Drink Menu - March 2026

Stopped by for lunch while I was in the area on a weekend and was really impressed. The service was fun and friendly throughout the time were were there. We started with the queso and it was really tasty. Of course we also asked for the chorizo with the queso. I also loved that they made sure to ask to let them know if we needed any extra tortillas. There was so much queso. I was a little worried about the reviews regarding the portion sizes but after eating the queso I just had enough space for pescadillas that I ordered. I enjoyed the pescadillas, and really liked the salsa that came with it. The pescadillas were nice and crispy and pretty tasty, but my favorite was still the queso. I can't wait to come back and try other options on the menu.

I liked this restaurant very much. The food was delightful. It was not too much but enough and yummy. The guy bringing our food was super nice and wonderful. The restaurant was not too big. The kitchen was open and you could see what was going on. My friend and I liked this restaurant. Since it was my friend's birthday, we were not charged for the yummy flan.

We found this place on our way to Costco one day and it did not disappoint. The vibe inside is fun updated Mexican cantina and the service was exceptional. The queso fundido with chorizo was cheesy and delicious. And the maguey bowl with carne asada was really good. This place is for sure a hit.

Nice patio to dine around noon in early march with beautiful weather. Service was excellent and friendly staff. Food was good to the tasting. The corn dish should be fresh, not from the cans -- we didn't like it. I wish it offers a few more options for vegetarians. Overall, it was good food and value -- our party enjoyed it & will come back !

Wow!! What a disappointing food experience. Let me star with the good. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The michelada was very good and overall the dining and kitchen area looked very clean. The steak was good but not worth the price . The guacamole was reasonably priced for what the amount you get but no flavor. The beans tasted old and metallic The rice tasted like they wanted to make it flavorful but failed. The carnitas were not good at all. They had a very weird taste to them. The enchiladas suizas were missing something, there was really no flavor to the sauce and the chicken had a chipotle flavor that didn't complement the tomatillo taste. We didn't like that the chef was grabbing everything with his bare hands and wasn't wearing gloves. Sadly this place wasn't for us . The decoration are nice and the restaurant itself is very cute but the food for us just didn't cut it.

Okay Maguey! I see you! This has quickly become a favorite happy hour spot for my husband and I! We'd been waiting a long time for this place to open and well worth the wait! The service is great, all the food and drinks have such unique flavors! It's a must try. They have several different types of tequila at the bar, and I am obsessed with their guava margarita! My husbands family was born and raised in Mexico, and some of the dishes I've had hear taste like I'm visiting his grandmas house! So delicious. They also had the chile verde pork, never even dreamt of that before and it was perfection. So savory and full of flavor. I love trying the different dishes they have and hanging at the bar for a nice HH treat.

I had a great meal and fantastic experience at Okay Maguey on a Monday evening for dinner with my family. Miguel was our server and he is absolutely amazing. So friendly, helpful, engaging, attentive and comfortable- overall just an awesome guy. Our meal was incredible too! They have a very creative menu! Standard offerings like tacos, enchiladas burritos and margaritas but super creative and unique spins on the items. We tried the enchiladas suizas, the birria tacos, both fantastic , also tried a few singular tacos - and there is a pork taco with bacon and cheese that was recommended by Miguel - was hesitant at first but it was INCREDIBLE and my favorite one. Overall 10/10 experience. We will absolutely be back!

I was really expecting a better Mexican food experience considering I was in Arizona. But I can get better American Mexican, and authentic Mexican in Ohio. The service workers are what's saving this review. Our server was so kind and did a great job serving our larger party. My main gripe is the food. The burrito was so bland. The grilled chicken tasted like there was no seasoning on it, and there was no sauce. Really lacked flavor. It was just grilled chicken and lettuce in a tortilla. The margarita was a margarita ‍ They also had a dj that was right next to our table, but we couldn't really hear any music. So I'm not sure what he was dj'ing? Overall rating: 2/5 I hate leaving a negative review, but this isn't a place I would recommend.

