Average sushi spot. Went on a saturday afternoon and it was empty. Service was super quick, not much rice used on the rolls which was nice. Nice spot for a quick lunch!

Food was amazing and the chef was hilarious! One of the best hibachi experiences! Also pretty flowers out front!

Shrimp tempura, salmon , and white tuna rolls

Stopped off here on the way out of town for a work assignment. It had a good yelp rating so I decided to try it out. I was not disappointed at all. Friendly service, nice decor and soft music. I had the lunch special with 3 sushi rolls and salad with ice tea. The food was tasty and it filled me up. I ordered shrimp tempura roll, a salmon roll and white tuna roll. Lunch specials are reasonable with what you get.

If I was writing this review just based on the food, it would 4 stars. My only complaint was that the ginger dressing on the salad was a little grainy and the lobster and shrimp hibachi were overcooked. The soup, steak, chicken, and filet mignon hibachi were all delicious. Our chef, however, was a different story. I was in the middle of a conversation when the chef arrived and instead of waiting for us to finish talking or getting our attention in a polite way, he banged his utensils on the grill and stared at us. Now, after that I was expecting a show and that's not at all what we got. He made a half- ass onion volcano, and decided he was done for the day. No jokes, no tossing of the broccoli, and barely even a smile. He didn't ask how anything was and didn't offer any additional yum yum sauce before taking off. He could not get out of there fast enough. We were in a group of 8 so a 20% gratuity was required for this lackluster service. We paid our bills and before half of us had put our credit cards back in our wallets, a woman who I think was the owner or the manager came up to us and asked us if we were leaving or if she could move us to a different table. I understand if we were lingering for a long time on a busy Saturday night, but as I said we hadn't even been there for 5 minutes after we'd paid. For a group of customers who just spent well over $500, I would have expected to be treated better. I'll probably just stick with takeout if I give this place another chance.

Pretty good sushi. Didn't try the habachi. Definitely nothing approaching authentic, as we discovered when the mochi was served with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. read more

LOVE this place! Pretty much always get the Hibachi Shrimp and I've never been disappointed. Best to go in during the week for lunch (half the price). That being said, I wish they always offered their lunch menu option because then I'd eat there every day. Service has always been good. Have always sat in front restaurant part but from what I've heard they put on a pretty good show when you have them make it in front of you! read more

Best Sushi in Winchester. Half price on Thursday and it gets a bit hectic. Get it to go/ call ahead and you can't beat it. Chicken lo mein is best in Winchester. Great place, the build out/ decor is what you find in nice Japanese Steakhouses in the city. read more

This was my second time to visit Winchester. My husband and I were checking out the area for a possible move. After shopping we decided to try Okinawa. The staff was super friendly. Very clean and contemporary inside. We sat and had sushi and yummy sake. We ordered the kimchi dumpling soup which was spicy but excellent. The American roll and Monkey roll. It was all amazing and presented beautifully. The hibachi grill area in the other room looked wonderful too and everyone was enjoying the entertaining chefs. We will surely be back next time we visit! Very memorable. read more

After hearing about how great this place was a friend and I decided to check it out and it was amazing! We only had salad and sushi but that's all we needed. The portions were nice and the presentation was beautiful! The only thing that disappointed me was I wanted to try their saki sangria but was unable to because I guess they only make it in large quantities and since I went on a slow evening they hadn't prepared any. Other than that I would recommend this place to anyone who loves good food. read more

Great sushi specials. Keep in mind that these guys use fresh fish and when the specials are rolling the whole town comes out. I personally would rather wait a bit and get a top notch plate of sushi, than be in and out with a subpar plate of raw fish. If you are in a hurry Martins down the street sells pre-made grab and go "sushi". The kitchen menu is great for people that don't dig raw fish or the show of hibachi. Try the yakisoba, you won't regret it! read more

I have gone several times in the past year and have repeatedly been served by the same waitress with the worst attitude I have ever encountered. Last night was the worst behavior yet. I went with 3 other friends, 2 of whom ordered immediately, and myself and another friend decided to wait and have a drink before ordering. Each time the waitress came by and we thanked her, she said nothing back and walked away. She then came to the table, reached across the table without saying a word, and attempted to take my menu from me. I told her I planned to order in a few minutes, and she actually rolled her eyes and walked away from our table. After I placed my order, my friend placed hers, then the server left our table and angrily punched the wall while walking back to the kitchen. It was quite obvious she was speaking to her co-workers about our table, and after that episode, she sent other people over to cover our table. We were all stunned by her behavior and will never be going back there again. Completely inappropriate, unprofessional, and disrespectful to customers who were respectful towards her. read more

