The worker directed me to a lane while I watched 3 other cars that arrived after me get serviced before me. *I recommend checking out the speed of each worker, line up at which one you think will be quicker, and stay put. 4/12/2026 around noon I went to the Oil Changer at 794 Admiral Callaghan Ln, Vallejo. My background is I own Bay Marine Diesel, I have been a fulltime mechanic since 1974. Normally I perform my own oil changes, it's been a busy month, last minute kind jesture on my wifes birthday, I decided to help her with the oil change of her 2020 Subaru Forester 9HEY729. Aproach in the left service stall, I told the above ground tech taking my information, that I am a mechanic. I have done the oil change on this vehicle since new, the oil drain plug is in a difficult spot, in a hole in the underbody ground effects OEM pan by the header pipe, it's very hot, please be careful. He totally disregarded everything I told him, did not relay this information to the guy below in the pit. I told him several times. From the pit, I heard an impact gun being used, unmistakable sound when one turns the selector switch to the wrong direction, to tighten rather than losen the bolt, he had the wrong bolt and I knew it, I heard at least 5 other bolts being attempted, they told me it was the wrong cover plate. Next they were pumping fluid into my car from below, below mind you. I was told the assistant service manager would talk to me, the guy who later identified himself to me only after I asked who he was, said they had mistakenly drained the transmission, but its ok, they put oil back in, I have no idea if they put in the correct fluid or if they put it in the correct place. I talked to the above-ground technician, who made it clearly he know his job, had no reason to talk to the pit technician, " HE KNOWS HIS JOB" I replied, obviously NOT., this is the reason I'm telling you this. The whole time I'm hearing the impact gun rattle and sockets slip and strip bolt heads, I know this sound, I've been there before when sockets don't hold, when not put squarely on the bolt head and it spins free stripping the bolt head. No one in the automotive industry ever used an impact gun for fear of stripping bolts or damaging oil pans. The assistant manager said he would give me a 25 % discount, I said, do you really expect me to pay for this? He said, Yes. He was standing 2 feet away from my car, I said, I'm leaving. Next thing I know, he dives to the rear of the car screaming I ran over his foot, what cheap theatrics. Standing two feet away from the side of my car, he would have to intentionally jam his foot under the wheel, I told them this car is special, now because of what they have done, I have to pay Subaru to put it on the lift, inspect for damages, replace all suspect fluids and repair all damages caused by this oil change station. I have filed a complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair. read more

About 3 months ago I brought my car to Oil Changers Vallejo. When the service was done and they went to ring me up I pointed out that they did not change the oil filter. I know this because the oil filter is changed from the top of the engine and I watched and no one did it. The manager conceded and changed the filter himself. Flash forward 3 months and I took my car in to a local shop specializing in Mercedes and they let me know that the engine oil plastic drip tray was not installed. I know for a fact that the car had one. So not only did Oil Changers not change my filter during my service, the guy in the pit did not reinstall the tray that needed to be removed to get to the oil drain plug. This sucks!!! Don't go here if you can avoid it. read more

My coworker recently visited this location for an oil change and had a disappointing experience. The staff member she dealt with had a poor attitude and tried to upsell her on several unnecessary services. She also had a coupon they refused to honor, and instead made it seem like they were doing her a favor by using a different one. Today, I called to get information about an oil change for my own car, and unfortunately, the experience wasn't any better. The person I spoke with sounded frustrated and impatient -- I must have asked the "wrong" question about my oil, and the response I got was far from friendly or helpful. I work in customer service myself, so I understand that people can have tough days -- but how you treat customers matters. Based on these experiences, I won't be recommending this location, even when it comes to servicing our company fleet. read more

They're more concerned with asking if your car is for sale rather than doing their job. Left my oil cap OPEN. Didn't screw on the cover to my engine causing damage to my fan. Still have the audacity to charge $140+. My husband also took his car here and they FORGOT TO FILL THE OIL BACK UP. I'll never come back here. I brought my own oil and they still tried to charge me for using their oil. Not only that, they said my bolt was dirty and charged me extra money to clean it off and change my oil. I don't know if that's normal but I've dealt with cars for over 20 years and never heard of that. They lost a customer for life over a "dirty bolt". read more