Okay Maguey was a really neat little place to dine at! You can't really tell from the outside how cute it is inside. It's not pretentious at all, and has bright colors and beautiful murals - very inviting! The service was top notch - super-friendly, very attentive. I felt very welcomed. Tacos are $1 off on Tuesdays AND Sundays. The food and drinks were delicious. Quite a few items to choose from on the menu, and vegetarian options if you do not eat meat/seafood. They also have a cute little patio if you'd rather sit outside. I'd definitely recommend this place, and would go back, myself!

Wow please try this place! We came for snacks after getting our nails done at Champere nails and got chips with salsa and cheese, and margs/paloma/beers. Great service. Everything tasted soooo good I will be back!

This was the second location we've been to of the chain and I would say it is the better one. Luckily, it is also down the street from us. My husband and I wanted a casual dinner with the kids as we had gone out the night before to celebrate our anniversary. I was really craving tacos. Our neighbors had recommended this location so w we gave it a try. The menu is pretty to the point but I'm not great with Spanish. I don't want to butcher the names so I'll just use my descriptions of the tacos I ordered: al pastor, shrimp and pork chop with bacon. Yes, there is a pork chop taco. My husband got what I believe was the enchiladas verde. We both enjoyed our meals. I just wish there was a hot salsa that had a little more heat or an option to order chips and salsa. Our margs were definitely delicious. They know what they're doing there for sure. Other than that, service and food was wonderful. We'll be back!

To start this is a really clean vibrant spot. We really liked the feel walking in. The drinks came out first and the mezcal pineapple was amazing. Really had great flavor and spice. Next the esquite came out and it was good but needed some Valentina or similar salsa Lastly the mains. I got the enchiladas which were good. Not the best version I've had but would get again. My wife got the tacos and quesadilla. The tacos were both amazing. Sadly the tinga quesadilla was bland and dry. Tinga is my favorite but was disappointed with this recipe. Our server was very kind and always on top of it. Solid 4/5

Every time I come here it gets more packed, which is both annoying and completely understandable because the food is ridiculously good. The tacos are fantastic, the fries are life-changing, and the hongos fries specifically deserve their own national holiday. This place made the Top 100 food spots in America list, and honestly? Deserved. It's the best taco spot in the country in my opinion and makes places like Torchy's feel like they're competing in junior varsity. The vibe is also way above average for a taco joint; lively, clean, and full of people who look like they just took their first bite and immediately started planning their next visit. The taco crew is always friendly too, even while dealing with lines longer than a DMV on a Monday. If you don't know what to order, here's the move: Get one taco or an especial if you're a cheese enthusiast, a medium fry with your topping of choice, and guac with chips. That's the kind of meal that makes you sit in your car afterward thinking about your life choices in a positive way. Enjoy. And maybe stretch beforehand because you're going to want to fight someone over the last hongos fry.

Don't forget hit up the sauce bar! My favorite is the orange salsa which is a creamier sauce that has a hint of heat. Love!

Most recently was last night after a rough rental car situation (avoid NU check those reviews eek) and the bartender was awesome. Quick service, friendly and took my order perfectly. Strawberry lemonade is my absolute favorite and if you know me I'm a lemonade girl. Tacos are perfect, the meat has virtually no weird fat on them like most tacos do. Both carne and chicken. Since this establishment offered various types of tacos, we tried a bit of different kinds and overall enjoyed the differences in taste and texture. Specifically, I thought the sonoran taco was very innovative as it involved two kinds of salsa to provide a color juxtaposition, which also offered the carne asada different experiences in flavor. I also enjoyed the costra taco which was made with caramelized cheese over it, offering a pleasant fried flavor on the tortilla itself. The barbacoa taco was very juicy since the beef was very well-made. In contrast, the carne asada taco was a bit dry for some reason, and relied on the avocado salsa for both taste and juiciness. The fish taco didn't have enough fish, and had a lot of batter around the fish along with excessive pickled onion pieces. Since this spot is located in a very nice area, the arts district, I would recommend it to anyone that's around the area. It'd be a nice lunch after visiting the Phoenix Art Museum, which is only a mile away from here!
