I'm not sure if they ran out of their regular corn side dish but instead of the creamed corn like I had the first time and was looking forward to, it was this corn on the cob drenched in butter. Way too much butter but I also felt like the waitress should have told me. My green beans tastes fake as well. Luckily both of my protein options were great but sadly, the bad side dishes caused me to take a star away and makes me wonder if I should give this location another try. read more

Nice local BBQ in the middle of the stockyard. Our waitress was very friendly and even offered to give us a taste sample of their sides. Their jalapeño pasta salad was very unique and tasty. I had the shredded beef sandwich which was well made with a great bun that held it all together. She told us they make their own buns. read more

We came to eat breakfast at 7:45 am. We were the only one's here this early on a Saturday morning. This was a perfect stop on our long road trip. We ordered Big Hoss, Brisket Quesadilla, and Brisket Tacos. The atmosphere is located in the Oklahoma Stockyards. The restaurant is quaint, service friendly, and food is delicious. Weird service to start! Ok, we have eaten at Moore location but decided to go closer to home due to weather. First time at this location and not sure if connected. WOW, is all I keep thinking. Was alittle bit before order taken. I ordered the Woody Dog with bbq beans. Husband rib dinner with Cole slaw and noodle salad.. His came out and she asked if we were sharing. Ah, No. I told her I had ordered also. So a Waitress came, stood there taking back husband's tray? She seemed totally confused! She went back to talk to other waitress and then over to the side. I thought are they on gummies? Lol Both waitresses were soft spoken and seemed confused! We never could figure out why taking back rib tray. I'm guessing she didn't put my Woody dog order in. Well I got mine....like hurried heated up on a dry bun. Not good. I tried to get a few bites down but NO. Sweet tea good. Service is so questionable, I keep shaking my head. They saw I didn't eat and brought a container of banana pudding. I don't eat bananas so I'm at home eating Cheetos! I'm a pretty easy going person but I did leave a smaller than normal tip. This BBQ joint blew us away. Laid-back atmosphere. Good hospitality. Reasonably priced entrees. The ribs were delicious: a good balance of sweet and savory flavors. No sauce is needed but if you want to, their Carolina BBQ sauce is excellent. When I heard it was mustard-based I was worried but it had just the right amount of mustard. The ribs were so tender. Maybe too tender. The sides were also delicious. Mac n cheese was made to my liking. Their cole slaw was vinegar-based but it's not too tangy-just the right amount of vinegar. This is one of the most friendliest place I've been. The host and cashier was friendly and attentive. Once I told her it was my first time here she immediately recommended some items and even got me a sample to try before ordering. Once I placed my order a customer who had already ordered blessed me with generous conversation as we waited for our food. After about 15-20 minutes, our food arrived and I was out the door. Now while I do think this is some of the better bbq I've had, it also didn't hit the mark for me. The ribs were dry and no amount of sauce would help. The chicken was pretty decent and the brisket was just flat, nothing special amount of fat could redeem it. The macaroni was bland and the green beans were basic. The icing on the cake was there was no utensils placed in the bag, luckily my hotel had plenty. While I probably won't be revisiting, I do recommend it for its ambiance and customer service. This was the first time we've eaten here. When walking in, I guess from the wrong door, we were clueless if we sat ourselves or if we were to waiting for them to seat us. No signage letting you know what to do. (When leaving I did see a sign located at the other door. Stupid me) The waitress at the register just stared at us and I was the one to ask what the hell was I doing here. Pepsi only products? Blah. Asked what the secret menu was since it was listed on the chalkboard and the response was, "we don't have one today." The brisket and hot links were good but a word to the wise, don't order the "the pit masters roll of the dice." He's not your friend. He really hates you. Slab of Turkey (dry) cubed bologna (this isn't a charcuterie board), collard greens (nope!) and potato salad (bland). To add insult to injury, a knife isn't present so I guess you are supposed to eat your dry turkey caveman style. Waitress checked on us after we were finished our meal ( I mean after I shared my eatable meal with my husband) and answered her ringing cell phone upon walking away from our table. Great location in Stockyard City and great food! By far the tenderest and most flavorful brisket I have had in OK City. Service was great, our waitress, Candy, was very attentive and kept checking in on us. I had the two meat plate with ribs and fatty brisket (you can order sliced brisket lean, fatty, or mixed). Just had the Brisket Philly, and let me tell you--it was amazing! As a HUGE Philly cheesesteak fan, I wasn't sure how swapping out the classic steak for brisket would go, but wow, it worked perfectly. The brisket was smoky, tender, and packed with flavor, a fun twist on the traditional Philly. The spot itself had these awesome classic western vibes, and the staff? This place opened not too long ago. I was very impressed. The sandwich was huge and loaded. The brisket had that perfect smoky flavor. I also got the mac & cheese, which was really good and creamy. The jalapeños poppers were really good as well. This place is a little tucked away in the stockyards, but definitely worth visiting I will be back. read more

We were looking for something new to try for dinner and this place showed up on the map in cow town. It didn't look like much on the outside, but the small from the smokers was enticing. The menu is unique, especially the back page. I ordered a sandwich that includes whatever meats are on the chopping board. It was great. There are 3 barbecue sauces to choose from. This place is absolutely awesome. The smoked turkey has to be the best I've had at any bbq restaurant. The sliced fatty brisket is on point the 4 times I've visited. The okra and beans are a must eat side. The ribs were delicious the one time I got them. The service has been very friendly each time. 100% recommend.
