Really enjoyed this boxed lunch and would recommend the restaurant. Fair warning, I have never been to the establishment in person. I had delivery only. The wrap was packed full of fresh ingredients including crispy fried chicken strips and fresh lettuce & tomato. I love meals that are full of flavor and this one definitely fit the bill. I was delighted to find tortilla chips and surprisingly good salsa with my order. I also enjoyed the Caesar dressing that came with my wrap and the fact that they also included Ranch dressing so that I would have choices. A minor issue was that I got a brownie when I had ordered a lemon bar. I had a brownie earlier this week in a different boxed lunch and really didn't want another one and I do so love lemon bars. Overall it was a good place to grab lunch. You had to order at the counter and they deliver to your table! We had a super friendly order taker, I didn't get her name but she was really nice. My receipt said Joshua and she was definitely no Joshua! My group completed their order and then I ordered a 1/2 Chicken & 1/2 Beef plate of Nachos. I would definitely recommend those! My choice for lunch was a Regular South Philly - to be honest it could have used some more meat. In my opinion there was just not enough to satisfy my Philly craving. 3 of us had the South Philly, one chose a salad and the other had Chicken Nachos on Waffle Fries. We did a group order through Door Dash today at work and I ordered a Classic philly but in a bowl and added lettuce and tomatoes with spicy ranch. Everything was great until the meat. It was seriously like the size of bacon bits and very little of it. So instead of me having a resemblance of a philly, I had something that ended up being a side salad. We decided to hit this little joint after arriving OKC for an early lunch before we headed out to a meeting. I got the THE HICKORY with waffle fries. It was nicely cooked packed full of flavor, the Hickory BBQ sauce tucked deep inside the shredded beef gave the sandwich a nice sweet hickory taste, but wait... all of a sudden you will feel the heat from the spicy cherry peppers!!! We were craving a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. After a little research, found Texadelphia in Bricktown near Harkins theater. When we walked in they were not very busy. We all ordered the South Philly. They definitely give you enough meat and veggies. However, the cheese "whiz" was not enough, but they gladly gave us more. Normally, the cheesesteaks are served with Chips and salsa. We paid extra for their seasoned waffle fries. The fries were very tasty! We started with their chips and queso and the queso was amazing! Ok so we went here with family and I nabbed the beef south Philly and well I was a bit let down. I mean the bread was just normal bread. It needed to be a little toasted or something. It was just too soft like almost not overly done. And the beef wasn't really overly seasoned. It was tender and I didn't find any bad cuts of meat in it but it was just lacking something. The peppers and onions were good and the cheese wasn't bad but i felt like it was the same thing served at taco Bueno. And so we're the chips. We were told to get the waffle fries and queso but they are having a hard time getting the fry seasoning so it was really just some waffle fries with cheese dip. The wife got the grown up grilled cheese. Supposedly there were jalapeños in it but she didn't taste them... didn't ask if she looked... she did say it could have used some more cheese but at least the bar drinks were good. Is there a potato shortage that I don't know about? Did the potato farmers of... Idaho or whatever have a bad year and restaurant owners are now dealing with increased potato prices? I'm just wondering, because Texadelphia is rationing their waffle fries like it's World War II. Seven pieces of waffle fries. I know this because I counted. With one hand. Because that's what you do when you're dealing with numbers so low that you think you're watching the Count on Sesame Street. "Oh greetings, it is I, the Count! What is the Sesame Street number of the day? Ah, that's one! One waffle fry! Two! Two waffle fries! Three! Three potato pieces! Four! Five! Six! Seven! Seven Waffle Fries! AH-AH-AH-AH!" So unless there's a potato famine happening, maybe don't be so damn stingy on something that requires the customers to pay an up-charge? Because I don't like tortilla chips (also, tortilla chips with a cheesesteak? What kinda nonsense is that?). And I like even less getting gypped on something for which I had to pay extra. We haven't gone to