Dropped off my vehicle, the front desk staff was friendly and cordial. They assured me that they could do the work. Unfortunately their alignment machine was not working at 100%, and I needed it for my service. They told me they could make it work. After they installed my part, I drove off, thinking everything was fine (car wasn't pulling). A few months later, I had bald tires. I took it back, and they couldn't help me unless I brought the car back with new tires. If I'm going to buy new tires, I am not taking MORE time to go to another shop, so I got everything done at a tire and alignment shop. I got my alignment readings and confirmed the alignment was bad. Needed routine 100k mile maintenance on my Honda Fit. Called several other well-reviewed mechanics in town. None were willing to do a valve lash adjustment even though it was one of the items on the maintenance minder and a known issue with Honda Fits. Javier was the only mechanic who recognized that a valve lash adjustment was important even if the engine was not chattering. He listened and took notes as I listed off a few other things I wanted him to inspect and do. My vehicle was inspected and tuned up in a day. His team would have finished sooner but he knew he had to wait overnight for the engine to completely cool down to do a proper valve lash adjustment. After the valve lash adjustment, my gas mileage went up ~3 mpg and the engine feels less sluggish. Cost wise, Javier's quote for the work was much better than the Honda dealership, which was the only other place I found that was willing to do the valve lash adjustment. Final cost was actually less than the initial estimate because he deducted the cost of some OEM parts I gave him to use. In the past, I've done nearly all of the maintenance on my vehicle myself because I never met a mechanic I trusted. They all seemed impatient, inattentive, unwilling to listen, unwilling to do the work requested, and/or lacking knowledge about my specific vehicle. You've probably met several mechanics like this if you're on Yelp shopping for a mechanic and reading this review. Normally I would take my car to the dealer for repairs. My 2017 Honda Accord lost power while driving on the freeway. All of the dash warning lights turned on. Took my car to Honesty Automotive. Javier and his team did an excellent job in diagnosing the problem and quickly repairing the car. Turned out it was a faulty high pressure fuel pump. Don't take your car here. Wish I could give negative stars. Can't Fix anything right, wouldn't answer my questions about what was wrong with my car I was promised that it was only two things and then it turned into five other things costing me $1500 . They never called me when there was a problem to tell me that there was a problem they continued to work on it without me knowing that there was a problem which resulted in costing me more money. Had to get my car towed from the shop to the dealership just to find out that what they tried to fix on my car was done wrong. So much for honesty when you can't even fix the car right and be honest that you can't fix it. Plus my car was a complete mess when it left the shop it was washed and cleaned out before entering the shop and when it came out it was covered in nasty sap and a bunch of shit all over it. read more

I had an AC issue with my car. they said the compressor needed to be replaced and cost me $1,700. 2 weeks later Same issue, hot air instead of cold air, brought my car back, they said that they put another new compressor.. about 3 weeks later same problem. Went back again and they said same thing-- that they put a new compressor because the first 2 compressors were leaking... A month later, problem persist. It was never fixed. Should i go back? We had brake issues with our van coming down from the Sierra Nevada's and were looking for a mechanic that had availability on a Friday which, in Fresno, is apparently nearly impossible. We called 8 mechanics who were already booked for the entire day, and a couple who were really rude. These guys happened to have some time to take a look at our issue and seemed genuinely concerned about us being stranded in Fresno if we were unable to have the issue resolved. The younger guy on the phone was insanely sympathetic of our concerns about the brakes and the owner was just as nice and welcoming once we arrived. They had a really clean waiting room, coffee and no annoying, blaring tv or music. They diagnosed the issue quickly and determined it wasn't as bad as we thought, thoroughly explained the problem to us and the resolution was a cheap repair. This place doesn't even deserve a star. Was hopeful to use them for future repairs, but that sure ain't going to happen here. Took my car for an alignment. Dropped it off to have them work on it the next day. I get a call that it's done and the clutch goes all the way to the bottom. They asked me how long have I been driving with the clutch like that. I told them the day I dropped it of that I replaced the clutch and have been driving for weeks before bringing it in. I also did other repairs prior to needing an alignment. Alignment was the last thing I needed. Therefore, I never had an issue with the clutch and "I drove it there to the shop with no issues.". No fucking issues. I didn't go there for a clutch problem, I went there for an alignment. Sure enough, when I got in my car and pressed on the clutch, it dropped. Went back in to tell them that they fucked it up and to have them replace it. From there, I just got some bull shit story they made up. If there was a clutch problem, they would have called me when they moved my car into the shop that afternoon when I dropped it off. Javier, you don't have to lie about it that the person working on my car decide to gun my car. Your red face told it all and your body language expressed it. There's no "Honesty" with your service. Remember, I came there for an alignment and I called for it, I didn't go there for a clutch problem or any other repairs. I knew something was wrong when Jesse started asking about my clutch. Honesty Automotive fucked up and still will not fix it. Poor service here. Dennis Auto Repair will always be my go to place from here on. read more

This is the spot to go. Had went to another franchise location in Fresno about a strange noise my wife's car was making. They told me that I needed new struts and we're going to charge about 1k to do it. Something didn't feel quiet right though, I was the only car there for the about 2 hours it took them to change the oil and look into the noise. So I decided to get another opinion and had heard good things about Honesty. I took the car here, told them the problem I had and asked them to give me their opinion. Got a call saying that the shocks / struts were in pretty good shape, but what was causing the noise was a bearing that went out - a fix that was about $100.
