Since we were from Spokane, WA., and needed to get home, this was impractical. The next day we went to visit Mike Schmidt at 17108 107 Ave., and he said they would review the tire situation. Costco had already replaced the regular tire with the spare donut. This they did, and in a few hours, had it fixed "to industry standards" and we were on our way back to Spokane. No problems since. Kudos to Mike and crew. We could not have been happier with their attention and service.

I had an appointment for 8 a.m. to get my tires swapped over. Everyone else, literally at least 10 people had an 8 a.m. appointment to. I managed to luckily be the first in line. After waiting 45 minutes, I was told "We can't put your winter tires on". I've never heard of such a thing. They said one was a dot 2010 and so I needed 3 new tires. I asked them to show me the law that said you had to replace your tires. They could not...because there is NO SUCH THING! They made this up in order to sell me tires. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE SCAM ARTISTS AGAIN! One day, someone will sue them for bait and switch which is a Anti Trust law violation and making up laws that don't exist. Don't waste your time here. I went to a small independant garage the same day, had my tires switched over (they aren't on rims") for $90 and they were done in 40 minutes. Go to NBS Auto on 1533 70th Ave. These guys were really busy and still got me in and out in 40 minutes! I would bet they sell twice as many tires without lying to customers in a day than trail does in a month!

Updating my review…read more Still coming to Chase and his team at Gate Avenue Service - I think we've brought 4 vehicles here now over 10 years. First and most importantly, Chase and his team are honest and hard working. They are extremely busy but always make time to diagnose and give second opinions. They have saved me money and given me solid advice multiple times when dealerships were leaving me astray. Most recently Chase and his team helped me to advocate (aka fight) Hyundai to get a replacement on my engine. Chase provided me all the documentation that Hyundai required not once, but twice, and in paper and in e-mail after Hyundai "misplaced" it. Chase did both of these requests same day. Chase has seen me at my worst (in tears) completely overwhelmed with car stress (and I don't speak car) and also completely flustered trying to explain what felt off with my vehicle when I seriously was not describing it well. The team at Gate is always courteous and treat me and all the customers I have ever seen with respect. The only limitation or downside with Gate is that they are really busy - and for good reason! So you may have to wait a bit for an appointment but they will always treat you right! PS They offer a program to store your tires for you! So I am comfortable in providing an honest and reliable review of this business. All of our dealings during that time have been with this company's first point of customer contact, that being Chase, the Manager. Chase has mastered the art of making clients feel welcome as soon as they enter the premises. I can easily say that Chase has provided top notch,first class customer service to us. I know my wife appreciates always being treated in a courteous and friendly manner. The quality of repair work is at a high standard and the prices are reasonable. I also asked Midas last week to provide copies of my previous invoices but did not receive them. Given my previous experience and the lack of follow-up, I have decided to have the brake repairs completed elsewhere. I went to Tireland to have a strut mount installed that I supplied from GM. Right after I left the…read moremount made rattling noises. When I took it back I was told the spring was not seated properly. That means it was installed improperly. If a car strut spring is slightly off and needs to be turned into a better seating position, it can cause damage to a strut mount by making it lose bearings. This is common. Sure enough 2 weeks later it was worse. I took it to a trustworthy GM Dealership because I also heard brake noises and they installed the brakes the year before. It was found it was not the brakes. Sure enough the strut mount Tireland installed was missing bearings. I had to pay two companies for the installation of a new strut mount and wheel alignment. Tireland refused to pay anything. Wouldn't even refund half. They even admitted they installed the spring incorrectly. I understand they won't warranty my strut mount. They did say because it is uncertain if the bearing were missing before or after their poor install they would pay half. Then they said no way. The original strut mounts lasted 13 years one side and 16 years on the side Tireland replaced. The 13 year install is still good 3 years later. Tireland install lasted 2 weeks. Sound suspicious? It is. They cannot be trusted period.

They had a bent rim sent out, repaired and back on my SUV the next day (this issue was completely missed at another garage).