My son loves sushi so I took him to Okinawa for a special birthday dinner. It was very crowded, because I guess we came on a half-price sushi night. I'm not a big fan, so I ordered a grilled chicken and steak dinner. They brought my meal to the table and the server explained because they were busy his sushi would take a little longer. Well, 20 minutes later, still no sushi. I did not want to eat in front of him so my meal became stone-cold. I flagged down the server and explained I thought this was a bad practice and, of course, she simply made excuses. I told her I know it was not her fault, but I wanted to speak to the manager. We came to eat dinner TOGETHER, and this was a horrible policy to serve one meal so far in advance. Finally his meal arrived, but the manager never did. I packed up mine to take home and reheat later. When we were leaving I asked again to speak to the manager, but it turns out she was out in the lobby area on her cell phone and was apparently unavailable to actually manager the restaurant on a very busy night. We will not be going to Okinawa again. There are too many other, better options in the Winchester area. read more

We love Okinawa! Our family has made it part of our weekly routine to come in for Sushi! Out of everywhere we have been in Winchester this place is by far the best. The fish is fresh and the presentation is stunning. We suggest trying the Japan 1, Gina, Volcano, and Jalapeno roll expecially if you like midly spicy food. When my kids stay home my husband and I like to order the Love Boat for two which is this huge wooden boat loaded with sushi and sashimi. The owner Anna always takes the time to come over and ask us how our family is doing. The bartender Shana brings us our drinks before we even have to order anymore. Last Tuesday was my brother's Birthday so we got to try the Hibachi side and even though it normally is not our cup of tea we had a wonderful time. The chef was plenty of fun. He squirted sake at us and water at our kids. We had food catching contests that the kids loved. After dinner they turned out the lights and brought out a free desert for my brother for his birthday. I have eaten at Okinawa since they opened up and have always found the food to be high quality and delicious! We usually get sushi and with so much to choose from I could have something different every time ~ but have to have the tuna! We have also enjoyed the food that is cooked right in front of you and no matter which chef you get, the show is always a lot of fun making it great place to come for special occasions like birthdays or when friends are in town. We dine in quite often, just the two of us and it is quiet, the staff is friendly and attentive and the food is very good with generous portions. I always enjoy eating at Okinawa! The sushi is fantastic, beautiful on the plate and in my mouth. The staff is courteous and quick to get anything you may need and the owner often stops and chats with us ~ a very personal dining experience that lends to the great atmosphere. My family and friends have had a wonderful time in the grill area, the food is very tasty and the show they put on a lot of fun. Even my teenager who will not smile at all relaxes and has a good time. I am not a shrimp eater, but will eat the shrimp at Okinawa on the grill, it is just so fresh and the grilling enhances the flavor. Probably will stop in again tonight for dinner after writing this in the am as now I want some good sushi! read more

Best sushi in the valley! Great hibachi and extremely entertaining! Have had both my kids' birthday dinners in the back party room! Great cocktails and great beer on tap! Warm and friendly bartender and the owner is always accommodating! We spend a lot of time here and never disappointed! Thursday's they have half off sushi!!! Great sushi, great hibachi grill! Fun place with great food! I definitely recommend!! One of the bar tenders - Shana, is so sweet and helpful! I have been probably a dozen times and I do admit, Thursday's it does take a little longer to get the sushi, but that's only to be expected because they are busier! They still being out appetizers or whatever else you order timely. It's worth the little bit of an extra wait for such cheap and delicious sushi!!! Love this place! read more

The sushi is great, and seems quality for what you would expect in this area. Unfortunately the real problem with this place is the waitstaff. They are as rude as can be. We've had several recent negative experiences due to the inattentive and "couldn't care less" attitude of the servers. The one bartender girl is great though, good attitude and was more helpful than our own server. Poor service is a sign of poor management. We won't be back. read more

I LOVE this restaurant!!! The Rainbow Sashimi Salad and the Pink Lady are two favorites. I can not say enough about the service; it is amazing , too. This is my favorite restaurant in Winchester. My favorite place for Sushi! Thursday is half priced sushi! It is always so delicious and it's so cheap on Thursday! You must buy a drink to get the half priced deal though. But still what a deal! All the employees are nice and we have always had a wonderful experience! read more
