They ruined my wool sweater by washing it until it became stiff, and they also left mysterious stains on my $1,000 hoodie, making it completely unwearable. When I brought it to their attention, they refused to take responsibility or acknowledge that they had caused the damage. It was incredibly frustrating. The previous owners were an elderly Taiwanese couple who provided excellent service and did a great job with dry cleaning. They always charged customers when the clothes were picked up. About a year ago, they sold the business to a younger couple. Since then, they've changed the policy to requiring payment before cleaning. In my opinion, this leaves customers with little protection if their clothes are damaged. Just look at the recent reviews. There are many one-star ratings, including from customers who had been coming here for 10 or even 20 years. If you have valuable or sentimental clothing, I strongly recommend taking it somewhere else. First of all, I took a brand new White Goose Down comforter which is worth $200 for dry cleaning. Left there for a week and came back with a completely WET comforter with terrible smell! I told the owner that the White Goose down should NEVER touch water and they ruined my comforter completely. I brought up compensation and the owner told me to come back next week after he spoke to the outsourced cleaning company. I came back today and the owner explained that was dry cleaning detergent caused it was wet and it has been fixed now. That is a total LIE! I can clearly see signs of water mark and the filling is completely different. They even removed some stitches, which I highly doubt that they tried to cover up with other fillings. So I requested compensation again. He refused and said just sue them and I will never win. This is outrageous! Then I asked him at least to refund the dry cleaning fee which is $40. He refused again and said that was unfortunate for him either. This is an unprofessional company with no trust at all.
