(Note: none of the remaining bolts were seized) There was no contact from either shop after that point - I had to call (at the end of the day) to find out that the work wasn't complete. Phil and his guys are completely unprofessional, have zero customer service skills, awful attitudes - and CCA was just as bad. I would not recommend either place to a toddler looking to change a bolt on a hot wheels car. 100% Avoid. This. Shop.

When I questioned the price of the labour he did not sound inexperienced in quipping back, "Oh, that's an algorithm. I don't know why it does that. I'll fix that" and he brought the price down. If this is an algorithm, the implication was that his system is set up to do this EVERY time. ONLY if the customer complains he will manually correct the algorithm! Also, it was pretty certain we knew what the problem was when we brought it in but they still had to charge a whole inspection fee and labour? I don't know of other mechanics that do that when the problem is not difficult to diagnose. No wonder mechanics get a bad rep and I could get into this place at the drop of a hat when my trusted mechanic was unwell, and that the a place like Econolube with 5 star ratings couldn't get me in for 2 weeks.

The gentleman on the phone had quoted us a price and told us that it should only take about 30min to complete the work. So off my wonderful son went... and sure enough they took the car in right away and had it fixed in the alloted time frame and CHEAPER than quoted! Woohoo! Gotta love that! I had a terrible experience at Lube City, I had a fuel filter changed on my diesel. I was in the…read moreshop for four hours, and a tow truck had to haul my truck to the dealership to get it fixed. They claimed the problem was with my truck, which the dealership said it was from the improper install. So I talked to the manager of the Lube City and he would not refund my money from the oil change or the bill from the dealership. I had to talk to their Vice president and threaten to put a write up in the Stony Plain reporter before he would even call the dealership. After he called the dealership he finally agreed to refund my money. I would not recommend Lube City to anyone I know. They talk about there warranty, if anything goes wrong, but if it does they just blame it on something else so they are not responsible. I hope they close the doors on this business, if this is how they are going to operate.
