This location in Westlake is a very small office and the waiting area/lobby is very little and was packed! Had to wait 35 minutes past my appointment time so that was a little frustrating. Everyone is so nice here and the medical assistant who took care of me was a sweetheart! Thank you Emily! She was kind and professional and bandaged me up so good after having 3 small squamous cell cancer removals (scraping with cauterization) And... Dr. Lin!! He's great! I love that he takes his time with his patients! He's thorough, explains things well, he's kind and patient... and he keeps it simple! No unnecessary aggressive treatments... I have to say, there was another dermatologist I went to years ago who was very aggressive towards treating a tiny squamous cell skin cancer on my other leg. He performed Mohs surgery that probably wasn't necessary! I had to fight with my insurance because they denied it at the first request for authorization and again in my first appeal then finally approved it. So looking back I think maybe it was a bit overkill? Anyway!! If you're trying to decide on a dermatologist I highly recommend Dr. Lin and his team!

There was absolutely no conversation about dermatological products I'm using, my lifestyle or what might be contributing to the issues I came in about. - Prescriptions: Upon entering the exam room, he immediately rattled off multiple prescriptions he was going to give me, without any discussion. One of the medications he prescribed is something I already take, and he suggested I use it more, which isn't feasible for my lifestyle. When I mentioned this, he added another prescription, then noted that it may not be approved by my insurance. Overall, I felt rushed and unheard. This was the worst dermatological visit I've ever had, and I will not be returning.

My initial experience should have been a red flag! I was met by a condescending and hostile receptionist when I was initially questioning billing and procedures at the front desk. I was so dissatisfied with the service that I decided to leave. Management ended up giving me a call and apologizing about the experience and was able to accommodate me with Dr. Singh the next day if I wanted to continue. I unfortunately obliged and was met with a botched excision in the aftermath. During this entire process I asked multiple times that my insurance covers the procedure and they stated yes this is an in office visit and it's covered minus copay. Dr. Singh has been kind and probably the only professional there but I have lost confidence since my second surgery which was to revise the initial botched scar excision. My scar has become much bigger and pronounced now! Also have bald spot due to this! I'm really upset!!!! To make matters worse, they are now billing me an excess amount whereas this should be covered by insurance as they also validated. At this point I don't know if they are over-billing and just stiffing the clients!! Seems they even billed me for a 2 minute phone call question with the doctor. During this fiasco I asked to speak with billing manager Debbie whom was extremely rude and unprofessional. Each time I tried explaining the situation, she would constantly talk over me not allowing to get my message across, I told her I would not deal with ever again and to have her direct superior contact me! As of 1 week ago, no one has called yet they keep spamming my phone regarding the fraudulent outstanding balance. I would not send anyone I care about here!!! I call them back and nobody picked up, but there was an option to text with them. So I sent three follow up questions. None of the questions had anything to do with me or my anatomy. So you tell me why I have to spend a $100 for a "consultation" to find out if numbing is included in the price, if they use the actual body handpiece and not the smaller face one, and how deep they go. So if the first thing they tell me, during this consult, is that no, they do not use the actual body handpiece and I dont want their services then poof! There goes my $100. Why on earth would I spend $100 for them to answer basic questions they *should* answer for any prospective client. I just moved to the area and im so disappointed. Way to lose a really good potential client. As a business owner myself I am truly shocked at the ridiculousness of all of this. Id rather pay more elsewhere than go here and be treated poorly.
