These are the best tacos my partner and I have had in a long time, we had no idea they even served blue corn tortillas which not many (if any) LOCAL restaurants serve them. We got one of each taco on the menu. Their margaritas are also fantastic! We were regulars at a tacos spot on Thunderbird st but decided to try something new. We have seen this new spot before but never stopped by.. we regret not coming by sooner because this location has officially taken the #1 spot on our list and will be our new go to. I've been here three times now (would have been 4 if the old man server wasn't such a grump). The concept is supposed to be Mexico City inspired. Truly the only palatable item here is the Elote/Esquites (Mexican corn)--which is why I've returned. The last straw was the crappy attitude from the older male server...I still can't understand why some people work in the service industry that hate providing service. Anywho, Apple maps said this place closes at 10pm on Fridays, came in on a Friday at 9:03pm and was met with said server barking his hours of operation at me. (Perhaps update hours of operation) With already not great food, the crap service is the icing on the cake. Pretty sure this review wont even exist a year from now since this establishment probably wont be open. Hope that guy finds a better job that suits his crass demeanor. This place is fantastic! It opened 2 months ago. Clean, bright, open kitchen concept. The drinks are perfect (spicy Margarita) but best of all the food is delicious: fresh with high quality ingredients. We had the Gobernador taco to start with and immediately had to have another one. This was followed by the Cochinita taco and Huarache Maguey. The service was great as well. I look forward to coming back...tomorrow! read more

Getting to the point, the food, service and ambience are great. The space is open and bright with great decorative touches everywhere you look. The service was great, warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The staff made sure we had what we needed without being intrusive. I ordered a strawberry mint marg that was delicious. The manager gave us his recommendations along with some background info on the recipes. He went with three taco and some enchiladas. All were surprisingly good. The salsas they brought out to accompany the tacos were AMAZING and only amplified how good the tacos were on their own. This place exceeded my expectations and I am definitely coming back to try some more.... My Tuesday night dining friend suggested the generous guacamole appetizer with tender avocado chunks and homemade chips to start our dinner. I marveled carnita tacos and remembered with appreciation how much I like The New York Steak Taco with onions. They let us know it's not your typical style. The taste was so good and my wife wanted more after she first said she didn't want any. I ordered an al pastor burrito and my wife got a bowl. These guys are 2 for 2 in screwing up your order I have ordered takeout from this place twice both times missing tacos. After arriving home you get the surprise of missing items. 4 bucks a pop for 1 bite street tacos and 14 dollars for their top of the line OK Macguey burrito, which was the chintziest burrito I've ever seen. But here's the kicker it was mostly gristle! I spit out 4 pieces half way through! I wasn't about to finish. Ordered a side of rice but the container was less than half full. Totally disappointing experience not to mention the rude owner talking over my wife when-she called back to let them know about the missing taco and the gristle filled burrito. Instead of making things right, she argued about it. All in all, not a good experience, small portions for the prices. And poor customer service read more

This is a great restaurant! Super friendly staff, along with delicious authentic Mexican food. If you are lucky enough you will get to sit at the bar and Fernando will be making you amazing margaritas and filling you on the history of the food. If there were more stars to give I would! Sat at the bar and was served by the owner which was awesome. Most tacos and entrees are made or served with corn tortillas and they assured us of them being safe. I was pretty confident in the food until I realized churros are fried in a fryer somewhere in the restaurant. The owner also assured me I was good but didn't specifically say they fry churros in an entirely different fryer than the chips and quesadillas. I was very happy with it for the most part but may need to do further investigating or talking with the owner about how safe their fryers are before returning. read more

My pet peeve when going into a Mexican restaurant is when no chips are offered. I inquired but was told the only way to get chips was to buy the guacamole. I ordered three of the thinly sliced steak tacos. I had to remove almost half of each slice as they were filled with fat. I'm going to chalk up the bad reviews to growing pains. It's practically in our back yard so we have watched it painfully trying to open since pre-Covid. I was skeptical but my foodie husband wanted to check it out. We loved the food, the service, and the atmosphere. I was surprised that it was a sit down dining experience since I expected it to be more along the lines of chipotle. However, it exceeded our expectations.
