we love it, the cochinita pibil, the gringa and the governador are some of our fabs.... but in general everything we have tried we love their margarita is awsome, I'm not a tequila girl and I always end up having one; the cocorita is a must try but even the traditional one is great ! we come at least once a week for their taco Tuesday or their Sunday fun day and we love that the check comes per guest , so is so easy to divide..... great for big groups and families the patio is great for afternoons... the service is always welcoming and they are pretty fast overall I'm so happy we have found this amazing taco shop a neighborhood staple read more

It was my first time and the last, they really don't have many options and the dishes they have according to the waitress could not be substituted for another. That is to say, I ordered a huarache and I wanted it instead of meat with chicken and the waitress said no, and giving me explanations as if she could since we arrived, she did not give me the menu and then said she would bring it there without asking us if we wanted it, additionally she was in a hurry the whole time, when she gave me the bill, she knew I was ready to pay and she was going to leave, leaving me with the card in my hand, anyway. It was a bad experience since the taco options are only for people who eat pork, beef and shrimp. Very few options for vegetarians or those who only eat chicken, the music was very loud. read more

We had a great dinner tonight at "Okay Maguey" at Cactus and Tatum (near Chick-Fil-A)-It's a small place with a patio serving the best Mexico City cuisine. Our server, Fernando was great, informative and super friendly. His recommendations were spot on. The food was excellent and the drinks were really good, too. Perfectly sized portions, fresh ingredients and everything was prepared when ordered. They have only been in this location for 5 months and I don't think they've done any advertising? I believe it is family owned and operated and given the big chains opening at PV, I'd love to see a place like this survive. Please check them out if you get a chance. This place is tasty; I recommend giving it a try!! They have taco specials on Tuesdays and Sundays. My niece and I had the queso fundido - I was a little skeptical when it came out, but it was very good and I was sorry for misjudging it! I also had the gringa and del mojo de ajo tacos (they have descriptions on their website). Both were delicious! I also really enjoyed their green salsa (very slight spiciness). The red sauce served on the side with the taco was spicy and smoky and super flavorful. We sat at the bar and the bartender was super polite, friendly and attentive. We loved everything about this charming restaurant. Casual but classy ambiance with great music (not too loud) and beautifully painted wall murals. There is a small bar on one side and about a dozen tables. Great menu options with some unique choices. We started with the guacamole which was very tasty and had the chicken burrito and 2 types of tacos. Al pastor was served on a blue corn tortilla and the sauce was flavorful and just the right amount. The gobernador (shrimp) taco was really unique and sooo tasty! Came to try out Okay Maguey during lunch. The staff was friendly and attentive. We shared the flautas, enchiladas suizas and each had a taco al pastor. We thought the food was good and I would go back and would like to try some of the cocktails. Please please please get either real napkins or better disposable napkins. For such a nicely decorated restaurant, the 3" x 3" 1-ply napkins at the table were a joke. You get better napkins from a drive thru! read more

When we walked into the place, it was empty, we should have known better! If I could give this a negative star rating, I would. The food was horrible, no brewed ice tea. The service was even worse, they were very unfriendly, no chips and salsa, it was happy hour and they didn't even offer it to us. We ended up leaving without finishing our meals. This place is so good!! Everyone that works here is super friendly, and the food is amazing. The Al pastor tacos were recommended, and they were some of the best tacos I've had in a long time. The enchiladas were my favorite, the sauce on them were to die for. Add the fact that the margaritas were delicious and refreshing, this is one of my new favorite spots. It is also very reasonable!! Went in for an early dinner. Service was great & staff made great recommendations when asked. Had several appetizers - including the corn - which was delicious! Had a variety of taco's & enchiladas between our whole table. Only one taco was underwhelming - the others were all excellent as were both types of enchiladas. Food is authentic versus Americanized.