war with North Korea yet, you guys... You can spare the potatoes... We're in Oklahoma, yo. Our state's obesity rate tells me we like our potatoes. So gimme my damn up-charged waffle fries. The sandwiches were also not particularly filling with the meat either (the pictures give the impression that the meat portions are generous). A Philly cheesesteak should never be lacking in meat. Unless it's a Texas version of a Philly cheesesteak apparently. Guess not everything from Texas is bigger... Customer service is pretty good though, so yay for that. And that Salsa Ranch sauce is noice. It's a great dipping sauce for those seven pieces of waffle fries. Edit: So my 2013 review also highlights how I got like... seven waffle fries (I guess I've forgotten that I've had the same issues before). Always looking for patio dining in the Covid Era recently we tried Texadelphia in Bricktown. The patio area is well shaded but the tables were well worn, cracked, chipped, & none to clean. Wait staff was non existent. It took forever to get our orders out. That being said the Philly sandwiches and salad were very tasty. Decided to give this place a shot after browsing their menu, online. I saw that they had a apple and ham sandwich. Interesting combination. Also sounded like one really cant mess that up. This is a place where you order at the counter first, then they bring you your food. So, not sure how a previous review could have said the "service was bad", when there really is no service. I was greeted right away and placed my order, with ease. I was asked if I wanted to substitute the tortilla chips for fries. I declined. But I also read that there is an upcharge for the substitution. The previous reviewer whined that they weren't told about the charge, when it was in writing. But anyway, I also got a flavored tea with my meal and ordered it to go. They had a peach/mango tea and a watermelon tea. Both were very sweet. I opted for the peach/mango. Unfortunately, but not really, the tea ran out before filling up my cup. But, that's ok, as I topped it off with regualr unsweet tea, to balance out how sweet it was. And I was a little disappointed to learn that they used a powder for the flavoring of the iced tea, instead of a homemade recipe. I took the sandwich and a half of bag of chips back to my hotel. They put the tortilla chips at the bottom of the bag, and the sandwich on top. So, the weight of the sandwich crushed a lot of the chips. Maybe put the chips in a different container? However, these chips were really thin. The kind I really like, compared to Chuy's, if you have ever been. The sandwich was pretty good. Bread was really soft. I was ok with the amount of ham. It might have been better with slightly thicker pieces of apple. And they skimped on the included mustard. But, overall, it was a good meal. It was a very big piece of chicken and the sandwich came out fast so best I can figure is it was precooked and then warmed up when the order was placed. Again, this is only a guess. This isn't the best restaurant I've ever ate at but I still believe that this place deserves 5 stars and I'm going to tell you why in just 2 simple reasons. 1) Friendly employees. Service is extremely important to me and everyone was really friendly and polite. 2) Good food and perfectly-sized portions. The food is a playful combination of Tex-Mex and Philly Cheesesteaks. I ordered The Founder, Philly Cheesesteak (original size) sandwich. It was delicious and very close to a "traditional" Philly. It came with chips and salsa (I know that everyone recommends their waffle fries but I wasn't hungry for French fries that night). The chips were light and crunchy. The salsa was blended...therefore, all one consistency which I didn't care for because I prefer chunky salsa but it wasn't terrible. I did try the ranch salsa and it was fantastic! Definitely my new favorite condiment and that's saying a lot bc I'm not a ranch lover/addict. We also tried their blended Moscow Mule (we love Moscow Mules) and the thin mint shake which was delicious and reminded me of Saint Patrick's day/the Shamrock shake from McD's. Both were great and I'd recommend that you try them. If you want to dislike this place because you've been to Philly and had many many versions of cheesesteaks before then you've probably already made up your mind to hate this place. (Remember that we're a long way from Philadelphia and a heck of a lot closer to Texas...Just keep that in mind.) However, if you're more open-minded and are open to trying a place that blends 2 types of fun food then you're in for a treat! read more
