofessional bunch, kind of a "Keystone Kops" group. Even the senior person seemed like he was only half there. I decided when I left that I wouldn't be back. Today I got to see the rest of the story. After we arrived home I found a puddle of oil on the garage floor. I was able to get the car into the local garage and discovered the oil filter had not been tightened, and we were blowing oil all over the bottom of the car. Enter at your own risk. I am a customer who has going here for years, and as of now will no longer go again. I waited in the lobby and the man said "you have a rock chip in your window, its free for us to fix it" i agreed and said go ahead, double clarifying that it is free, and he said yes and then asked to see my insurance. Which i thought was odd. I went on and paid for my oil change with no issues or extra charges. Then, a week later i get a message from my insurance that a file has been claimed fixing a rock chip repair, and that i now owe this company 108 dollars. On Saturday I brought my jeep in to get an oil change. While I was there I noticed the flag being flown outside your building was dingy, worn and tattered. I brought it up to the attention of your employees and informed them that I would be contacting management or the owner about the either lazy or disrespectful way the flag is being flown. Today I called to see if I could talk to either the owner or manager and was informed that the subject of the flag has been brought up before and that it wasn't important. Myself I feel it is very important. I served in the army for 18 years, deployed 3 times to combat zones as well as several other locations across the world wearing that flag on my shoulder and carrying one in my pack. As of today I have watched the flag draped caskets of over 100 service members be carried to their final resting place. Over 100 families be presented that same flag folded up as a final respect to the family. So let me tell you it is very important to myself and a large population in Spokane as well. If it is a case of you not wanting to spend the money to replace it I understand. If it is a case of laziness in replacing it, I can understand how inconvenient taking 10 minutes and a phone call to a boy scout troop to properly dispose of it is. I went in with a $19.99 basic oil change coupon that they emailed to me directly and they refused to honor it. It had not expired yet, but they said the owner told all the store to remove the basic oil change service, therefore rendering the coupon useless. Don't do business with this dishonorable business. I paid money for an oil change and they asked if I wanted to replace a filter. Said yes. Drove out of there and my car wouldn't accelorate (was on freeway). I made it back, but they weren't able to repair anything, and I had to be towed to the dealership to repair my car - at a cost of over $400 + the tow fee + my time lost. They did not reach out to me to find out how it went. I was really in a depressed state, so wasn't able to reach back out to them in a timely manner, a fact they used to deny me any reparations. I know they had met as a business to discuss NOT replacing filters on my car (Nissan Rogue Sport) - due to heightened sensitivity. Yet, they didn't do the right thing by me. Also looks like they billed 2x for a rock chip repair - currently having to deal with my insurance co. to get rid of multiple claims on my account, resulting in increased premium. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. My brother brought his car in for an oil change and transmission fluid flush, he drove away and his car completely overheated, there was coolant spraying everywhere under the hood. We let it cool off an realized that someone had leaned onto the radiator and broke off the clip that holds it in place, we also realized that the coolant was spraying from the hose where THEY BROKE OFF THE HOSE FITTING FROM THE RADIATOR. CLEARLY someone laid across it or put there elbow onto it. Absolutely unbelievable. THEY SAID NOTHING TO MY BROTHER, they had him sign a receipt and he went on his way. Once he noticed the problem he called the shop and got the complete run around, they said they had noted that the hose came in cracked... But the car came in running with no issues. We have tried calling the manager several times with no response. Unbelievable. read more

Well, at least I am not a complete idiot. Last oil change, they wanted $50 to change my "cabin air filter" and SHOWED ME A DIRTY ONE they claimed was mine. I told them no -- I can change air filters. So I bought the filter from auto parts place (noting that not every model of my vehicle had them), watched a YouTube video, and then couldn't find the place to install it. Where the filter was supposed to be, I had a flat wall. Today, I went to a different oil change place (Oil Can Henry's), and asked them to install the filter while I was there. Guess what???? My van DOES NOT HAVE a cabin air filter. AVOID Spokane Quick Lube. Grrr. read more

I had been taking my vehicles here for years. But when I took in my newest vehicle last year, I told them right away I just wanted an oil change and nothing else. Got a phone call from them a few minutes later, as I was having a quick lunch next door. They told me that my transmission fluid looked good but recommended that I change it. I said that all I wanted was an oil change, no thanks. Along with this was a laundry list of items they wanted to up sell me on, which I refused. Jump ahead a few months and my car starts punching my gear shift out of gear and finally blows my transmission. I took it to a mechanic that is highly regarded for working on Hondas. He said that the reason the transmission had blown was that the plug was left out and all of the fluid had run out. The only place that I had taken this vehicle is Spokane Quick Lube on Division. The vehicle was new so I doubt that I had bought it without a plug. I am a big guy so you would never catch me under my car. I highly doubt that there is a spree of people out prowling cars for transmission plugs. Long story short it cost me a hefty sum and I got my insurance company to help. After almost a year of them try to get Spokane Quick Lube to cooperate, with plenty of hang ups when trying to contact, to saying they don't care, to saying that they are working with their insurance; my insurance company said that it would be too hard to prove negligence. They had to close my file. So now I am out my deductible and my insurance company is out their money. Bottom line, if Spokane Quick Lube messes up on your car, don't expect them to care at all for their customers. They are out to make a buck and a quick one at that. read more

