My mother got winter tires here and they offered storage for the summer tires. When my mom went to have the summer ones put back on, they 'couldn't find them' and offered no reasons why they were missing, and offered no compensation for the missing tires. The person she talked to also seemed to not really care either and was unprofessional. If you do buy tires from here, take your others home so they don't 'lose' them. read more

I purchased winter tires and steelies here 2-3 years ago because they offered the best price I could find, and I called a LOT of places. The fellows behind the desk are always very pleasant, even when they are slammed. They charge a reasonable price for storage of my off season tires and get my car in and out in reasonable time for my booked appointments. There was a part I thought my car needed this past winter for the undercarriage, they brought it in but didn't sell it to me because they said I didn't need it so why spend the money? I appreciate the honesty as my mechanical knowledge is lacking Today as I brought my car in to have my summer tires put back on, the one fellow even remembered I worked nights and I hadn't seen him in 6 months. Honest, trustworthy, accurate. I've been wanting to write this review for a while. The team at Trail tire is seasoned. The same gents have been servicing my beloved SUV since 2010. On this visit I went in for an air conditioning quote. I had my AC canisters charged last summer. The AC canisters lost their charge within a week. Which meant HOT AIR would blow out! This work was not performed by trail tires, and I went the entire Summer nearly dying of car induced heat stroke (A slight exaggeration, but NO AC in a prairie summer is awful) I explained I was confident there must be a hole somewhere because of my previous experience. I was given my options. basic charge cost & some what if scenarios ..... When I asked based on my situation would the tech go forward with service based On my model of vehicle, the cost if I had to replace my entire AC UNIT Ie: If there was a hole it 'could' cost $1,500 -$5,000. Understand I was pretty darn sure there was a hole there's not too many reasons a charge would leak. He was Very honest and said the best thing to do was to get the vehicle up on a hoist to have a look. They will call me if anything left out of the ordinary and at that point it would just be a basic charge of $120. If everything looked great they would move forward with recharging my air conditioning and inserting a dye, which would show us if there was a leak and where the leak was. From there if there was a leak it would be my choice if I would want to move forward with the repair. The technician said for the cost replacing the whole air conditioning unit was extremely costly and in his view he told me to save my my money. I have received this honest, we are not going to take your money just to take your money response to other repairs and I couldn't appreciate their integrity more. All service I've had completed with Trail Tire over the past 8 years has been GREAT! The issue has been repaired and I've not returned for further service on the same issue. Pricing is fair and services done in a timely manner. I dropped my vehicle off that morning 8 AM to have the repair complete and the vehicle was back to me by 3 PM. The end cost was $188 ~ icy cold AC on a hot day! So far NO LEAK! This is a busy shop, be realistic with wait times when dropping your vehicle off. As a non car enthusiast, I appreciate how comfortable I am dropping my vehicle off at the shop knowing I will get the best service for a fair rate! ~ UPDATE ~ The AC did not lose it charge !! Took vehicle in for an alignment and was assured mechanic would do a professional job. Paid $170 and all the mechanic did was adjust the tow in the front. The rear toe was out of spec according to the printout I received and no other adjustments were made on the vehicle. Took paperwork to two other shops and they explained I should have only been charged for a toe setting which would've been a fraction of the cost. Feel very ripped off will not be returning.PS. Was also charged $12 for shop supplies and none were used talk about a slaughter. read more

My elderly Mother took her car in for a minor repair. After they "Fixed it" they charged her a little over $600, and told her a strut was broken and needed repair for a further $1400. 2 days after the "repair", the same part stopped working. she took it back, it worked for part of one day, and then stopped working again. When contacted, they then claimed they could not get the part for replacement, and did not refund a red cent. I then took the car to a much better shop, They had it all 100% fixed within 24 hours, and never mentioned the "broken strut" after their inspection. Properly repaired, for under $400. Tesla Model S. As part of the very active Tesla community, we heard about this story, even here in California. It was also talked about at this weekend's Tesla conference. The staff from this shop took the car on a joyride and tried a 0-60 launch. Some technicians also tried to open a secured compartment that was locked for the owner's privacy when in valet mode. The shop didn't know about the dash cam looks like. Let me tell you a tale of the heroes at trail tire. After my journey blew a tire and had to be towed tot heir location, i had chosen them because they are a good neighbor of mine. I could not remove the tire my self as I had the most secure impenetrable lock nuts this world had ever seen. I couldn't even get them off. mostly because i lose the locking bolt, they were the special spinny kind so after my tire blue and i filled it with several types of goo to attempt a quick fix i took it to these brave men. There it was lop sided and leaking various green and white liquids from a destroyed tire with no way to remove it, they took it in that morning and by 2pm they are is all don't old dead goo leaky tires removed and fresh ones put on they said i should replace both front tires and it seemed legit so i said yeah go for it they even took off all my other lock nuts i asked that they lock nuts be sent to hell i'm not sure if they obliged. either way was only about 400 for the whole thing and they saved my wheels so huraa to you trail tire huraaa read more

Have now purchased four or five set of tires from Trail Tire and all experiences have been great. Competitive pricing and pleasant folks as well that you can trust. I also used to take my truck there as well to have it serviced and I can't say enough about the honesty they deliver. Go figure I thought I needed some work done and in fact I did not and was a simple tiny fix they did for 10 bucks. Customer for life. They could have definitely listened to my buying signals better as I would have most likely bought new rims all fancy shmansy and such and performance tires to make my ride stand out but lack of information or insight did not hit my trigger. Happy none the same. I agree no shuttle but seriously no mechanic has a shuttle other than auto dealers period. Also there is a nice waiting area with couches and television. Also coffee to drink and complimentary papers to read. I think more than satisfactory indeed and close to a five. Good job. read more

They don't stand behind the manufacturer's warranty. Monroe has a lifetime warranty, Trail only gives one year and then they fibbed (twice) to support declining the warranty. I was a client for 15 years (three vehicles plus trailer) but never again. Stay away from Trail Tire! read more

I don't recommend. A few years ago they didn't complete all the services that I paid for. When I questioned them on it, there was quite a defensive, hostile reaction. I've seen them refuse to help people with simplest tasks. I know that's no crime, but so unfriendly and cold. read more

Awesome customer service I called on Friday November 1st and was told I could drop off my vehicle on Saturday and it would be done by 4 the man said to drop it off at 8 am I said I wasn't able to until 11 and he said no problem I dropped it off at 11 am it was complete by two! Aside from being a bit pricey for my tires they will last a long time I am so pleased with the customer service all the staff were very friendly read more

Customer service from front counter staff is inconsistent and disorganized, eg. Forgetting to order parts for appointment booked a week ago, then spending half an hour trying to figure out where the part is that they did not order. They communicate poorly, don't call with updates, don't respect requests to have it done at end of day though they agree it won't be a problem. One fellow is quite flippant & condescending on the phone. Extra annoying when they've screwed things up, costing you time out of your busy schedule and taking forever to get themselves together. The mechanics do good work if you get past the fools at the front counter. Not sure it's worth the pain in the butt though. read more
