The chicken was mad tender and flavorful, the portion size was perfect if you have an appetite and want a little for leftovers. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was amazing! Comfiest chair I ever sat on, 2 huge screens by the seating area and one behind the bar to watch your fav sports matches. Low lighting, not too bright, awesome chandeliers to tie the place together. We were sat down at a table and waited almost 30 mins before we left.We left because a couple was sat down and within a few minutes the waitress, which walked by us quite a few times, came and asked them what they would like to drink. I ordered food at 6.14pm on a Wednesday and I was still waiting for it at 6.47pm with 6 people in the restaurant. Three stars, but really it deserves both a 2 star and a 5 star. Our server, Ben, was incredibly attentive and friendly, AWESOME service. He even gave us detailed tips/instructions on how to reheat leftover fried sushi, and packed to go sauces for our box. Place was clean and well decorated, quiet and more posh than I was expecting. Bar high top section optional, but no view of the kitchen, more of a sports bar/tv section. Gyoza appetizer was delicious, one of the best I've ever had. I got the steak and shrimp hibachi, sub noodles for rice. Shrimp was incredible, among the best hibachi shrimp I've ever had. Noodles were good, but nothing special. Steak was ordered medium rare, and unfortunately came WELL done. Hibachi vegetables were stone cold. My partner got the Dragon Roll and Tiger Roll, and both were phenomenal, very apparent high quality ingredients and care put into the rolls. Beautiful presentation. With just a few tweaks this place could easily get 5 stars. I would return to give them another chance, but likely won't be in the area again. Well, well, well ... here I am with my foot in my mouth. The first time we stopped here was a Friday night and it was beyond busy. Tonight was a Thursday night and it was much of the same however they only had one server for the entire place. We were seated and waited about 15 minutes to be greeted. (Two tables walked out in the time it took us to get our drinks) Now, my review is NOT based on service. The girl was friendly, funny, and doing her best under the circumstances. My review is based solely on the quality of the food we received Thursday night. The sushi was mediocre at best. I've had better/Fresher sushi from Publix at 9:00pm. The sushi just didn't't taste fresh it had a sort of extra fishy flavor if you know what I mean. I will probably not be back to Masa and will continue to look for a better sushi establishment in town. read more

Been to Masa three times. We have been pleased every time. The minute you walk in you're greeted. We've been seated promptly and a server arrives quickly with a menu and your drink order. The food comes out quickly and steaming hot! Then comes the good part, very tasty and nice size portions. On our last visit we had chicken lomein and Basil shrimp. Both were excellent! I have mixed experiences at Masa. I have been here over a dozen times and each one is a bit different. I like to sit at the sushi bar so I can watch them make sushi. The last two times the sushi refrigerator area is covered with condensation and you can't see the fish. One visit I asked for a special roll to be made. It was similar to some on the current menu with a slight modification. While it was made very well and the best roll IMO that I had there they charged me too much; $19 which was more then their other roles. A different visit they left the tobiko off the roll which I did no ask for. The salmon and tuna have always fresh; some of the other fish has been a bit mixed such as the yellowtail or red snapper. I never have mackerel so I can't speak to that. I have found the sushi to be a bit more consistent at Wasabi as well as they are a bit more accommodating. With that said I would still go to Masa as it is ok just not my first choice due to being inconsistent. Last season I felt Masa was a bit better than it is today. read more

The Sashimi deluxe was good. Only issue I had was with the Mackerel. It was extremely fishy smelling and tasting. This was my first time trying it and I only tried 1 of the 3 pieces. Mackerel is not for me. I will say the white tuna was very tasty and probably my favorite. Salmon and Tuna were on point as well. Second time in my life trying Yellowtail and it was great. I have no clue what other kind of fish were on that plate, but they were fresh. I got a spicy lobster roll to go for later when I get hungry again. Not a bad place to grab some sushi. I'll be back. Not sure if this place recently sold?? But entire staff down to the servers are new. Giving this place 5 stars for the past 3 years I now have to say I will never go back. The food was horrible last night. It was my go to place for sushi, not anymore! The fish was not cold and seemed mushy in spots. Sushi chef while trying to make dish look fancy the pieces of fish were cut so thick made it undesirable, pieces were cut so unevenly with some chunks of ends just thrown in I told the waiter and his answer was "at least you get your moneys worth", that's not how I look at it . To me the food from the apps to the main course is not the same and not in a good way.. When I asked the girl at the front desk on my way out what happen to the original staff she said a couple of people went back to NY! I said a couple? The entire staff is gone! Needless to say I will never return read more

Love Masa! The service is great, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is beautiful, presentation is stunning and is the best sushi place in the area. The miso and clear soup is flavorful which believe it or not-can taste very off at many other places in the area. Spicy shrimp roll seems like it is impossible to find but they have it here! My boyfriend gets the Generals Tsos Special which is nice if you want sushi and your partner does not like seafood. We both agree that this is a wonderful restaurant in a multitude of ways. They even gave us a roll on the house which was delicious as well and is a lovely surprise. Our server was attentive the entire time, was very friendly and was efficient.