I saw a coupon online for money off of a oil change. I went to the location on Francis. When I arrived they asked me what I was there for. They did a quick check of the car and led me outside to show me a filter which he recommended be changed I asked if it was necessary and he rudely said it was and explained why. I said okay go ahead and do it. He then said it's going to be a pain to get out, but I will do it. So then recommended that the engine be flushed due to moisture. He showed me some cap that was supposed to prove that. I asked if it was important, and he said it's recommended every 30k miles, then had to ask the other guy why it was needed. The other man rudely told me that it's bad for the engine and it's not lubricated correctly. Okay fine do that too. 25 mins later he comes and let's me know that he didn't have the correct tool to change the filter. Someone had taken it. So he lets me know my total and I pay. I ask if my tires had been checked. He said I'm sure they were. And I said okay well the light had been on they were low. So he runs out to the other person who is driving my car out and yells tires! So they then fill them up. I left feeling taken advantage of, and unsure if anything they did was necessary. As I drove west in Francis I saw the jiffy lube. I decided to stop in and see if they would replace the filter for me. They kindly replaced it and told me there is no manufacturer recommendation on a engine flush. They replaced my filter without any tool or problem, cleaned my windows and didn't charge me a thing. DO NOT GO TO SPOKANE OIL CHANGE! Jiffy lube has earned my business from here in out! read more

Took my daughters car in for oil change and they try upselling everything. News to then I'm a mechanic and didn't have time to change oil for her. Everything they try up selling did t need to. Ne fixed and then to add to it they put a tranny filler o. For oil filter. Urs it will work but much smaller filter so it doesn't keep oil as clean. They never rest millage indicator or put a sticker in her window to allow her to know next oil change. They try to take advantage of her and it didn't work. Be careful people and make sure you get what your paying for. They try cheating out with wrong filters all the time. Better to go to an actual mechanic for oil changes and car repair and let that mechanic do all maintenance of vehicle for you not some shop that hires anyone to work on your vehicle with knowledge!!! read more

Quick Lube at the Division and Ruby Y advertises a twenty dollar oil change but always tries to upsell additional repairs. It is a classic bait and switch scheme. I let my guard down last time I was in and agreed to premium service because I was told I needed antifreeze, but they did not add antifreeze, or any fluids for the six dollar change. I was also told my PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve was clogged, so I let them replaced my OEM PCV valve with a cheap two dollar aftermarket valve for twenty bucks. When, I checked the original OEM valve, it worked fine. I was told my fan belts were bad, but knew I had replaced then the previous fall, and decided it was time to say no. So, Quick Lube employees lie about the condition of the car to get add-on work, then over-change for unneeded work using poor quality replacement parts. I would highly recommend you take any of their recommended repairs to get a second opinion, and only use an honest experience mechanic that uses good quality parts. I will never go to Quick Lube, ever again. I can't imagine how much they take advantage of the female customers. They capitalize on busy trusting customers by offering an inexpensive oil change with no real intention of honoring that service. They are dishonest. read more

I was not in the day she said I was and none of those statements apply to my vehicle or service so she obviously was not "able to pull my invoice". They said I really needed a transmission and radiator fluid change even though I already had those services done elsewhere. The hood tech popped a hot radiator without warning his pit man. The hood man failed to make visual contact during final safety inspection. Pit man failed to perform final safety inspection. Drain plug fell out the next day and polluted the streets with 6 quarts of oil. Other than these minor failures of performance, this was a typical Spokane circus act. Fortunately I am aware of how Spokane operates and pulled over at the first flicker of the oil pressure warning light. My advise is to watch them like a hawk. edit: Thanks to a couple of free oil changes and another half dozen successful services I have raised my rating from 1 to 2 stars, but there is still only mediocre professionalism. Talking with some of the other customers we noted a rapid turnover in staff which would go a long way in explaining the quality lapses. edit: I just completed another successful service and have started to notice more improvements in the staff and the way that management recognizes staff. This business is improving in their quality of service and the prices are remaining reasonable, so I am once again raising them in my estimation now to 3 stars. Keep up the good work and you will be able to live down that one really bad experience. read more

I took my car in for an oil change. It took longer than most places I've gone to. When I was done, I went about my life. In the evening, I noticed the engine making noises, so I pulled over and found that my dipstick was bone dry. I put more oil in, and sure enough, after an hour or so, it drained out. I did some inspections and concluded that the oil plug gasket wasn't on properly. They're closed Sundays, so as a result, I am missing a day of work (as an uber driver) I'll never use these people again. read more

DO NOT HAVE YOUR A/C serviced at the location on 30th. I can't speak for the other locations. Here's the hustle: You ask for an air conditioning recharge. Employee explains that first there is a $39.99 inspection fee to determine whether or not the system itself works and simply needs a recharge. If that turns out to be the case, the $39.99 (which is really $43.55) will be deducted from the price of the recharge. AFTER the system inspection, the employee checks a number on a sticker which is pasted to the underside of the car's hood. That number needs to match the one on Quick Lube's recharging equipment -- but wait! The number on your car doesn't match, so the employee tells you to step into the office to cash out. You pay $43.55 when you should have paid ZERO. All the employee had to do was START by lifting the hood and checking the number. If that had happened, this review would have been quite different. BTW, some of the employees were smoking pot behind the shop, and I'm not thrilled at the prospect of having my car worked on by someone who is high. GRRR! read more
